Wonderful weekend of walking, Alnmouth a perfect weekend destination and the Sun Inn is a great pub.

Rooms above a lovely pub, very helpful and friendly bar staff. Fantastic location. Quiet.

Room was ok but could have done with an update (bathroom a little bit mouldy etc) bearing in mind the price.

Comfortable stay at The Sun Rooms. Great value for money.

Location was perfect for Alnmouth beach.

The kettle did not reach the plug socket when on the fridge, so we had to use it while it was on the floor.

Ideally located for our needs

Location was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Great to have a small fridge in the room. Much earlier check in than expected.

We thought the bar was open for the night we booked but when we arrived it was closed. However the Red Lion proved to be a nice pub with lovely food. Decor needs a little update.

Staff very friendly and helpful, particularly Heidi who showed us to our room and Joanna who served us in the bar

Comfortable and clean in a great location. Food very good and friendly atmosphere in the bar

There was too much furniture in the bedroom which made it a bit cramped.

Good place, comfortable bed, nice staff, clean. But if travelling with expensive bikes I’d have been pretty concerned ab

Pretty quiet in our room, given that it’s in a pub . Staff were pleasant and helpful in making space for us to store our bikes.

We had booked the bikes in at time of making the booking, but the staff weren’t prepared when we arrived . It needed a bit of a team effort to create the space, which was outdoor and uncovered, so not ideal.

A Perfect Stop on The Northumberland Coast Trail.

Perfect location and a perfect base to explore the Northumberland Coast. Breakfast was a lovely little basket selection of croissant, cereal and juice which was delivered to my room in the evening. Very friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. The room was cosy, clean and the bed very comfortable. Thank you.

Alnmouth is such a beautiful town to visit for a day at the beach and these rooms are just a short walk away from the sands.

Very comfortable accommodation in a centrally located position

The bedroom was one of the best I have stayed in. Very comfortable double bed. Very spacious room. Shower facility was also good - and plenty of room there also

I would have liked breakfast albeit I can't remember whether or not it was included in the original booking. Had it been available it would have capped a perfect stay. As it was I spent most of the next day feeling a bit hungry

Really lovely stay

Very friendly, happy, helpful staff & manager. They created a lovely atmosphere 😊 Very comfortable bright clean room. Great nights sleep. Lovely drinks served then sat outside in the sun. Thank you all at The Sun Inn 🌞

Very dissatisfied for the price. No communication that there would not before served on booking

Location

On booking.com stated food served disappointing that this was not the case!! We would have booked an alternative pub serving food if we had known Pub had changed hands No mention on booking or when we received the confirmation from the sun. Very noisy…. Room was above the bar Could hear everything so loud we couldn’t hear the TV

Staff very friendly and helpful. Tea & Coffee facilities in room Room, bedding, towels, bathroom very clean. Sad, no facility for food, due to kitchen refurb. Would stay here again.

Terrible draft from bedroom window. No instructions for TV or health & safety, fire evacuation etc. Carpets a little tired, need replacing. Only one bedside cabinet and one bedside lamp in a double room. Would like mugs for tea/coffee instead of cups. Stated room was " deluxe" not quite sure where deluxe came into the room?
