It was a great stay. There needs to be a better sign to show where to check in. Came for a softball tournament. Girls enjoyed the pool as well. Breakfast is NOT continental

The property was central but we stayed on a Monday and everything was closed except one restaurant which was good so no issues. The property was exceptional in the communal areas but the bedroom was dated and looked like a motel. The bed was extremely comfortable. The pool was lovely but went to sit on the seats next to the infinity area and it overflowed to a stagnant pond which was awful and full of mosquitoes, it let the whole outside down.

From the time we stepped in, until we left. Service was superb. The pool was amazing. The room was clean with a view of the river. The hostess was traing someone, and rheyvwere very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. This is my new hideaway getaway

Several minor details were off with furniture and fixtures that could be overlooked if not for the two big issues we had. First, the highly touted sunday brunch, which is listed on their Facebook page for July 7th, was not available and we were told wouldn't start back until August?(This was one of the deciding factors in our choosing this hotel) Second, my email confirmation said check in was for 3, and checkout was for 12. However, at 11:15 housekeeping was knocking on our door like the police (despite the do not disturb sign)and they informed us checkout USED to be 12 but was now 11? I wager some of this is poor listings on Hotels.com, who also appear to have overcharged us based on the rate on my receipt from the hotel vs the one from the app. (That is a dig at the app, not the hotel I know). Overall it was a pretty big letdown, and I doubt we will return. The front lobby does look very chic with its selfie wall and art gallery, just don't look up at all the water stains and mildew on the ceiling tiles.

Check-in and out very easy, covered parking across the street, pretty lobby and available seating and games were nice. Dog friendly a big plus! Great location within walking distance of places to eat and see. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. The train came by at 5am and stopped in front of the hotel, blowing the horn repeatedly.

Look, the property is being listed as something it’s not. The pictures online do not accurately represent the property. The lobby and entrance are the nicest part of the property. The rooms are old and outdated. We stayed two nights, a different room each night. Both rooms had wet ceilings in the shower, one room smelled like a room from the 70’s with the stale ciggerete smoke smell and both rooms had discolored paint, 25 year old couches and plenty of bad caulk jobs from repairs. The “river view” is a finger of water off the main river. Most of the view is of concrete. The parking is in a garage across the street which is pretty sketchy at best. There is not an employee around from 11pm-7am. The attitude from the clerk our first night was a pretty good indication she didn’t want to be there. End of the day the website implies this is something it’s not even close to. We paid $279 a night. This is a $100 a night place at best. We won’t be back

Just after we checked in the fire alarms went off due to a fire in the basement caused by cloths in a tumble dryer! We had to vacate and weren’t allowed back in for another 3 hours as they had to wait for the smoke to clear. The staff did seem to handle this well but the issue probably shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The whole lobby area is nice but the service levels weren’t always good, we were trying to order some breakfast and the lady was on her phone! I think the rooms and hallways do need updating as quite tired. Other than that it is well situated for the town and has some nice facilities.

The property had a fire on in the laundry room the day I arrived. The property smelled like smoke the whole weekend and had dirty air with floating particles. Although unfortunate for everyone, other accommodations should have been made or I should have been told to book elsewhere before arriving- I was not in a position, arriving late at night to book elsewhere.. There was no housekeeping available for subsequent days (no towel service, updates to room supplies, etc.). There was no offer for a discounted rate or vouchers (for missing coffee in the room, etc.).
