Everything else was fantastic The hosts were lovely. The views outstanding. The bungalow itself was cosy and we had some lovely little extras provided for us - cheese wine and crackers / jam scones and cream and even some dog treats for the pooch.
Unfortunately we had no water. The hosts did everything they possibly could but seeing as we did a lot of walking we would probably have been having 2-3 showers a day. The neighbour kindly let us use her facilities but we felt we were taking advantage going too often and paying the price we did , we shouldn't really have had to. Bottled water was provided for everything else. It's also advertised as West Burton - it was actually Bishopdale which is far more remote and there were no walks from the doorstep. Not a major issue just meant having to drive more so than we would have liked.

The cottage was adequate and clean,i have to say the hospitality from the owners was first class.
The cottage was in the middle of nowhere.So you would have to use the car to get anywhere.When i booked i thought it was in a village called Castle Burton but that is three miles away.Nice cottage just to remote for us.
