The Neighborhood:
While staying at Lands End you can enjoy a quiet evening stroll along the nearby oceanside beaches or have a family picnic in Mudford's Cove. From high up on the point you can watch the sunset, see icebergs in June, or listen to the sounds of whales in August. Just up the road you will find spectacular cliff views, beaches and hiking trails at historic Long Point Lighthouse. Travel 4km into nearby Twillingate and you can take a whale watching tour; go ocean kayaking; or enjoy the rich Newfoundland culture with some locally brewed award-winning beer, the Twillingate Dinner Theatre, or visit a Shed Party or Kitchen Party where you can sample local musical and comedic talents. Fresh blueberries can be found just about everywhere in late summer along any of the fifteen hiking trails, with a wide variety of terrain suitable for relaxed or athletic hikers.
Getting Around:
Driving is the most typical way that visitors explore Twillingate Island. That said, it is a walker/hikers dream. Whether you prefer the road or the trails, there is so much to explore.
Other Things to Note:
This property has been operated as a successful 5-star vacation rental for years. Ownership recently changed and the new owners have plans to maintain this excellence but also plan to add their own personal touch with some upgrades. Many of these will be in place for the 2023 season. Photos will be updated to reflect the upgrades in May 2023.
The new owners of Lands End trace their roots in Twillingate back to the early 1800s with ship's captains and shop owners, Anglican priest's and court judges. They have always loved Twillingate, are captivated by its tranquil beauty, and are excited to share this with their guests.

Living in Ontario but vacationing in NL. We travelled to Twillingate for a Dinner Theatre with a last minute booking. We were fortunate with last minute requests to find this rental on Vrbo. The host was very accommodating and the rental home was very clean. We were a group of six family members and were concerned we wouldn’t find a suitable place. Landsend was awesome. Thanks so much for the memories!

Property was beautiful, very clean, everything was wonderful! The only problem was the fact there wasn't air-conditioning and it was really hot the whole 10 days we were there. Your home is beautiful!

Lands End is super clean and comfortable. Nice to have a new washer and dryer to clean our clothes in the middle of our trip. The theater experience gave us a chance to get a feel for the humor and friendliness of the locals. And the pastries on the way to the lighthouse made for a delicious breakfast.
