Excellent location to jump into central London.

Located in a quiet residential area, a few minutes walk from public transport to central London via the DLR or river boat. The room was large and comfortable for the four of us (incidentally, we were contacted during our stay and as the only tenants, we were very kindly offered an extra room to spread out, we did not take the offer but it was a very nice gesture). The kitchen seemed to be well equipped, as we were out the entire time we did not use it as we intended. Greenwich and the Cutty Sark is only a 17 min walk away. For a stopover in London whilst travelling to France the location was ideal.

Parking was off road but could not be guaranteed, even though we were the only occupants. For peace of mind, we opted to reserve one of the available parking spots nearby at extra cost. Upon arrival parking was available, I would have rather reserved and paid The Rainbow Rooms for the parking.

Un poco ajustado aunque limpio

Es una casa remodelada que está a 7 minutos a pie de la parada de metro de Island Gardens . Está todo limpio . El vecindario es tranquilo .

No me gusta que no haya nadie para recibirte. No me abrió la puerta con el código dos días seguidos y la segunda tuve que llamar para saber cómo entrar . En las habitaciones se oye todo de la otra habitación, que también hay gente que no se da cuenta de que no está solo . Al ser una casa antigua hacen ruido las maderas al caminar .

Cumplía con lo justo

La habitación y la comodidad de la cama

El baño apenas cumplía con sus funciones básicas con sus respectivos accesorios. No nos dieron ni papel higiénico, gel de ducha, ni champú. Se fue la luz un par de veces al conectar la máquina de afeitar y no había ningún adaptador usb tal y como indicaban las fotos de Booking. Tampoco funcionaba la placa de la cocina y no pudimos cocinar nada.

Good location, good price.

It was the second time I’ve stayed here. I have enjoyed the first one but not the second. Last time the it was more clean, especially the floor in the room and the stairs in the hall were not that good this time. The shampoo and shower gel bottles were almost empty. And to have no curtain in the bathroom was very strange!!!

Beautiful and quiet stay around Christmas time, host was very helpful and instructions were really clear and straightfor

Perfect location with parking for those who like to go round london with both driving and under ground. The place is clean and quiet.

Very poor standard

Location and car parking on driveway.

Property wasn't clean. Noise from other guests was very bad, we had 2 hours sleep Friday night. We spoke to the other guests and asked politely to reduce the noise but alas they did not. It was a little better on Saturday night. We were awakened at midnight, 2,20am and 4.40 am. The property in my opinion is not suitable for guests due to several issues. 1) No hot water. 2) Noise levels. Sorry to complain but it really was horrific. The bed was not particularly comfortable ahd had cheap ill fitting linen. The property floor could do with a good hoover. Also we were given the wrong entry code, this was rectified after a few phone calls. The tv had limited channels even on Freeview, it was very complicated to use.

London For Christmas

Está muy bien conectado con el centro, se tarda unos 25 minutos en total, entre que coges el metro o el autobús. Mi recomendación es que si os quedáis aquí cojáis el 277 hasta Canary Wharf, y en Canary Wharf la línea gris: Jubilee. También me facilitaron hacer el check-in antes ya que llegué muy pronto y el check-in es a las 15.00. La cama te atrapa y no te suelta, es con diferencia la cama mas cómoda en la que he dormido.

No soy muy partidaria de los códigos para acceder a un lugar, porque pasa algo y no funciona por lo que sea, y llegas a las 10 y pico (por poner un ejemplo) y es que no puedes acceder.

Great location, close to the city. Very clean communal kitchen and complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. Good value for money.

My room with private bathroom (no.2) was right next to the shared bathroom. Since the walls are quite thin, I could hear every time someone used it, including other guests taking shower at 2.30AM. The room had a fan but still very warm this time of year.

The shower room's window needs the blind same as the bedroom windows, as you can be seen from the nearby properties while you are in shower.

Beatiful guesthouse

The location was perfect. It's like a guesthouse so expect to hear all the noise from the contiguous room and they won't clean you rooms until you leave. They had nice gestures like having milk, granola, fruit, etc for breakfast.

Great location for a good price. Clean. Comfortable.

So much noise from the housekeepers, yelling kids on first day. Check out morning, sign said checkout between 11am and 12pm but housekeeper knocked on my door at 11.05 saying checkout was at 11 prompting me to leave.

Overall a good stay

Clean, modern, bright and quiet

There were a few little things that could have been done better …for instance there was no soap put out in the bathroom- I eventually scratched around the cupboard and found some…not enough toilet paper was put out either. there wasn’t much cereal to eat on the second morning…so not major but these little things get annoying…

Good location for access to canary wharf

Unclean utensils and kitchen appliances People staying in same property smoking weed and entire premises smelt of weed. Lot of noise and not calm to have a good rest Toilets are shared and you may be surprised with unkempt toilets and bathroom from use by other residents.

Nice place and worth the money!

We had a family room which had 2 very comfortable beds, table with chairs and a TV. The toilet was next to our room which was very handy. The apartment is situated in a very nice neighborhood and the river Thames is just around the corner. The nearest DLR (Island Gardens) is just a 5-10 min. walk and from there you can travel into London.

On the infosheet in the room is a WiFi password written which is not working anymore. However after sending a mail to The Rainbow with a question we received a reply with the correct password within short notice. It might be a good idea to adjust the password on the document in the room to avoid any inconveniences.

Will definitely stay here again. Communication was great, self check in was easy , the place was spotless with everything you needed. Location is great.

Fantastic!

Room was amazingly comfy! After a long flight we were both out like lights in our comfy warm bed. House was very quiet too. Nice selection of breakfast cereal and hot drink solutions provided in the shared kitchen.

The only fault was we couldn't figure out the wifi password. As two international travellers without a sim card, we couldn't even email or ask for help with this. On the information sheet, the wifi passcode was wrong. Maybe it was us doing something wrong but we couldn't get it working. Hopefully they will look into this problem and update the information on the sheet. It really is a fantastic place to stay in Canary Wharf!
