Great accomodation on our UK road trip

Great location and plentiful street parking (important criteria for me) Really comfortable room & bathroom with everything we needed (as advertised) Would stay again!

Amble Retreats is amazing

The location is amazing - right on the harbour. Parking is very easy and accessible. The rooms are spacious and clean and comfortable. The hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly. Will definitely book again.

Shocking service

I had 2 lads stay here for work and the area was nice

Where the staff let themselves down is complaining regarding a few mucky towels and dirt on the floor. Then £125 was taken from my card that was pre authorised on booking.com for the accommodation ONLY before I was even contacted, emailed, called or shown any evidence of what I was been charged for. Upon request they sent me the images shown so basically if you stay here make sure the room is absolutely spotless otherwise you might wake up to find your bank account a few quid lighter.

fabulous location

location was great, and the pubs in the area were great for food. it was good you could park in front of the property it was so handy.

the nights we stayed it was unfortunate that a family were staying in the room above, they were quite noisy (which is not there fault as they were also on holiday) which resulted in us getting less sleep on a night and in the morning 🙁

Relaxing by the sea in great accomodation with everything we needed within walking distance

We had a lovely break away. The room was perfect, lovely and light, clean and just what we needed. The addition of the downstairs lounge was a great asset. The owner was cheerful and always around if we eeded anything. The location was perfect. Close to everything we needed, but quiet too.

The only thing that would've been nice would be a mini fridge to keep the milk cold, but we managed :)

Owner - Paul - very obliging as I had got booking wrong and he found us another room for one night.

Stayed at the harbour retreat fri-sun,we couldn't have picked better,we were right in the middle of everything,our window was facing the carpark at the harbour but the double glazing must be really good as we never heard a thing,the gentleman who greeted us was great,he gave us advice on where to go & where to eat,room was spotless,will stay again, thanx

Fine for our stay, clean and tidy.

Its location was very good for us for a couple of nights. we were able to park at the door. met at the door when we arrived after getting a phone call from the owner.

Being an older person the stairs were very steep for me but two handrails helped.

Clean, comfortable, convenient

Room only. No food on offer, but I knew this when I booked. Very friendly owner. Comfortable room with everything I needed, Shower, toilet TV, kettle, tea and coffee.

Great value for money . Good location for touring Northumberland .

Fabulous location . Hosts Paul & Claire were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great stay . Rooms were spotlessly clean . Beds were lovely and comfortable.

Great hosts, excellent location and value for money.

We had a warm welcome from Claire and Paul. We were shown the studio apartment and we were very pleased with our choice of room photos. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Nice to have a fridge with a small freezer and also a microwave. You have your own door. Excellent location by the harbour. I would highly recommend the apartment to anyone as it is a great value for what you get.

The only thing we didn't like but there is nothing the owners can do about the seagulls leaving droppings on our car but as everyone knows that this is to be expected if you go to any seaside resort in the UK.

Superb

.Had a 4 night stay over Easter and couldn't fault it. The new owners Paul and Clair have worked hard getting it ready for the summer. It's clean, fresh and friendly. They both go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. Definitely booking again.
