About this cottage rental
A short distance outside Charlbury, Banbury Hill Farmhouse is set among similar farm buildings alongside the lovely Cotswold View Caravan & Camping Park. With its own gravelled drive and parking area, the cottage sits at one side of the lawned garden and patio. A number of walking routes lead from the cottage and it is an easy distance from Chipping Norton and other charming villages.
The farmhouse has been beautifully decorated throughout with all the features you would expect in a relaxing home from home. A well-equipped kitchen provides space for children to eat in the adjoining breakfast bar area and the stunning dining room with open stonework is a wonderful space for the whole group to spend time together. A sitting room with a woodburner and sink-in sofas give room to relax and put your feet up at the end of the day. The central foyer and grand staircase take you to the first and second floors with seven bedrooms, many with unique en-suites. There will be no fighting over the best room as each is equally stylish.
Patio doors open from the dining room to the paved patio looking out over the Cotswold hills and rolling farmland. The garden has a lawned area and is fenced with gated access allowing the children to play safely. You can dine outside on fine evenings and light the firepit to keep the cold at bay. Beyond the garden, well-signed trails take you around the surrounding farmland where you can find sheep and donkeys.

Entering the farmhouse, you are first met by an American style fridge-freezer, a Belfast sink and a dishwasher in the entrance hall. The property is well laid out and extremely clean. Fantastic for exploring the Cotswold. Loved the daily baguette/croissant deliveries. Highly recommend the property and the owners.

What a fabulous house! A perfect place for our annual family get together. Ideal for the little ones too, with plenty of things to entertain them close by.
The daily hampers were delicious and very fresh.
Everything was superb, we all loved it!
A minor thing - the first bedroom upstairs on the right had no mirror or stool by the dressing table, so nowhere to dry hair or put make up on. But that was the only thing that prevents me from saying 'perfect!'

We used this for a base to see the 2024 British GP at Silverstone and it was perfect. The home easily accommodated our group of 11, and the home is perfectly appointed. Fresh bread and pastry are delivered daily, there is a cute cafe there, too. Really a very nice place to stay

We enjoyed 4 fantastic nights staying at the Farmhouse (although wish we could’ve stayed far longer)! The home was immaculate and had everything you could’ve needed for a large group. The special touch of a freshly baked cake and homemade granola on arrival alongside the bacon, sausages, eggs and juice was amazing. The freshly pastries delivered to the door each morning really made our days. Highly recommend for your Cotswold stay, you won’t regret it.

Really beautiful house with absolutely everything we could've needed - the kitchen was very well stocked with pans, crockery and utensils, which was great as we cooked on two of the nights. And having two dishwashers made life a lot easier! The welcome hamper was lovely, particularly the fresh bread and pastries in the mornings.
All the bedrooms and bathrooms were beautifully done out and there was plenty of space. The weather was amazing so we spent a lot of time outside, making use of the picnic benches and games provided, and also the tennis court on site.
It was nice to stay in a place which was as lovely in real life as it looked in the photos! Would definitely recommend.

Excellent stay, loved the house, the location and the pastries! I can’t wait to come back, as 3 days wasn’t enough!

We are discerning and demanding travellers and were therefore absolutely delighted to discover this charming and supremely comfortable house for a celebratory weekend en famille. Everything was faultless and flawless and special mention should be drawn to the caring and considerate welcome we received from Jane (the owner) and her staff. Staying at this property is therapeutic in itself and provided a wonderful backdrop to our celebrations. A top class ‘Farmhouse’ stay in each and every respect.

We had a wonderful stay at Banbury Hill Farmhouse. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and is in very good condition. It is in a lovely area and the farm animals on the site were a big draw for the younger members of our group whilst disc golf was a hit with the adults. However, what sets this property apart from others we've stayed at is the generous food provision. We were astounded by the quantity and quality of the food left for us - enough breakfast provisions to cater for a large group for a number of days along with homemade cakes, granola and shortbread along with a large platter of fruit. We had bread and croissants delivered daily and almost had to be rolled away at the end of our stay. A really lovely location for a break and thoughtful owners/hosts who had thought of everything we could need - we'd love to return.

Far exceeded all our expectations. Was not expecting the breakfast hamper to be so generous.
All the mod cons made our stay wonderful. Everything is top quality.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Our stay at The Farmhouse was absolutely wonderful. We were a family of 10 who stayed for 3 nights. The accommodation was spacious, luxurious, clean and beautiful. The welcome pack was fabulous; orange juice, milk, bacon, sausages, fresh fruit, yoghurt and home made cake. The morning fresh baguettes, pan au chocolates and croissants were delicious. We would highly recommend The Farmhouse.

We booked Banbury Hill farmhouse for 13 family members, everyone was impressed and said how lovely it was. Recommended!
Breakfast bread and pastries were 1st class.
Thank you

This property had it all! It was the best equipped house we’ve stayed at with such a large group and was in a great location. Everyday we received freshly baked pastries and bread, which was a nice touch, and the house came with everything required for a weekend of delicious breakfasts.
The only tiny downside would be that in the height of summer, the camping/caravan park may be really busy which the nearby cafe could become a bit of an issue with noise/people.

We had a wonderful weekend stay here (7 adults, 2 teens and 3 kids). The place is absolutely incredible. Well furnished, really well equipped (it had a massive slow cooker as well as a toaster maker, wine fridge, etc etc) and was well stocked on arrival (sausages, bread, milk, fruit, bread etc). And every morning fresh pastries and bread delivered to our doorstep! Well situated (we visited rollright stones and crocodile world) and our kids loved the farm animals right outside and visited the goats every day. The teens had their own space in which to quietly retreat and the adults had a good chit chat.
Overall it was perfect for what we wanted and we would for the first time ever seriously consider returning to the same place again!

Everything about the farmhouse is just amazing, the interior is luxurious and spotless. It was perfect for my family of 11 including 3 very young children who loved the garden, ducks, goats and sheep and the dinosaur trail through the woods.
Service was faultless with fresh pastries and baguettes delivered every morning, even on the day of leaving.
Absolutely recommend this holiday home!

An amazing farmhouse for our family reunion of 9 adults and 3 young children. We couldn't have wanted for more. All the bedrooms are really comfortable and have plenty of space and most have an ensuite bathroom. The whole house is tastefully decorated and furnished. To top it all the fridge was loaded with sausages, bacon, yoghurt, fresh fruit, butter, milk and homemade fruit compote. We also had a huge tray of eggs, homemade granola, a big homemade cake and every morning a hamper of croissants, pain au chocolat, fluffy pancakes and french bread was brought to us. Lots of games were available and the outdoor ones would have been great if we'd had better weather! Placed on a farm with goats, lambs, ducks, chickens, donkeys, there were plenty of walks and trails. A children's park nearby and a little shop just meant everything was provided. An excellent place to stay.

Eleven of us 45yrs after some of us sharing a university flat. Farm house was very attractive, very well equipped. We loved it.
Breakfast packs were outstanding. We would all like to go back.
