About this cabin rental

3 bed/2 bath cabin sits on the bank of the Upper Iowa River with majestic views of the towering bluffs. You can practically fish right off the back deck. Bring your kayaks, tubes, fishing poles, and of course bathing suits.
*Right by Dorchester public ground hunting.
*Hot tub available all year round with views of the river
*Pets allowed for a one time $50 pet fee per pet
*washer /dryer
-propane for grill and firewood are not provided with this rental. Please bring your own firewood/buy it in local town. There will be a tank at property that can be filled in town as well.
-3 night minimum stay required for weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

This was a great spot for anyone interested in convenient river access. As far as housekeeping, there was an evident deficit. Dust, toys, and garbage were found in corners of house. It was poorly cleaned and poorly maintained. Prescription medications was left in the unorganized kitched cupboards. Lack of adequate

Beautiful setting right on the Upper Iowa River. Very private. Very clean. This was a girl's trip (5 of us) and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. We are already talking about coming back. The only issue we had was no railing on the steps going into the house (even though it was only a few steps) and railing only on one side of the steps going to the basement. We had a couple people with mobility issues and had to be very careful. We strongly suggest getting railings in those 2 places. One of the ladies actually fell at the bottom of the basement steps. Luckily she did not get hurt. Aside from that, everything was perfect. We had fun watching the Baltimore Oriole in the trees as well as other birds and watching baby bunnies hopping around.

My husband and our 2 dogs found the cabin very relaxing. We were able to walk right out to the river & do some fishing. Our dogs had plenty of yard space to venture around. The hot tub was a nice touch at the end of the night. After the traffic calms down from the day, it is very peaceful and all you can hear is the nature. Everything was as described and we enjoyed our stay :)

This cabin is amazing. The scenery is perfect for a getaway. The river being right outside made it a nice view, good fishing, and we did a float right to the cabin. We will definitely stay here again.

The cabin was really nice, but it was a little hard communicating with the property manager she didn’t always reply back. We couldn’t get the air-conditioning to work and I tried messaging and calling and never got a response back from the property manager. Luckily, there was a bedroom in the basement which was nice and cool for the whole trip other than that the cabin was really nice only other thing is that we never got any check-in information I had to call and figure out what was going on and how to do it . Would still recommend.

This was a two bedroom cabin with hot tub near the river, to relax and laugh and tell stories. Additional beds in basement and 2nd floor loft. Plenty of couches. Seating for 5 on deck. You may want to bring bag chairs for more than 2 people to sit by the fire. Area is quiet but there is a highway directly across the river. Well equipped for cooking and coffee. Hosts were accommodating with a family emergency that required rescheduling. We had fun!

Easy to find with a nice location. It appears that this location is going to continue to get better and be able to host larger groups. The house offers a bunch of amenities such as a fire pit area, hot tub, and out door seating off the deck. Open concept on the main floor and lots of room in the basement. Overall good experience for our family of 9 (kids, parents, and grandparents) Manager was pretty quick to respond and meet requests.

Easily will sleep 12, had ample room for my children and grandchildren. (Had 11 in our party) Property is a work in progress where the owners have been updating and will become more awesome. Hot tub on premises worked well. We did go to Wal-Mart and buy and added a defoaming agent as it made way too much foam when agitated. Had nice large refrigerator and stove and oven worked well. Has washer and dryer which was nice to use for our bedding and towels we brought. Had a few fires in the firepit and used my cast iron pie makers to make pizza's and then of course had smores. Very close to trout streams which my son's, grandsons and I took advantage of while the girls took off to do their thing. Beautiful back yard view of the upper Iowa River. I would come back to this place again.

This is an excellent location on the river. The hot tub is nice. Absolutely beautiful views. The campground down the street allows day use for busy children. Be advised that you provide your own sheets. We did find pillows and blankets in the cabin. Kitchen was stocked but could use a few more hot pads. Overall—this place is great. I recommend the home. Just expect a fabulous cabin/fishing spot. Go into it thinking nice cabin not a five star Hilton—-you will very happy. We were super happy.

We really had a great time in this cabin. We spent time on the deck with a perfect view of the river. Fished in the river and in the nearby trout streams. The cabin has lots of room for the 5 of us and comfortable furniture and beds. It was a wonderful getaway.

Great weekend in the wilderness with friends. Cory and Gabby had great communication, and were very accommodating. Everyone in our group mentioned that they wanted to return soon.

Three couples were looking for a weekend away without children. This was the perfect location! We golfed, floated, enjoyed the fire pit and a couple local restaurants. So much more we could have done and didn't have time for that we are looking to return next summer.
