I selected a "lakeview" room and was thrilled by the exquisite view of Lake Tahoe from my third-story balcony. I was able to watch the sunrise and sunset each day. Room service was very good and promptly delivered, and dinner at Jimmy's was excellent. I received exceptional service at the spa as well. The front desk service was mediocre compared to the rest of the hotel. I expected to be asked about my stay upon checkout; instead, I received the impression that the person didn't care about my experience. That was disappointing, but I'd still recommend The Landing for its restaurant, views, comfort, and amenities.

Love this place. We even booked an extra night as we loved it! Very family friendly feel and smaller. Usually stay at Edgewood, but thought we’d get a way nicer room with a lake view and large balcony than a standard room at Edgewood. Jimmy restaurant is great too. Great service and food. Special thanks to Charles and Mel. Very friendly and accommodating Love this place.

Great hotel with great service. It is 30' from Lakeside beach and Lake Tahoe. The restaurant has great a lovely views of the lake. Great forca honeymoon or engagement.

We have stayed at The Landing in summer 2019. Our stay was much different. First, they had also booked a wedding the day that we checked in. Due to lack of rooms, our first room was ground floor with a window AC unit, so you couldn’t open the windows, which was fine because it was a view of the parking lot. After going back & forth with the staff, and being able to secure another room at another resort, they changed our room. This room was better, but was not clean. I had to request several times to have housekeeping to wipe down the leather chairs (they had mystery white stuff on them) and to clean the sticky bathroom floor, I did it myself on Day #3. Also, the shower tiles were cover in pink lime scum. The resort needs some updates and a face lift for sure. When you’re charging over $5k for a week, for a room, expectations are higher. At a bare minimum the room should be clean. A last surprise on the bill was $30 parking fee per day to park my car in their parking lot. Next time we’ll choose a different property, but location is ideal and walkable.

An excellent resort hotel. It’s a very comfortable place to stay and convenient for the restaurants at Heavenly village and Harvey’s Casino. The staff were very helpful and made the stay extremely enjoyable. There’s access to the lake beach right outside, a free shuttle and bicycles (we loved cycling in the woods along the shoreline nearby and got to see a beautiful bear makings it’s way down towards the lake). We noticed a few comments about gas fires not working - the pilot light can blow out if there’s been a strong lake wind: all you need to do is ask and they’ll come and fix it straight away). The facilities are faultless and we’d recommend it to anyone). Jet Skis at the marina next door we’re fun too. Thank you to all the staff fir making it home from home during our stay and we hope you enjoy the ski season when summer and fall is over.

We recently had a below average stay at the landing resort and spa. For a room quoted at $600+/night, we expected a certain level of service which was not provided. Upon check in, no one showed us around the property or gave a tour. The resort fee included a welcome drink, which was not provided. We were not reminded of the $60 food and beverage credit we were eligible for as hotels.com silver members. The room itself was as described but the noise level was unacceptable. On both mornings, we were awoken by noise from adjacent and above rooms. The walls are very thin. At 7:00am Saturday morning, kids were screaming on the walking path next to our rooms. On Sunday morning, the conversation of the patrons in the room above us were audible at 7:30am and staff communicating on walkie talkies were audible outside our room shortly thereafter. This is not what you would hope for on your baby moon. This is not the kind of service I expect to receive if I am paying $696/night. I am still awaiting a response from the front desk for a response.

It was really nice, but they messed up, so "upgraded" us, but the room we paid for had a king bed and the room we got had 2 queens, so my husband and I couldn't sleep in the same bed and it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Also, it was unbearably hot in the room and the beds were Super hard and uncomfortable. I barely got any sleep at all. The room wasn't as clean as you would expect for a $900 per night room. The private beach was within walking distance, so that was great, and Almost all of the staff were AMAZING and super nice.

Our room was beautiful, but I wouldn’t put it up with other 5 star places that we have stayed. Would list it as 4 star. No valet service while we were there and one of our bathroom lights was broken (which we didn’t complain about, but would expect it to be taken care of without needing complaints). Food and beverage experiences were excellent.

Extremely expensive for what was offered. Paid around $1000 for 2 queen beds(3 of them for $3000) and the property was like a motel. Nothing like a resort as they claim to be. For the looks and maintenance, can reduce the price a little. Convenient veach access, not private though.

This hotel was good - I felt very safe. The bathrooms were fabulous. Heated floors. Heated toilet set. Great shower. Luxurious robes. Horrible lighting for the gals though. It’s set up almost like an outdoor multi separate apartment buildings which I don’t love for a hotel - it feels safer when all rooms are inside one building but like I mentioned I felt very safe. The views are beautiful. The beds are very comfortable. There are two types of pillows which I loved. The room service was not ideal but it did come very quickly and I appreciate that so much. The coffee machine was amazing - such good coffee. Lots of little goodies to snack on, cocktails, and wine in the room for purchase of course. Overall a great stay :)

Excellent customer service! Our room was tiny but had a patio overlooking the lake and an impressive bathroom. We had an ant situation on the day we checked out and the front desk took money worked with us on reducing our final bill. We loved the free shuttle to Heavenly, so convenient. Steps away from our semi-private beach while still close to other amenities? I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else on our next trip. Thank you!

Property itself was beautiful located closely to the beach. Staff were very nice and approachable. However, we were not notified that there would be a wedding taking place every day during our stay. Our room faced the mezzanine where bands played until 10pm, making it hard to sleep. The hotel manager waived the resort fees, however our experience was not the relaxing quiet vacation we expected.

We booked massages the day of check-in and were told we would be contacted when the room was ready. After 4pm, we decided to head to the office to find the person who we had checked-in with to find them gone for the day and nobody aware of our request. Also, there was a wedding booked that still at 9:30pm was going strong with music loud enough to feel, not to mention the terrace is not available to anyone else with the added benefit of the wedding party looking into our room if we open the drapes. The food at Jimmy's has been the only saving grace, and not to be petty, but the food credit that Expedia advertised for the room was not provided. Anyway, overall the Landing at Tahoe is a fail unless your in the wedding party. Since the hotel is quite small to host a wedding without impacting other guests, they may consider putting the wedding party in the rooms immediately adjacent to the party and let the rest of the full rate paying guests have some reprieve. We won't be back.
