Satisfying stay!

I had a satisfying stay here. The hosts are lovely and very welcoming. Breakfast was decent (hoppers, toast, margarine, jam and fruits). On the second morning they made string hoppers with dhal curry because I asked for it. And the lady even sewed some clothes for me that needed repair - very helpful!

The house was full the night I came so the owner moved me to a room in his second location. At first I wasn't happy because it was very close to the main road (somewhat noisy) but he gave me a room more towards the back and in the end it was no problem at all. The room seemed quite newly built and had everything I needed.

優しいご夫婦がやってる家

オーナー夫婦が優しい。タートルビーチまで連れて行ってもらったり、ヒッカドゥア行きのバスを教えてくれたりと助かりましま。ビーチに近い。バスを使えば離れたビーチやゴール方面に移動できます。夕食にダルカレーを注文しました。美味しかったです。

お湯がではかった。暑くて水で大丈夫だったのでスタッフに伝えなかった。Wi-Fiの接続が弱い。

Una opción económica para alojarse en Galle

La amabilidad de sus dueños, en especial Lalani, que siempre estuvo muy atenta con nosotros. El desayuno muy completo. El precio del alojamiento era muy económico. La ubicación bien, a 2.5 km de Galle Fort o de Unawatuna Beach.

No hay internet. Hizo mucho calor y el ventilador no alcazaba a mantener fresca la habitación. Una de las almohadas no era cómoda para dormir, ni para leer en la cama.

Nice place to stay with great food

- the owners of the homestay were nice people - the food that the landlady cooks was always very good and delicious - the location was 2km away from Dutch Fort so that I could discover an other nice district of Galle - my room was big and nice, the bed was very comfortable and I had also a mosquito net.

- not that great breakfast - no internet connection - the broken sink in the bathroom

Доброжелательные хозяева, очень помогли с рядом вопросов, заменили номер на номер с АС, что в эту жару просто необходимо.

Грязновато в душе, завтрак для моего размера скудноватый ))

Худший отель из всех, где мы были за время отпуска на Шри Ланке.

Хорошее расположение

1) Забронировали номер с отдельной ванной в номере, а заселили в тот, у которого ванная снаружи общая с другим номером, разница в цене существенная. 2) Было очень жарко и душно, включили кондиционер и пошли прогуляться на пару часов, чтобы номер охладился, когда вернулись розетка с кондиционером была выключена, значит пока нас не было в номер заходил владелец. Считаю это максимально некорректным. 3) Кондиционер старый и не справляется, спать было невыносимо жарко. 4) Нет москитной сетки, зато есть комары. Это единственный отель (из десятка, где мы были), где нас покусали комары в отеле. 5) В комнате были мелкие муравьи повсюду, на кровати, на столе, их было не очень много, но время от времени мы их замечали. В ванной какие-то насекомые типа мух.

Really recommend

Super friendly hosts the wife’s laugh is contagious! Delicious fruits for breakfast.

The mattress sheet didn’t quite fit so ended up sleeping on hard mattress quite a bit.

I booked for 1 night. I ended up staying 2 months. Here’s why:

Hands down my favourite place I’ve ever stayed ANYWHERE in the world EVER. From the moment I arrived to the moment when I left, I’ve never felt more looked after. You can FEEL like warmth from these people as soon as you arrive. The breakfast (included in the price) was incredible — a colourful banquet of local and native fruits and dishes. Whenever I expressed curiosity in a certain native food or fruit, it was on the plate the very next day. My room was cleaned daily. They brought tea up to the room when I was working (no extra cost). The dog was super cute and friendly (massive green flag if you ask me!). They literally handled everything. Washing, breakfast, lunch, phone top ups — everything! One day I had a problem with my phone and Jawa (Dad I call him) took me down on his bike and spent 3 hours helping me deal with the Sri Lankan company to make sure it all got sorted! The icing on the cake though? When I left they showered me with Sri Lankan gifts, helped me pack, woke up super early to cook me breakfast and make sure I got to the airport bus on time — and even escorted me to the bus station like I was the US President! Haha. I was blown away by the exit party. For <$7, I can’t believe this place exists. I struck gold finding this place, and I will 1000% be coming back to stay here again. To top it all off, I met some awesome guests who were just like me. This place attracts good people. If you’re a backpacker, remote worker or just someone who’d like to experience Sri Lankan hospitality at its best, do yourself a favour and stay here. Best customer care I’ve ever received anywhere ever — full stop.

I had such a wonderful stay at this accommodation! The room was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed for my trip. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. The location was also great, with easy access to the city center and nearby attractions. I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, which featured a variety of fresh, local options. Overall, I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. 😊

Good

It was really clean and the host try to help where he could. He gave us many advises where to go and what to see. It is a reall friendly couple and they have a smile on their faces all the time :)

There is a temple right next to the House and during our stay the played very loud Music and Prayers between 5:00 and 5:30 in the morning, so we couldn't sleep. But maybe it was just a special time. The bed in the Budget room was a bit hard.

Very accommodating family! They are incredibly generous and are not concerned about money. The lady of the house is also a very talented tailor, highly recommend.

Right choice for the budget.

The owners were extremely nice and helpful. Room was a decent size for two adults. To every breakfast we get fresh juice and a few veggies / fruits on the side.

Exceptional

Very quiet place, secluded from the city noise. The best hosts I have met in Sri Lanka treat the guest like a member of the family. Cleaning every couple of days Excellent breakfasts, you can also order dinner, dessert or fresh juice if you wish. There is a Buddhist temple nearby, so there is a pleasant smell of incense on the street from time to time. 10 points out of 5!
