Perfect place to stay in Blandford Forum

The house is beautiful. The entrance hall has an original tiled floor and we had a lovely warm welcome from our host, Neil. Lovely room, large, comfortable bed, large bathroom with shower and bath. Beautifully presented. Oh and breakfast was very good. Sausage & bacon perfect and properly cooked vine tomatoes. Really cannot find anything that wasn't perfect.

* Friendly and accommodating staff. * Good location, close to centre. * Excellent breakfast. * Soft towels. Additional blankets available; not pillows. * 24Hairdryer.

Bathroom could have been cleaner - stain on shower edge looking like tea? Limescale around shower screen fittings could have easily been reduced. No additional pillows (but probably available from reception, if manned)

Comfortable stay

Bed is comfortable, breakfast is amazing. It’s very quiet and private.

The only thing was that the shower was on and off occasionally, and have to wait for a while for the hot water to come.

Breakfast was amazing, very generous, high standard. Very good location, lots of parking spaces. The room was very clean and comfy.

The room was way too hot, the ceiling fan was not good enough for the heat.

Great location, easy to find and extremely impressive!

Portman Lodge is a very impressive B&B; it sits on a quiet, residential street, is easily accessed and has a grand feel about it. Jerry was hugely welcoming and informative, and the perfect host. Breakfast was lovely and served when needed. Highly recommended.

Beautiful spacious property on the outskirts of the Georgian Blandford Forum

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. There was a lounge to relax in with a brilliant selection of books. Room 3 was very quiet and exceptionally clean with everything you would expect. Lots of parking. We would definitely stay again.

A perfect place to land after a night out. Host Neil was extremely friendly and we could have chatted for hours. Stay ro

Beautiful Victorian lodge with charm and character. Room was large and comfortable with a lovely en suite bathroom. Staff were wonderful and friendly. Gorgeous cooked breakfast and there are lots of choices.

Blandford has limited options for accommodation and therefore, prices are high. Compared to common chain hotels, Portman Lodge was at higher end of pricing. The only thing I could really offer as a constructive point would be to suggest smaller tables in the breakfast room rather than two large tables for a greater degree of privacy if guests require that.

Really nice place, lovely room and very comfortable stay! Breakfast was great! Good selection on the menu, as well as cereal, fruits and juices. Great value for money and very tasty and freshly prepared.
