About this house rental
Antonio and Adam invite you to stay at 2 Highview Boulevard in the Brookhaven Hamlet, a few blocks East of Bellport and "South of the Highway".
In the fall of 2020, we renovated our home, inspired by a Serena and Lily and a few trips to Tulum. The 3 bedroom home has a bright and simple design for relaxation on Long Island.
The open living room and kitchen invite you to plop down and relax. Muted and natural tones and heavy blankets will make napping necessary.
The living room is anchored by a significant quadtych by Gustavo Bonevardi - look closely as the Aspen trees are made up of individual letters. The living room is furnished by vintage cane furniture, Crate and Barrel, and a Samsung Frame TV. The dinning room furniture is heirloom, A. Sibau table and chairs, that moved with Antonios uncle from NYC to South Beach to Puerto Rico and imported back for this home.
On the main floor there are 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom enjoys tremendous light though large sliding glass doors that overlook the pool. The master bathroom is a point of pride to us, a large shower, custom made Corian vanity, and Kohler Purist fixtures give the bathroom a luxurious feel - we skipped on the subway tile for this home.
The second bedroom has a beautiful cane queen bed from Anthropologie and the smaller bedroom has a comfortable day bed that sleeps one. The second bathroom has a modern spa feel finished with Kohler Purist brass fixtures.
The basement has a game room atmosphere, a table for playing cards, a pool table, large screen TV for movie nights, and a fold out sofa, comfortably sleeping a few unexpected guests.
In the Spring of 2021 a new heated gunite pool was installed, the pool is surrounded by Jordan Brown furniture. Privacy trees are planted around the perimeter of the property, however these trees are a little young this summer. Cook dinner over a pellet grill and enjoy time around the vintage Russell Woodard table and chairs
A block away is a nice nature walk on the CEED property (Fire Place Historic District), across the street the farm sells fresh eggs (take the kids to see the chickens), just to the East (an easy walk) is a proper farm stand.
There are 4 Linus Dutchie bikes for the 5 minute ride into Bellport. A nice ride is to Mothers Beach at the end of South Howels Point Road, don't miss the amazing trees on Livingston Street. A morning trip to get coffee at Bellport General and a little shopping is a standard weekend morning for us.
At night we often bike in to dinner at the Bellport (low key 'fancy') or Porters (try the lobster roll) - and we always get ice cream at Carla Marla's.
There are also 3 stand-up paddle boards, take them to the beach at the end of our street. Once on the water there is a nice river to explore just to the East. The intrepid paddlers may want to paddle into the Bellport marine (just arrange to have someone pick you up!).
Electronic key entry via Ring.
Parking for multiple cars is easy in the semi-circle driveway. In the garage there are a few surprises, 4 Linus Dutchie bikes, and 3 stand-up paddle boards. The stand up paddle boards can be launched from the private beach at the end of Bellhaven Road. Explore the inland waterways or take on a real adventure and paddle to the Bellport Marina.
The home is a comfortable bike ride to downtown Bellport. Short term renters do not have access to the town ferry, you will need a friend in town to help you get passes.
A fun day trip is to take the ferry from Sayville and go to the Pines or Cherry Grove.
The pool is heated with gas, it is newly installed in the spring of 2021.
The fire place in the living room is gas.
We are dog friendly, dogs tend to get muddy around here - if you would like to bring your dog, let's talk about it. Please cover furniture with blankets if yours is a muddy - shed - monster.

We stayed at this house throughout the month of July, with friends and family visiting for a few days on weekends. The home itself is very airy and bright with plenty of areas for socializing and congregating, both indoors and out. The pool itself was so lovely and serene, as were the entire grounds. You can tell there is a lot of love, care, and attention that has went into making this place a true “out east” escape.
The location is a short walk or bike ride to downtown Bellport, where you can enjoy the various coffee shops, general store, ice cream parlor, and restaurants. Everyone in the community is so warm and friendly, a bit different than some of other “big-name” towns during peak season heading further east on the island. The immediate neighborhood around the house was great for riding bikes and taking our dog for a walk.
We loved our stay here and are hoping to go back again soon. Adam and Tony are wonderful hosts, super communicative and just overall good people. We’re really glad to have met them and grateful for the opportunity to enjoy their home.
If you’re looking for an escape from the city without the snobbiness of some other spots (and at a more palatable price point), we can’t recommend it enough.
