This rental had everything with just the right amount of space for our family of 4. Eric was very attentive and responsive, getting back to us within no time. The check-in process was a piece of cake. Nothing beats a kitchen to eat breakfast and pack lunches before heading out to snorkel for a few hours. Bahia Honda is a our favorite, and a short distance away from the rental. We enjoyed daily naps in the comfortable beds. It was very hot outside in the summer, and the AC worked very well. We especially loved the back patio area on the water. We enjoyed morning cups of coffee and evening BBQs. The resort was nice too, we just spent more time out and about. Overall a great experience with a wonderful host. We will be back!

The house is in the perfect central location to everything! You can bring your boat, fish, clean and cook your catch right in your back yard. We had a wonderful time and left wanting more! The owner is awesome! Thank you for the wonderful memories and we will be back!

1st of all..communication...perfect...he contacted me prior to coming down. Lwt me know when the unit was available..which was hours earlier than posted!! The place..well, we have been to venture out probably 5 times, and all places there that we have seen are beautiful. But this place ..the best...super clean, great location, right on the canal! Everything was as expected, and more! Definitely going to stay at his place again!!!

Very well appointed with high end appliances, nice grill and massive TV. Lots of fishing friendly amenities - bait freezer, fish cleaning table, etc. Host was super responsive to questions and requests. Our best experience at Venture Out and we've rented several other units. Great complex pool, hot tub, tennis and pickle ball courts. Convenient for day trips to Key West.

Couldn't be happier with our stay! Our family of 5 including 3 teens had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We cooked several meals at the house and everything we needed was there. The Weber grill was awesome! We also used several of the amenities the resort offered especially the pool.(walking distance) Communication with owner was great and quick. This is our second time staying at VO but first time staying at this particular property. We looked at several properties and I think for the price you cant find a better place. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

We had an absolute blast at this perfect spot! Eric the owner answered any questions promptly and helped guide us with boat/trailer parking. The house was newly remodeled and I could not have asked for a better experience. We sat on the water at night and enjoyed the view which was our favorite part of the house. The only negative was that we had to leave and couldn’t stay longer! Thank you for a great relaxing vacay!!

This was our first time to the Keys and the this place was comfy and welcoming. Amenities were great and close to several beaches and great food. Coffee on the back patio in the mornings was the best! Eric the host was great as well, always quick to respond to any questions and was informative about things around us, restaurants, market, etc. Definitely will seek this place out first on our next visit!

We had a good experience staying at this property. The location was very good - between Key West and Marathon Key. Outdoor deck was very nice. Kitchen was well equipped- we cooked at home on several nights. Close to beaches and restaurants and grocery store. You do pay a fee at check-in to use the amenities available, which we did not take advantage of during our stay. Overall, we had a great time. Communication was excellent.

We stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed the community, house and the view the whole time. Special kudos to the great grill, we made restaurant level stakes on it with winn dixis meat from nearby store.

Served our needs well, great interactive host. Location is perfect for area and easy ocean access from dock. Be very aware Venture Out is seperate entity from owners and can be rather stiff with their rules and expectations. Husband received written "warning" because one tire was off pavers. Entry fee at gate was $165.00

The house has the perfect beach feel- you really feel like you are waking up in the keys. Very clean and great location but what made our stay extraordinary was the host Eric. He responded to every text or call immediately and was always more than helpful. The community was nice and all the neighbors were very friendly. We plan to come back here every year for our anniversary. We have stayed in many rental properties and this was by far one of our favorites. Thank you Eric for hosting such an awesome place! If you are thinking of booking, just do it you won’t regret it!

If you are a fisherman or just visiting the keys, this is a wonderful place to stay. Everything looked recently updated and the house had everything we needed. We really appreciated the newly updated back dock area and wished we had our own boat to enjoy it even more. Would definitely stay here again.

Place is spacious enough for 2 people, maybe a kid or two. Best for people who are interested in fishing or have a boat. We visited family on Big Pine and like the location. For a longer stay we recommend more free storage room usable for the renting party. What's really missing is a comfy lounge chair or two!

The house was clean and had all the basic kitchen necessities. The house is located at the end of a canal so there can be a lot of seaweed built up. The Venture Out community has plenty of nice amenities like a pool, basket ball and tennis courts that are a golf cart ride away. There is also a community store that has all the basics which comes in handy when things are a long drive away. Overall, would definitely come back again.

Great location with long access (40 minutes by sailboat) to Atlantic side of keys from Key West to Marathon. Nice amenities at pool and various sport courts. Lots of great outdoor dining within 10 minutes drive.

First off got charged 120 just to get into the gated community where the house was not expecting that added expense. Late at night was tired then had a hard time finding the location not very good lighting .Then when we got inside finally it was Not clean , roaches, then while trying to clean up stepped on a half a nail that went in my foot .And yes it only got worse . This home should disclose there are roaches i would have never went if I knew this ahead of time . Very disappointed

Bad cockroach problem. Every night we came home, the kitchen sink was covered with small ones. Very large ones were in the living room and bedrooms. This property is not finished being remodeled. The shower doesn't drain properly. We were given the WiFi password but not the network name so we had to guess. No closing/leaving instructions were provided. I see the hidden facility fee is now mentioned up front, but it wasn't when we booked. It is a good location and less money than any Key south of it. The community pool and hot tub were nice, but we would not stay here again.

We rented this little cottage from Eric and we're not disappointed. He was very responsive to any questions we had and helpful. The home is as described and perfect for two people. Location is nice, Venture Out has everything you could want to do on a Keys vacation.

The property was in a central location, the community was pleasant, and the host left two bottles of wine on the kitchen table that we believe were for us even though we didn't open them. The cabinets and the fridge were mostly full of the host's food, our family of 5 needed more than the minimal available space in the fridge, it seemed like the host just left the home the way it was when they are living there. We also faced a shower that wouldn't drain immediately after our arrival when our first child showered for a few minutes before bed. The host said they would send someone to fix it, but no one showed up during our stay. I worked on the drain for a while with minor improvements over several days, not the way you want to spend time on a vacation. Also, there were no instructions for anything: the WiFi, the trash, the pleasantly modern combined washer/dryer unit. We had to call the community security guards about the trash process, look up instructions to wash our clothes online, and reach out to the host about the WiFi password that we received on day 3 of our stay, not a huge deal, but this information is standard for the dozens of rentals we have used in the past. We also weren't made aware that the property address we received was the address of the entire larger community, the actual lot location we had to figure out at 11PM from the online pictures and the contact name from a security guard that has worked there for years, the host didn't respond to my late night message or the security guard phone call when we needed this info at 11PM. This basic information was not supplied by the host and we had no idea where the property was located, it should have been provided before we arrived. There was also a surprise fee to enter the property by the security guards, it added 20% to our total rate, but the property owner never made us aware through the listing. This is also against VRBO policy and we were required to pay it to enter, it felt like extortion so my kids would have a place to sleep at 11PM. Several parts of the home were under construction and each room of the property had exposed wires. The setting was nice, but I would not recommend staying at this specific property, save yourself from a stressful vacation and an inexperienced host. There are always going to be issues that arise during a stay, but there were too many issues that should have easily been avoided and it made for a stressful trip.
