Superb

The room was spacious. All areas of the hotel were clean. Excellent location. Attentive staff. Lots of facilities for children.

The bed was uncomfortable. The drinks service at mealtimes wasn't the best. You would be provided with one drink, but nobody told us you'd need to go collect your own or ask someone for another if you wanted more than the first one.

An ideal resort for families with young children, wonderful food and pool.

So much choice at the buffet for all meals. Good quality products and Greek options. The pool with slides was ideal for our toddler. The room and view were great, so handy to have a partition so our son wouldn’t be woken by our baby. The location a few minutes walk from the little marina in Sissi. There’s no beach here but kids can easily access a shallow rock pool for paddling.

There was one à la carte meal included with our stay. Although we booked this on our second day, the Italian restaurant was already unavailable for our entire stay, and so we reserved the Greek one. The meal here was quite disappointing: limited choice and very similar to the buffet options, and the lamb was fatty. As we were with our baby and toddler it would’ve been great if the main restaurant opened for dinner a bit earlier (it opens at 7pm) Kids club is only available from 4 years+ It would’ve been great to have some activities for little ones, with parents accompanying. The playground needs some work, especially the flooring which is uneven and can cause kids to trip over. Cleaning was generally good (floors, beds, bins) but the bathroom sink was not touched during the week’s stay… I ended up cleaning it myself.

Exceptional

All of aspects of the hotel are great! Location is such superior that it's within only several minutes of walking distance to the beach. Most rooms get (part) sea view I believe. Nice food and wine, staff there are kind, approchable and considerate. Thumbs up for its eco-friendly ideas and facilities. Amazing experiences there!

Not sure if there's problem with soundproofing, seems that there's one day out of my six days of stay I was forced to wake up by a neighbor room, perhaps only because the high dB noise people made...

the property is large. food excellent nice choice very tasty. rooms clean staff very friendly and helpful.

I think more attention to the pool cleaning in private pools is needed. green algae on arrival but after seeing reception twice this was dealt with swiftly

Fantastic Resort!

Beautiful resort with lots of activites which are seperate if you just want to relax too. Very friendly staff and well priced.

Food was good and in no short supply! Personally I would've appreciated a bit more authentic Greek food on the buffet but the variety caters for all so can't complain.

We highly recommend the Vasia hotel & Spa

We highly recommend the Vasia hotel & Spa, we stayed for three nights and had a fabulous time. The staff was outstanding! Helpful, generous and warm. We arrived late in the evening and we’re upgraded to a marvelous room. On our last day we were able to do a late checkout, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The swimming pool was perfect and the local beach just a couple minutes walk. The town itself is smaller and less crowded than other places in Crete ( a plus for us) with plenty of restaurants and bars. We hope to return soon!

Very good

I enjoyed the staff of the hotel and the cleanliness as well as the quietness of the area.

We took a two-story family suite and the stairs of the room were extremely cramped and uncomfortable to go up, and they did not appear in any picture of the room nor the hotel. The hotel was fully booked and they did not have any other room for us. The air conditioner of the first floor barely worked, only on rare occasions. The person who was supposed to fix it did fix it for the first day, but the issue kept repeating itself. We complained again and they turned off the sensors, making the air conditioner work 24/7, and that's the only way it worked. Another warning that is not related to the hotel itself, right next to the hotel, there was a supermarket (and the shopping centre, which are connected) , the blonde curly haired woman at the checkout was yelling at the costumers and generally was extremely mean. I would recommend going to the other supermarket nearby, the service is much better and the prices are cheaper, and it's not that far.

We had a lovely time but this is a 3.5-4 star hotel, not 5!!

The fresh fruit provided in the restaurant was excellent. Staff were friendly, and Julian and Katerina were particularly wonderful. We had a 2 storey room with a private pool which we couldn't recommend enough. Lots of room for our family of 5! The manager on reception was very friendly and went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. We would recommend the local beach cove and Sissi village is sweet.

The hotel is definitely more 3.5-4 star, not 5. The general decor of the hotel and grounds is tired. The entertainment is "ok" but the kids club is quite poor, and the kids club staff not particularly engaging. The buffet restaurant food is "ok" but the same every day. There are only two a la carte restaurants and they serve the same food as the buffet restaurant but on a larger scale!! The all inclusive alcohol is poor. The table knives are really blunt, not even sharp enough to cut meat!!

Lovely relaxing break, private pool was amazing.

Lovely room and fantastic private pool. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, good coffee, omelettes, pancakes a huge selection. Quiet room.

Pool had algae in so swimming costume went green! some cockroaches in room when we came back in the evenings from dinner. Remember to take insect repellant - lots of mosquitos!

THIS IS NOT A 5 STARS HOTEL!!! OVERPRICED! 170€ per night for a simple room that should cost maximum 50€ per night… Theres not enough parking place and there’s no access to the beach from the hotel (you have to walk far or take car). Not possible to have breakfast outside before 9h!! not possible to use the swimming pool after 19h.. Wellness paid separately and very expensive despite the high price charged for the room. Honestly.. waste of money. I don’t recommend this place. For this price you can find MUCH BETTER in Crete.

Exceptional

The place is beautiful, located near the nice center of Sisi. We were treated with planty of care by lovely Elza that did not stop surprising us and upgrating our stay. The place is clean comfortable and is ideal for resting and enjoing the weather

We had in mind more traditional greek food... any way we enjoyed the veraiety of dishes, salads, fruits and drinks.

Needs work and not worth the money

The food and staff were brilliant. Could not knock anything to do with that.

Our hotel room was falling apart, the Aircon wasn't working properly then the sink was not attached to the side and that bed frame was broken. The bed frame and the sink were sorted by a handyman but you can see where they'd fixed it once already and just did a make do job.

Good value for money

Clean and spacious room with sea view on a large resort with several bars and swimming pools. Everywhere was kept very clean and Covid safe. We enjoyed walking down to Sissi harbour for cocktails in the evening. The breakfasts were very good with good selection of food and drink. The staff were very efficient, attentive and friendly.

We were personally disappointed by the food at dinner - often it was barely warm and poor quality - so ate out often even though we had an all inclusive package. Overall though we were happy with our stay as we felt we got value for money despite the issues with the food.

I think 5 stars hotel should have better mattresses, I slept on the twin bed and it was too much soft. Stairway to second floor in the suite was very tight and narrow Besides that Superb hotel

Very good

The facilities were overall very good, especially the swimming pools. Perfect place to relax. The outside dining area was also very enjoyable. Also great location if you want to travel around in the region.

The main weakness was the quality of the food (perhaps a common issue with All Inclusive packages). The buffet would benefit enormously from offering local Greek/Cretan fresh products. Many food items were (very) overly salted. Cocktails were subpar. This is in part excused by the affordability of the AI package but we were a bit disappointed.

Fantastic hotel

The friendliness and helpfulness of ALL the staff not just one or 2. The choice of food, and amount of swimming pools and facilities.

Nothing much bad to say. The map of the resort could have been slightly more detailed and the evening entertainment could have been communicated a bit more, but these are minor things.
