About this house rental
Welcome to Big Blue #116, a Landmark Vacation Rentals home! From the moment you cross the bridge onto Topsail Island you’ll notice Big Blue on the water ready to welcome you to the vacation of a lifetime! The grandest house on Topsail Island, Big Blue has it ALL and is your own private, mini-resort for your next blow out intergenerational family vacation, reunion, wedding, church retreat, corporate outing, or guys or girls trip! Featuring a private in-house full screen movie theater with stadium seating, pool table, two private salt water pools, multiple oceanfront decks with ample seating, built-in gas grill, and plenty of space to gather for meals and family time on the top floor! Another great feature of Big Blue is the elevator which stops at all floors and comes in handy for guests with mobility issues or for bringing in your luggage and groceries.
You will never run out of things to do at Big Blue. Located right on the ocean, you will have a private beach access right from the house down to the beautiful sandy beach of Topsail Island. After a fun day on the beach, clean up is easy with the outdoor shower. You can soak up the sun on one of the many decks or cool off with a dip in one of two salt water pools located on the oceanfront deck. If you need a break from the sun, you can enjoy a fun game of pool down in the game room or watch your favorite movie in the private, in-home movie theater with seating for 18! This main level theater/game room area is equipped with an additional refrigerator, wet bar, and half bathroom.
This home has 10 bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom and TV. Eight of the ten bedrooms feature a king-sized bed. One bedroom has four twin bunkbeds that can sleep 8 comfortably, and the other bedroom has one twin bunk bed and a twin bed with twin trundle underneath which sleeps a total of 4! The middle floor features 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, and the top floor has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, as well as a massive kitchen and living room. The kitchen features a huge island, double ovens, large refrigerator, two coffee pots (a Keurig and a drip coffee pot), beverage fridge, and ice maker! Everyone can enjoy meals together with ample room for seating at the island or the two large tables in the dining area. This floor also has a comfortable family room with multiple large sofas, huge TV, and fireplace. Big Blue is located in the heart of Surf City, so you are within walking distance to the Surf City Pier and many local restaurants, coffee houses, bars, and gift shops. There is absolutely something for everyone at this spectacular mini-resort!

Please note: Special Events are allowed, please contact Landmark Vacation Rentals to inquire about a special event and pricing. Guests may park up to 3 vehicles in the spacious 3-car garage and the driveway can accommodate 3 more vehicles. We're sorry, but pets are not allowed at this home. Smoking is also prohibited inside. There is no landline telephone in this home. This home is equipped with a keyless door lock and guests will be emailed and texted their unique door code prior to their check-in.
Provided With Your Stay: Bath Towels, Hand Towels and Washcloths, Bath Mats, and Kitchen Linens are provided. The 8 king beds will be made upon your arrival and sheets will be placed on the twin beds but not made. A First Night Amenity Kit which includes: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Trash Bags and More will be waiting for you! The private pool can be heated for an additional fee in April, May, September, and October.
The online calendar allows for bookings 16 months in advance but guests are also welcome to call Landmark Vacation Rentals to reserve up to 24 months in advance. You will never run out of things to do at Big Blue. Located right on the ocean, you will have a private beach access right from the house down to the beautiful sandy beach of Topsail Island. Great location and accommodations for our group — three generations ages 12-85 yrs and 7 families. There was plenty of space for gathering and cooking meals. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. The theater room worked out great, not only for watching movies but also for yoga and work outs. We loved the proximity to the beach, shops, and restaurants. This was our first visit to Top Sail Island, and it worked out great for everyone traveling in from different locations (California, Colorado, and Virginia).

Our entire family had the blessing of sharing one home under one roof for an entire week! So many memories were made during our time at Big Blue. Our family has been taking an annual beach trip every year for at least 18 years. As our family grows, our beach house gets bigger! Big Blue was the best house so far....loved the extra features of the two pools, the pool table, and the amazing theater. We had more than enough room to accommodate everyone. The kitchen and family room was where we all got together for meals and family time. I honestly got lost in the house several many bedrooms and hallways! Was wonderful for all the grandchildren (11 that are all 6 and under...with a 12th on the way!) to "do life" together with all the cousins, aunts, uncles, Grandpa, and JoJo. We don't have one negative thing to share here. We will reserve this home as often as we can for our annual family beach vacation. Landmark Realty was terrific to work with before and during our Topsail Beach stay. *Thanks for the memories*

We had 14 adults and 4 kids stay at this house. We loved the house set up and the pool table and movie theater were great for all. The location was within walking distance of many restaurants and the view was just incredible. Guests are already talking about rebooking Big Blue in the future.
A sentimental stuffed animal was left behind, but the cleaning company found it and it is being mailed to us.
We had an excellent time. I highly recommended Big Blue.

Awesome house. The theatre room got lots of use by our group. It was too cold for the pools, but the hot tub was nice. I loved the layout - 10 bedrooms - all with their own bathroom!
Right on the beach. Alena the property manager was very helpful and helped us arrange for a mid week cleaning as friends left and family arrived for turkey day.

Big Blue is in the perfect location (beach, parking, shopping, dining). The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep for large groups a breeze. Big plus for our group is bathroom in every bedroom. We had a wonderful time at our first stay at Surf City. The location , beach wise, is hard to beat! There is a very loud live music place ( Scallywags) that faces the garage side bedrooms that plays music till 11, which made it hard for little children in our party to sleep. The elevator was not functioning but rental group addressed that with us appropriately. Its a great house full of amenities that we all enjoyed and a perfect place for large families . Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need . Pricing is very fair compared to other beaches we have been to . Wd had a great time .Note: Be very careful with all railing areas with small children , some of them are loose and house definitely needs some repair with those areas .

This is our second time staying at Big Blue. If you like to be close to restaurants, grocery stores and all the excitement you’ll love it here. The house is perfect for our family although the family room area is quite small for the number of people. But we don’t spend much time inside so it’s sure not a deal breaker. The beds were super comfortable and there were lots of pillows! It’s nice to have the linens and towels all there for us as our family traveled from all over the country to gather. There’s a neat bar right across the street if you like the nightlife. However they do have live music until 11 or so on the weekends which may keep you from sleeping. Landmark responded quickly to all our requests. I would highly recommend this place for your large family gatherings!
