'La Clarissa', a romantic cottage on the S.S. Amalfitana, is 800 meters from the pretty village of Minori. Attention to detail, with the large terrace projected on Marmorata Bay, it's ideal for a couple looking for a relaxing corner nestled in the beautiful Amalfi Coast. The house consists of two levels connected internally by a spiral staircase and externally by a large staircase on the terrace.
Upper level: bedroom with double bed, bathroom (WC) and balcony to the sea.
Lower level: living room with sofa bed, bathroom with shower, kitchen and terrace overlooking the sea with outdoor shower.
The house has a private parking space at 150 mt. At 50 meters from the villa there is a bus stop linking the tourist resorts of the coast (Amalfi, Ravello, Positano). From the pier of Minori boats leave connecting with daily trips, even in the evening, Positano and Amalfi

This lovely little apartment has amazing views - they more than compensate for any small inconveniences. The spiral staircase could be difficult for some. The apartment is very well equipped inside with clean and modern facilities. Mario was particularly helpful throughout our stay.

After a bit of difficulty finding this place, our fault for not using google maps! we were welcomed by the property manager who had been very patient with us attempting to locate the apartment. The apartment is as advertised. There is a spiral staircase connecting the bedroom and the main floor that is quite steep but we utilized the outside staircase to carry our bags in and out. There is noise as other reviewers have stated but we live in a large city and were not bothered by the traffic. The view from the patio and bedroom walkout is spectacular! We took advantage of both the bbq and a washing machine. Parking was off site and cost extra. We chose to leave the car parked and walked everywhere. The host provided a few items for our first breakfast which was greatly appreciated.

We enjoyed sitting on the terrace drinking coffee and wine. Mario was exceptionally helpful with arrival, check-in and activity suggestions. Mario arranged a driver to take us to various locations along the coast. This experience was very memorable. We visited in February, outside of peak tourist season so the traffic was manageable. The ten minute walk to Minori along the busy winding road was scary at times. This place is not suitable for anyone with mobility challenges. Taxi from Salerno train station costs anywhere from 75 -90 euros.

The incredible view from each and every room in this adorable villa was quite simply amazing. The tiny kitchen was so well equipped we were able to cook and enjoy the terrace for dinner and drinks and soak up the view as much as we possibly could.
The bedroom upstairs was really comfy with an ensuite loo so you didn't need to go downstairs during the night. The spiral staircase was quite steep but gave us no issues at all but if you had mobility issue this may not be the place for you.
We were able to park very close by and the manager was amazing, he sent us ideas of where to go where to eat what to see etc and responded so quickly when we contacted him. Generally he was a lovely helpful chap.
The bedroom was a little noisy in the mornings with the traffic being so very close but we were aware of this before we booked and the view and the convenience of being so close to the town made up for it. We were up early anyway to soak up as much of the view as possible!
We walked each day down into Minori and you are on the main Amalfi drive so the traffic can be a little scary but they are used to seeing pedestrians and if you take care and keep your wits about you it is absolutely fine, part of the adventure really. It takes about ten mins to walk down into town where there are many options for food and drinks and the ferry as well to explore the rest of the coast of you don't want to drive. We totally loved it and perfect for exploring the Amalfi coast from a quiet spot

This was the second time we have stayed at La Clarissa - the first was ten years ago - and again it lived up to everything we wanted. The Villa is perfect for a couple although three could work at a squeeze. Its two key features are first the wonderful south facing terrace with its views and where you can watch the comings and goings in the bay below and secondly its walkable closeness to wonderful little Minori a quintessential Italian coastal town with its restaurants, shops and welcoming atmosphere. All too often on the Amalfi Coast you can be perched in a spectacular spot that requires hundreds of steps to reach or a car/bus ride to the nearest town - not La Clarissa!
Anna the owner is very approachable and Mario the fixer is always on hand to give brilliant advice and deal with any problems. We had a car so there was extra to pay for the parking spot but it's not essential and anyway the best way to see Amalfi, Positano, Cetara, Capri and Sorrento is to go by ferry.
Finally some have mentioned the road which is right outside the front door. It is busy with lots of scooters and yes it can be a bit noisy at rush hour and the SITA buses do hoot at every opportunity but you soon get used to it and in no way does it affect your enjoyment of this unique little gem. La Clarissa awaits - if you love everything that Italy provides you won't be disappointed!

We had the most unforgettable stay...my teenage son wants to move to Ravello! The view was unbeatable, whether getting dressed in the morning, fixing a snack in the afternoon or drinking wine on the terrace at sunset....a view from every room. Chrystal clear beach and great restaurants within walking distance, bus stop across the street - the location was amazing. We visited the busier towns of Positano and Amalfi and the quieter neighbouring towns by bus and by ferry - we hiked the Path of Gods and Path of Lemons, every location was very accessible. The Property Manager and Mario were very communicative and provided exceptional service. Mario helped us out of a bind on more than one occasion , he was so doting and helpful and always with a smile on his face - the best service we received on our entire 3-week trip to Italy.

My wife and I loved staying here. Everything about our stay was amazing. Breathtaking views from the patio and such a fun city. Close to the restaurants and shopping in Minori and Mario made the check in very easy and was very helpful. This stay was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we hope to return again and stay at this amazing home.

We chose this rental for the terrace and -night and day- it didn’t disappoint. The flat was the right size for the two of us and the location - just a 10 minute walk to Minori although it has a Ravello address- made for easy treks to restaurants and stores. We did use the parking for our rental car and it was fine although not on the premises.
The spiral staircase was fun but not for those with mobility issues. We didn’t mind the closeness of the street or the traffic.
Since this was a longer stay -over two weeks- it would have been helpful to have things like trash bags, soap, etc. for a longer stay. We had to ask for trash bags and we couldn’t find the broom vacuum cleaner for about a week. Mario - the property manager- oversees over 20 properties and so sometimes it took a day for him to get back to us when we had questions.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay and -again- the view is unbeatable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5-night stay in the cottage! There is a small balcony off the upstairs bedroom with a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea!! You can lay in the bed and enjoy a postcard view when the doors are open! There is also a large terrace on the second level (you can see in the pictures) with gorgeous views. There’s a small half bath off the bedroom and a larger full bathroom downstairs. We hardly used the kitchen or the living room because we spent our time roaming through the Amalfi Coast. As others have mentioned, the bedroom is positioned so that it is right off the road. We were able to sleep fine but there is a lot of beeping of horns early in the mornings. The only issue we had was that neither air conditioner worked so it was pretty warm as we slept. Mario was a great help with arranging transportation to restaurants for us. Otherwise, we walked to town for breakfast a few mornings. We would definitely stay here again for the views alone!

What a woderful place to stay! Mario was a wonderful host, so kind and welcoming. The villa is beautiful with amazing views from the terrace and out every window. We enjoyed eating outside every day. Minori is quaint and everyone was friendly. Golf Cart Minori was fantastic with helping to get us and our luggage from the ferry to the villa. This was a trip of a lifetime! My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay. This property was exactly what the pictures showed. The views were incredible. The location was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere. It’s a short walk to Minori for dinner or drinks or to the public beach. We also walked to Almafi which took us about 45 Minutes.
Mario the man who checked us in and took care of everything we needed will forever hold a special place in our heart. He and his girlfriend Filo went above and beyond to make our stay special. They invited us for dinner at their home. It was a night to remember. Make sure you check out Bar Bambi. Micheala the owner also holds a special place in our hearts. The extra service and wonderful drinks are top notch.
Alba Cafe is a 5 min walk toward Almafi. What a treat to have a restaurant that the locals go to that is so close with amazing food and beautiful views.
The only reason I give this property 4 stars is because the wood fire grill that is pictured was not ready for use. There were no tools to make pizza or anything to start the grill.
No worries we found the best wood fire pizza at the Restaurant Giardiniello.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this property. Mario was a fantastic host and we enjoyed chatting with him and his wife Filamena over a glass of wine at a nearby cafe. The views were unbelievable, and the villa was clean, fresh, and well equipped. Others commented on the nearby road, but we honestly didn't find it much of a big deal. We would definitely recommend La Clarissa and would stay here again.

Incredible stay in paradise! The view from the terrace is spectacular and the apartment was carefully designed with a beautiful kitchen and lovely bathrooms. Our host Mario went above and beyond to help us make the most of our stay. Minori is lovely with easy access to Amalfi and The Path of the Gods not to mention excellent restaurants and cafes. As an American I found walking on the road outside the villa as cars whizzed by a bit intimidating but it's all part of the experience and it's actually very safe. A true highlight of our Italian vacation!

Stunning views and beautiful terrace to enjoy them. Very easy walk into town of Minori (6 mins) and lovely long walks both to Meiori (on the ancient lemon trail) and up partway towards Ravello via Castigliano through Atrani and to Amalfi, with a 15 minute water taxi back. Because the Villa is located very near a blind corner on the windy road, buses and cars honk often (even at night) to warn oncoming vehicles of their approach, so it’s a little noisy - but expected.

Excellent Stay and location
Beautiful little VRBO, with stunning terrace with unobstructed view of the sea. We enjoyed all our meals on the terrace.
Place was well stocked with everything needed in the kitchen, beach mats and umbrella and even a BarBQ on the terrace. The kitchen had a windo with direct access to the terrace which made it easy to move food and drinks back and forth.
Location is 5-10 minute walk to Minori, and a bus stop just down the street can take you to Amalfi or Salerno for $1.30 per person.
Only two issues that may be of concern to some people. The door to the apartment is right on the street. Somewhat common it Italy, but this might be an issue with some people. First day was odd, after that we got used to it. Second issue may be the circular stairs from bedroom to rest of unit - only an issue if you have mobility issues.
I would highly recommend this site to get the full experience of the Amalfi Coast.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for a few days in April and we enjoyed every second of our stay. Minori is such a cute little town and the walk is very easy. You just cannot beat the view from the terrace! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful property but no wifi
I stayed at La Clarissa for a week with my daughter. The view from the patio was stunning, truly beautiful! It was a 7 minute walk into the town of Minori where we bought produce and other groceries. In town we were also able to buy tickets for the bus and then get on/off the bus. This property was advertised as having WiFi. It did not work the entire time we were staying there. Someone came out to “fix” it a couple of times but it never worked. This made researching bus schedules, train schedules, and other activities very difficult and became very frustrating. If you are planning to come to the Amalfi coast to mostly just stay put, this is the place for you, but don’t plan on using wifi here.

What a great place for 2 people to stay - a view from the balcony you will never tire of. Ten minute walk to Minori to get wine and steak for an evening bbq. Private terrace with no properties between you and the sea - it is exactly as in the photos - we will definitely return.

Woning in goede staat, enigszins verouderd sanitair. Slaapkamer op bovenverdieping, kleine woonkaamer en keuken beneden. Alles voorzien van airco. Groot terras met voldoende meubilair en bbq. Gastvrije en hulpvaardige ontvangst door Antonio. Snel en makkelijke communicatie. Ligt aan drukke weg maar geeft geen overlast. 10 minuten lopen naar Minori centrum. We hebben genoten!

Lovely week
Everything was very nice. The property manager has several units in the area and was responsive to our needs. Note to those looking here, the front door opens onto the busy Amalfi Coast road. Literally one step into the street. The street can be very busy. Also, the spiral staircase is not well suited to bigger people. If you sleep three, then one person goes to the lower level and the staircase does not have a door so limited privacy. That being said, the space was great and the price was right. Short walk into town and did I say great views!!! The earlier comments addressed some issues. They have been nicely corrected. I would recommend this place and the people who own and manage it for sure.

Outstanding Property
We had the most wonderful time at La Clarissa. The accommodations were perfect for the two of us. The balcony is absolutely fabulous. Traveling from a foreign country the service was excellent. Mr Franco was there to meet us and help us get settled in and he also had great recommendations for activities during our stay. We didn't want to leave and that is always and good indication of the quality of the accommodation. We would definitely return to La Clarrisa.

Beautiful view, adorable little villa and walking distance to town!
We are celebrating our fifth year anniversary since we got married! Everything was perfect at this rental, we wish we could have stayed for the remainder of our time in Italy at this little villa. We fell in love with the town of Minori, its sunsets, and local food that is within walking distance. The owner and management were very helpful and we appreciate how quickly they responded to us and made sure that we were comfortable. We're going to tell all of our friends to stay here! If we come back to Italy again, we'll stay here again for sure!

atention to detal and clenlinessl is needed here. hair and dirty shower mat found in a gruby shower we had to clean before we could use, the fridge dose not work propely and needs replacing, rusty table and chaires on balconey, out side shower well didnot even botther with it . washing machine wont spin .great veiw could be a realy nice place with a little more care and attention noisy road but would not let it put me off staying again if a bit more care was taken with the appartment its self

La Clarissa is beautiful! My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon there.
The terrace has a heavenly view and a heated outdoor shower which was amazing.
It is located in the small but beautiful town of Minori which has nice beaches and cute restaurants.
Franco (our greeter) was very nice and helpful with suggestions and answered all our questions.
I would recommend this villa to anyone and would definitely book again!!

Great place, great View
Spend 3 nights at Revello Amalfi. We had a great stay there as the room are clean and kitchen are well equipped with every thing you need. We enjoyed the terrace alot overlooking the sea while it is reasonably priced. The toilet mayb a little small but still acceptable. Will come back again should we visit amalfi.

Cosy place with stunning views from lovely terrace
Just returned from a wonderful 1-week stay at La Clarissa.
Although it was already November, the weather was just perfect during the day (in the morning and at night it could be a bit nippy) so I regularly lounged on the fantastic private terrace overlooking the sea, and ate out most of the time.
The house is spotless, cosy, and tastefully decorated, and in spite of its small size (ideal for 1 or 2 people), it has a perfect layout. Although close to the main road, and some honking during the day, the noise factor was not really an issue.
The house is conveniently located, with Minori at walking distance. To visit other towns (Atrani, Amalfi, Praiano, Positano, Ravello: all very worthwhile!), the bus stop is just around the corner.

Mia moglie ed io ci siamo trovati molto bene alla Clarissa. La descrizione fornita dalla gentilissima proprietaria è assolutamente conforme alla realtà. La vista che si gode da ogni stanza è meravigliosa. Godere della terrazza a picco sullla baia di Marmorata è una esperienza da non perdere. L'appartamento è attrezzato anche con qualche genere alimentare di prima necessità e di detersivo. In ogni caso nel paese di Minori, che si trova a pochi minuti a piedi, si può tranquillamente fare la spesa e trovare bar e ristoranti dove gustare le specialità della costiera. Consigliamo a tutti coloro che amano la tranquillità e la bellezza della natura di soggiornare alla Clarissa.

Our Stay in July
We stayed at Anna's rental apartment from July 9th to 14th and enjoyed ourselves. Franco was our main contact there, and he was excellent. Very nice person, and very helpful. The apartment location is great, only 10 mins from Minori and the beach, and the view is spectacular. We loved the very large porch with deck chairs and outdoor shower. Our only real issue was traffic noise, as it was a bit noisier than we would have liked. The apartment layout is great, and it had many ammenities that made our stay enjoyable. It would have been great to have wireless internet access, which is a must when I travel, but it is not offered at Anna's. Franco did tell me they are working on getting it. Overall, we would recommend a stay there.

paradise is real!
unfortunately, we recently returned from la clarissa in amalfi. it is unfortunate ONLY in the sense that we absolutely did not want to leave. this was truly the most exquisite place we've ever had the opportunity to stay; and we are SO glad we chose to stay here instead of a hotel. the view from la clarissa is indescribable. its convenience to all the enjoyment the Amalfi Coast offered us the opportunity to either relax on the divine balcony of La CLarissa all day and watch the fishermen go by, OR take a few steps into city center to be a part of a happy town, filled with warm people and lovely restaurants.
Upon our arrival, Anna and Franco were above-and-beyond accommodating in helping us get settled. the house was spotless, and provided all the amenities of home.
anna, the owner, was spectacular in her communication. from detailed directions to advice on fun activities, she is an excellent hostess.
i look forward to once again returning to la clarissa. it truly provided the most outstanding holiday we have ever had.
