About this cabin rental

The Homer Seaplane Base is located right on Beluga Lake in the Heart of Homer. Offering six cabins, and four suites, we provide guests the unique opportunity to stay at a fully functioning seaplane base. Guests are encouraged to visit our on-site restaurant, " Water Rudders,” which offers a wide selection of beer, wine, and delicious fare. Guests looking for a bit of adventure should contact our partner Beryl Air, located on-site, just steps away from your front door.

Please feel free to contact us by messaging, text, phone, or email. If you need anything, we are happy to help. Should you need assistance in person, you are welcome to stop by the Beryl Air Office (located on-site) during regular operating hours.

The Homer Seaplane Base is the perfect home base for your Homer adventure and beyond. Located right off Ocean Drive, we are situated between the famous Homer Spit and downtown. Close to fishing tours, floatplane adventures, restaurants, shopping, groceries, and more. While on-site, please feel free to visit Water Rudders, our on-site restaurant where you can expect delicious food and a great selection of beer and wine. Beryl Air, our local floatplane partner, is also on-site and available for all your adventure needs.

The cabin is private and entirely yours during your stay. You will check yourself in using our keyless entry keypad located on the front door of the cabin. Please note you must use stairs to access the entrance of the cabin. You will also use stairs to access the common areas around the property. Parking is available in our dedicated gravel lot. We encourage guests to park at the top of the lot near the road. However, we ask that you do not block the dumpster. The Alderwood cabin is the blue cabin located at the top of the complex on the far west side of the property. There is a sign near the front door that indicates "Alderwood Cabin".

Our Alderwood Cabin offers a queen-size bed in the main bedroom, a queen-size bed in the secondary bedroom, and a sofa sleeper in the living room, providing accommodations for up to 6 guests. The cabin is equipped with two bathrooms. The guest bath features a shower/tub combo, and the ensuite bath is furnished with a walk-in shower. The cabin also offers a spacious open kitchen including island seating, a stove-top with oven, residential fridge, 12-cup drip coffee maker, dishwasher, and basic cooking essentials. Guests will also enjoy the residential washer and dryer located in the dedicated laundry room.

The Homer Seaplane Base is conveniently located between the Homer Spit and downtown. Homer is accessible by car, plane, or boat—a popular destination for cruisers, aviation enthusiasts, RV’ers, and landlubbers. Homer offers a variety of transportation options, including rental car facilities, taxi service, and of course, fat bikes. The Homer Airport is located within two miles of the seaplane base, and you will be close to all dining, shopping, and tours.

The Homer Seaplane Base is a fully functioning seaplane base and facilitates lodging accommodations, a restaurant, an event space, and floatplane tours. We have multiple units located at the seaplane base, and you are welcome to use any of the designated common areas on the property. Keep in mind amenities such as the fire pit, onsite restaurant, and floatplane tours operate seasonally.

We have been to Homer many times, and this is absolutely the best place we have ever stayed! Location, cute cabins, view of the lake and seaplanes, taking off, restaurant, and getting a discount to take a seaplane ride made this the perfect location!

Location could not have been better. Property was fabulous and really enjoyed our time there…would book again! Enjoyed seeing wild moose and brown bear fly in and guys loved fishing and The Salty Dog!

The house was brand new with a great secluded location for being in town. The kids enjoyed the planes and the docks and the tickled pear next door is amazing. I was a little disappointed in the lack of towels, cheap bedding and bedroom furniture. The beds could use some improvements as well. For the price I feel corners were cut on amenities, just needs more utensils, towels and higher quality things like paper towels, bed frames, mattresses and toilet paper. Overall we had a great time though.
