The Penthouse San Matteo is located in the heart of the historic center of Palermo just a 5-minute walk from the "four corners" or the intersection of two main streets of Palermo, Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Maqueda, which rise beautiful buildings of 700 '.
A few meters from the entrance of the structure there are monuments, markets, museums that animate the historic center of Palermo, among the most famous fountain of Piazza Pretoria, the Vucciria market, Palermo's Cathedral. All perfectly connected.
The apartment consists of a spacious living room with modern kitchen fully equipped with every convenience.

We are an older couple and loved this apartment! It is in the heart of the historic centre within easy walking distance of everything : historic buildings, cafes, restaurants, etc. The apartment is on the top floor in a newer building. The patio gives amazing views ! ! ! And it is very quiet at night. 👍 👍

A lovely apartment - very clean and comfortable. In the perfect location to visit Palermo - centrally located in the pedestrian zone made for easy walking to all the well known sights. We enjoyed our 4 night stay at Penthouse San Matteo. It is very centrally located, quiet and had a nice view. The unit was spartan but clean. The shower was a little on the small side but the hot water was ample and the pressure was good. The kitchen lacked a microwave but did have a toaster oven. There was not a proper kettle but the hot pot was just big enough to make two cups of tea at a time. It could also use a decent frying pan. We appreciated the management holding out bags in the office the last day between check-out and our departure. Overall, for the price, the unit was good. I'm not sure what the 35 euro additional fee to HomeAway did for us but we appreciated the location of unit enough to overlook it.

The apartment was very practical with a terrace and some view on Palermo. It was in a perfect location and our host was present as soon as we arrived. Good communication. Highly recommend for a couple who wants to spend a few days in Palermo.

Staff was very helpful, place clean, bed excellent, kitchen fine for light cooking, too small for anything fancy but fine for breakfast and lunch. Location near Quattro Canti was excellent. Near many important sites. We were very happy with our stay there. Check in process could be improved....All in alll very good.

We spent a weekend in Penthouse San Matteo and our only regret was we didn't have more time. The apartment was clean and bright. Everything felt new. The bathroom was updated and efficient. The bedroom was comfortable with a balcony and a great bed. The balcony off the living area was furnished with a table and chairs and was very comfortable for enjoying some sun and relaxation. Penthouse San Matteo is in the heart of Palermo. You can easily reach all the sights by foot. Next time I'm in Palermo I will definitely stay here and for more than 2 nights.

The only complaint I have is the apartment is advertised as 2 bedrooms when it actually only has 1. The other room is the living area with a sofa bed. This is misleading information. The apartment is central for exploring Palermo which was the best part.

Location perfect, host perfect, apartment spotless and everything worked! We couldn't have been happier with our stay in Palermo. The apartment is spacious and absolutely quiet - you have no idea that you're in a noisy bustling city. Cafe across the street is open at 630AM every day and they are very friendly and accommodating - they will know your order after a couple of days. Location of the apartment is as central as can be for site seeing with dozens of restaurants of every kind within a short walk. And Palermo surpassed all of our expectations - this city has a lot to offer.

Great property, fabulous, central location, but where the apartment is situated in the building, it was so peaceful and quiet. Really enjoyed sitting out on the large terrace in the evenings. This property was very clean, with excellent amenities, and very well presented. And having a washing machine was a real bonus. Also provided was information about shopping, taxi service, restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Easy walk to central train station. From my very first contact in regard to this booking, everything was handled professionally and promptly, and the host Bernardo and his family were ever so helpful and happy to assist with any query we had. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It was extremely relaxing, and we felt very welcome and comfortable in this apartment. It is also located in a very interesting street with some lovely shops, cafes, restaurants, and a number of beautiful historic landmarks. Loved the apartment, and Palermo.

I spent a week in Palermo and the property was perfectly located for exploring this amazing city. The apartment was clean and had plenty of room. I appreciated the outdoor deck for morning coffee and afternoon relaxing. At night there was silence, no problems with any street noise at all. Note, if renting a car, make sure it is not too large, the alleyway to gain access to the parking garage is very, very narrow!

A lovely small apartment in the center of the city with a nice, very responsive, helpful host. The outside of the building is a little grim, but the apartment is clean, pretty, well appointed, and efficiently designed. There is a terrace that faces away from the main street, so it's quiet, and it has nice view of a church tower and old buildings. The listing says it is a two-bedroom apartment: it is not--there is one bedroom and a sleep sofa in the living area. The location is perfect for sight-seeing.

Lovely apartment, right in the Main Street of the old city. Hosts are very helpful and available if you needed anything during your stay. Great view from the outdoor verandah of the church and old city.

A really great apartment well furnished. Helpful owner. The location is smack in the middle of town but not noisy. Great choice of shops and restaurants nearby with a nice cafe right opposite the building for breakfast, eat in or take back to the apartment. Parking is available in the basement at extra cost but getting out of town in Palermo traffic is not for the feint hearted.

Fabulous Location. Wonderful apartment overlooking San Matteo!

This apartment is exactly as the pictures show. It has enough cookery to make a nice breakfast or lunch. It is in walking distance to all the sights (minus Mondello and Monreal). We had a fabulous time visiting all the markets, doing a Streaty Food tour, visiting the Cathedral and other churches, wandering the streets at night and dining on fresh seafood. The apartment was a welcome to come home to each evening, relaxing with a glass of wine. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Palermo. Bernardo and Andreas were very helpful!
