About this house rental

Kaptain Morgan’s Port Royale' is located on MM 8 in Cape Hollow Cove, which is behind the twin islands. This area of the lake provides deep water year-round and is excellent for fishing and boating. We have done an extensive remodel, adding in a full kitchen and bathroom, complete with a tub. It sleeps 4 with a queen-size bed in the Captain's Quarters and a full-size bed in the Crew's Quarters. We provide a queen size air mattress for additional guests. The 6 Person Hot Tub and fire-pit make for relaxing evenings and sunsets. There is a large Martini deck overlooking the lake and dock. Additionally, this cabin has a laundry unit, Flat Screen Smart TV, Cable, and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is stocked with spices, oils, and staples. We provide all soaps, detergents, trash bags, etc. We also include everything you need for grilling and a 36” propane griddle. We provide swim noodles. floating seats and life vests for the children. This cabin comes with a 10’x28’ boat slip at no additional charge. And yes, Canine pets are welcome so feel free to bring your fury friends!! Please contact the owner if you have more than two dogs.
***Please note: Dogs and small children should not swim at this location. There is not a way for dogs to get back on the dock. The water can become rough during weekends and in high season. ***
Bringing a boat? There is a boat launch less than a mile away at Lake Shores Marina. Renting a Boat? Lake Time Boat Rental offers free dock drop off and pick up. Fishing? Our dock is in deep water and the fish love to bite. Raining? Laurie, MO has a movie theater and an indoor pool! We also supply games and cards. Questions? Please contact us for more details.
Shopping and restaurants are close by along with Jacob's and Bridal Cave. Ozark International Raceway is less than 30 minutes away. HaHa Tonka and Lake Ozarks State Park have fabulous, well-marked hiking trails. Wildlife you may see in our cove include Deer, Fox, Geese, Ducks, Turtles, Herons, Toads, Fish, Eagles, Bunnies, and an occasional Armadillo!

This was the absolute best experience I’ve had with a rental property. We arrived to a spot less, well-cared for cabin! The outdoor spaces were so awesome! Response from the owner was instant! We will stay here again and again if possible! A+ Renee!!

Highly recommend! Renee’s communication & attention to detail is top notch! Of the 8 VRBO’s we’ve rented, this on is the cutest, cleanest & most well appointed! So many outdoor places to relax & enjoy the water views! Hot tub was fabulous under the stars! Roasted marshmallows & made s’mores too! Jumped off the dock into the refreshing lake. Mallard ducks hung out with us each day! Saw deer, squirrels, chipmunks, bald eagles, hawks, herons, woodpeckers, geese, purple martins, cardinals, ravens etc. Wonderful lakeside restaurants! We are truly blessed to have found this place!

Cozy two bedroom was clean and modern. Complete appliances and utilities for cooking and staying for a week. Plenty of outdoor decks and seating. Hottub was not "private" but it was close to the house. Steps to the boat slip were a little rough and unlevel but was not a bad walk up or down. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

House and property were perfect for my spouse and I, as well as dogs. The hot tub was a perfect addition to relax after a day of hiking.

The house was updated and a perfect size for myself and three grown daughters. The property was well maintained and the dock was wonderful to spend the days on in the sun! The communication with Renee was great and her response time to any questions I had were very timely. I would recommend this place to anyone going to the Lake of the Ozarks!!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The property was just far enough away from the hussle & bustle, but close enough to enjoy activities. Very relaxing deck & dock and the swimming and boat dock were perfect for our rental boat. The hot tub was relaxing and the house was clean and AC worked great! Pet friendly was huge for us, as our fur baby was along on vacation. Highly recommend!

We had a girls’ weekend here and enjoyed our stay. Great hot tub, dock with easy stair ladder, and plenty of deck space. I will mention that if you have trouble with stairs, part of the walk to the dock could be tricky, as it’s stones in concrete for steps. Overall we had a wonderful time and recommend this property!

It was exactly as pictured in the listing. The dock and decks were so relaxing. My oldest son loved reading in the hammock. The hot tub was very clean. It is always nice to be able to keep up with laundry when you have little ones.

We booked this clean and cute home for 3 nights to celebrate our oldest son turning 13. What a wonderful place! It was sparkling clean, fully stocked, and Renee/host was a spectacular communicator. Having a private dock was so helpful when we rented a boat for the day. (Frankly & Louie’s was AWESOME place to rent boat and grab a drink/bite). The location on the lake was perfect- close to most attractions but off the main drag in a cove. Definitely worth 5+ stars!!!

Property exceptionally clean has everything you need, soap to beach towels, floats, We had an amazing time very enjoyable. I hope anyone who stays is respectful to keep this property rental as nice as it is. Everything is new. Renee was very nice and helpful. She takes care of her guests.
