About this house rental

Welcome to the waterfront Twin Ponds Lodge, built in 1987 and for many of its years was used as overnight accommodations for hunters. Many guests have felt they were staying in a rustic cabin in one of the Country’s National Parks. If you are a wildlife enthusiast you’ll be right at home!

Leave the high speed WiFi life behind as you nestle in and disconnect in this beautifully aged Waterfront Retreat, located on the calming Corsica River. This very roomy waterfront lodge with panoramic waterfront views, is all on one floor and is a wonderful place for your family reunion, corporate retreat or a relaxing getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. With the huge square footage of living space the Lodge provides plenty of roaming room, along with multiple outdoor spaces to enjoy and make lifetime memories

Upon entering the Lodge you’ll be introduced to the owner’s allure to waterfowl and wildlife. Start your morning by making breakfast on the gas stove top and oven in the accommodating kitchen, where a Keurig coffee maker sits waiting to wake you up…along with starter coffee pods, sugars and creamers. The kitchen overlooks the large dining area and offers a gas stove top and oven, a full size refrigerator/freezer (no ice maker), coffee bar, microwave, dishwasher, pots and pans and large kitchen sink with water views. There is a generously sized dining table that seats 14 comfortably with an additional 5 seats at the breakfast bar. Across from the kitchen is a guest powder room.

Just down the hall from the kitchen is the primary suite with both a king and a twin bed, an entrance to an outdoor deck, with chairs that overlook the grounds, and a full bath with a soaking tub, walk in shower and double vanity.

On the opposite side of the Lodge is a sunken living area which features a 65” Samsung TV with local channels available including MeTV, getTV, GRIT also apps like Air Play, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Amazon Prime and more.
There is a spacious indoor game area with Ping Pong, Billiards, Shuffleboard, Foosball, 2 card tables complete with poker chips and also an inviting wet bar. A Library Nook with a variety of books await for your reading pleasure along with numerous jig saw puzzles and board games

Down the hall you’ll find a Laundry room with a utility sink, full size washer and full size dryer and 4 additional bedrooms with 2 full Jack-n-Jill bathrooms.

The size of the house and the outdoor space was everything we wanted for our large group vacation. Loved the big yard for games and the private beach. The huge kitchen made meals for a group of 12 easy and the game room was a big hit throughout our stay. Host communication was simple and easy and our stay was carefree. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a blast! There was lots of things to keep us busy. The only downside was there was no instructional guidance like how to use the commercial stove (one was not working) or where the remotes for the high ceiling fans were located, etc. but overall it’s a nice place.

Each year my family and friends take a boat trip on the Bay. The Lodge was perfect for our group. The sunsets and view from the deck are breath taking. The size and openness of the floor gave everyone freedom to be alone and together at the same time. Thank you.

Beautiful location! Great for entertaining. True Eastern Shore decor that kept you discovering something new in the house. Will definitely return.

I was hesitant to write a review. Mainly because I wanted to keep the beautiful place a secret. The house is awesome. Great sunken living room with elevated game/bar area on one side and dining area kitchen on the other. Two cozy reading nooks, one on each side of the entrance, also double as chess/checkers areas. And the grounds are gorgeous. Wrap around deck to watch the sun and the tide rise and fall. Tons of wildlife. We figured we’d see eagles and osprey (and we did), but the little otters surfing the swells right off shore was a pleasant surprise. All in all this place is a gem. I went down with a group of friends (mid-40’s dads), but I would definitely go back with the wife and kids for more rest and relaxation. Can’t go wrong with this place. Couple that with owners who respond right away to emails, etc., this place is just about perfect.

Plenty of room and games to play. The view from the house/deck was amazing. Unfortunately we couldn't get the oven to work and we had planned on eating in the house. It was too cold to use the grill, the property manager was responsive to our issues but couldn't get anyone out to fix the problem during our stay. It's definitely a Duck Club.

We had Christmas here for an 18 month old, two 3 yr olds, and a 6 year old. They could run up and down without it being too loud or crowded or worrying about them breaking anything. There is a small beach and a big backyard, and we haven't worried once about bothering the neighbors. The place was decorated for xmas, which was super nice. It feels like an old hunting lodge, which is fun. But the age does have its annoyances. The dishwasher broke, there are 5 can openers but only one cutting board, there isnt a vacuum cleaner, the bookshelves have nothing readable. We would stay here again, especially for a large group spanning 70 years.

It was great spending time in Centreville MD. The house was as large as the pictures would suggest. The kitchen was equipped with a commercial grade oven and cooktop. The outdoors area was functional and large.
