This is a fantastic property, interestingly remodeled from an original very old house. Really cute! It had all we needed, well stocked kitchen, really easy to use outdoor grill, and great indoor and outdoor spaces. My favorite was a swing located down from the house in a lovely little flower-filled valley - perfect for an afternoon nap! Amazing laundry units (way better than my home ones!), lots of very hot water, and good water pressure. All around was a fantastic stay - highly recommend!
(Caveat - no small children or small dogs - the inside stairs might be challenging with little ones, and the outdoor deck is amazing but with gaps along the bottom that would make me really nervous with littles)

The home was clean and the view was great. 4x4 recommended, but one family member had a mini van and did make it up the hill. Close to attractions in any direction of the home. 😀

This property should not be in the rental pool in its current condition. The carpets are so dirty you cannot walk around the house without shoes on. There is a severe sewer problem causing horrible odor that makes it extremely difficult to be in the house. Before we could sleep the first night we had to spend an hour cleaning spider webs and killing spiders by the dozens. The window blinds are ripped out of the wall, just laying on the floor. We reached out to the Hoste company as soon as we arrived to let them know the home was in horrible condition and not cleaned, was asked to send pictures which I did showing the extreme dirty condition with visible pet pee stains in the pictures. I was told they would send someone out to address the issues and after continually reaching out to them, not a single thing was taken care of. They never sent anyone to assess the situation. We wanted to leave because of the lack of cleanliness and horrible smell but were 7 hours from home with no where else to go. The location of the home is fantastic and has potential but in its current condition should not be rented.

Great place to stay!

Though we had high hopes from the pictures, I can't recommend staying here at this time. Cute location, and structure but needs to have new carpet, and cleaned. Handyman work on the trim and doors is quite terrible. Smelled like mildew and pets, with many stains on the carpets and sheets. Washer smelled worse than the house so we couldn't even try to wash the sheets. Would have moved but nothing was available so we were stuck. If it were an inexpensive rental I might understand more, but at over $5000 for the week I would expect it to be clean, and no mold stains on the sheets. Lots of potential but someone needs to invest in the property if they are going to be charging rates like that. I would upload pictures but I don't see the option on this review.

We loved this little cabin, it was quaint and good for our needs including the setting and location. We did have issues with check in as the lock key pad was not working and the key pad would only lock if we entered the wrong pass code. Once we finally got in, the door would not stay closed due to poor latch alignment with the door jamb. Communications with the host were very good, they were very responsive and was able to send out their local handyman who fixed the door latch. Every time I needed to contact them, I spoke to someone very quickly who helped with the door issues. Additionally 2 of the beds had uncomfortable mattresses. Overall a great little place to stay in the Manitou area.

This house was truly a home away from home. Plenty of room, well kept and a great view! The only thing missing from the house is you! If it is available at the time of your trip you would be a fool to pass it up. The dog area was a great convenience.
Phil and Evan were great, quick responses when needed even very understanding when a wall hanging was accidentally knocked off and damaged.
We will definitely be looking for availability the next time we go to Colorado, would also be willing to plan our trip around its availability, it was just that good!
5 and a half stars!
