About this cabin rental

Our lake getaway is the perfect place for a couple who wants peace and quiet or a family ready for adventure. The large windows and French doors let you see mist on the lake in the morning, watch fishermen as they quietly pass, and see the first skiers enjoying the water. Magnificent lake views can be seen from every room plus a mountain view from most rooms, porch, and deck. Only 25 feet separate guests from the bottom deck steps to the shoreline. It may be difficult to access the lake for those with mobility issues because steps are along the path and down to the dock ramp. Our cabin is across the cove from the US Forest service property and at the deep water end of a wide cove off the main water of Lake Blue Ridge. We have a terrific year around lake view and access even during the winter when the lake level is down. There are two boat rental agencies on or near the lake and kayak, paddleboard, and canoe rentals also.

NO Pets allowed. No parties, commercial events or excessive noise as defined by the county short-term rental ordinance. We have strict policies in our rental agreement about quiet times so guests don't disturb neighbors.

The house comes fully furnished with almost everything you need from cooking supplies to linens. We provide soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, LP gas for the grill, coffee, tea, salt, pepper, and many spices. BRING YOUR OWN BEACH TOWELS FOR THE HOT TUB OR LAKE.

All holidays require a 3 night minimum stay except Thanksgiving which requires 4 nights.

The pictures look great, but there were issues. We were only 2 couples but the kitchen was so small & no counterspace. We had to get rid of cob webs from the fans, overhead lights, etc. The bedroom set up is not ideal. The loft bedroom upstairs has no door/privacy, & the view is ridiculous since the windows were so dirty you couldn't see out to see the lake. The blinds were torn/dusty. The bath had the towel holder coming off the wall. The master king on main floor/bath were fine. But the king suite downstairs was a joke. Concrete floors-not painted-just dark ugly concrete. There was NO door, just a curtain to pull as it's located next to the game room. It was dark, dingy/damp/moldy. We were so disappointed. The listing states shampoo, body wash etc would be provided. There were 2 little sample bottles and a little bar of soap-enough for 1 night for 2 people! We had to go get shampoo. The outside deck was nice, good furniture but was in need of yard work/cutting back trees for better views. The deck required alot maintenance as some boards were lifted up over an inch. We tripped on the deck! Also screws/nails were coming up and hurt the bottom of our feet. REAL SAFETY ISSUE. DON'T go barefoot on the deck. We have pictures. The worst-it was so HOT inside! It faces west-couldn't lower air below 72-it was locked. Asked owner for help-but said all was ok--NOT! The last morning we woke up to 78! VERY overpriced for the property. Only 10 we'd give is the view!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. My grandsons told us “Best Vacation EVER”. We canoed, ping pong tournaments etc. There was not one single thing we needed that was not already thought of for us. We look forward to staying again.

We had a wonderful long weekend on the lake. The cabin was clean, comfortable and exactly as listed. The view was incredible and we loved the dock, hot tub, game room, and kayaks. There were so many nice touches like the fully stocked kitchen with plenty of spices and coffee. We really enjoyed our family time here and will definitely return!

This cabin is absolutely amazing. We had such a great time and plan to go back this summer. The view is so spectacular, and we loved lighting fires each night and sitting on the porch with the fire pit. The boat dock is amazing. Communication with the property owner was outstanding. I would highly recommend this property and cannot wait to go back again.

This place was great to get away from everything. Quiet neighborhood with spectacular views. It's up in the mountains so beware of the drive up to the house. The road was a little small for my truck if I had encountered anyone else going the opposite direction. Luckily there wasn't any traffic the whole weekend. The house was great! It was very clean, spacious with 4 nice size beds. Great view from all 3 levels over the lake. It was overcast so we never got to see the sun but I'm sure it would have been stunning to see! Come here to get away from everything!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our after-Christmas gathering together. The house was decorated for the holidays, which was a nice touch. It was a perfect size for our group of 6 adults. We enjoyed the fireplace, the kayaks & canoe, the outdoor firepit, the games in the game room, and the hot tub. The views on the lake were spectacular! Great location for nearby hikes and close to Blue Ridge for dining and shopping.

The cabin is very very nice! We enjoyed our stay. Very clean but I would organize the kitchen a bit differently and remove some of the things in the cabinets that are are tired. Otherwise...we enjoyed staying in your cabin. Thank you.

Me and my wife rented to get her 3 sisters and one brother-in-law away for an enjoyable weekend together.we are all in our 70’s and we need to take time to get together away from all of our families and enjoy one another’s company. To reminisce and truly find out how we all are doing in this stage in our lives most important is to just have time together.

Lovely quiet lake home with beautiful scenery all around. House is just as described maybe better. Property fun to explore, floating deck to sit on and lively fall colors in the woods and hills. Well appointed kitchen and furnishings. Clean and well taken care of. There were only four of us but would be a great summer place on lake for a family, kayaks and canoes available. Owner wonderful. Close to town of Blue Ridge a cute town with a great Ingles grocery. Get groceries going in stores are 6 or so miles away.

It was nice to get away from the hustle of daily life. Home was comfortable. Weber grill was nice. Our exercise everyday was the walk to the lake. The peace and quiet of the cool crisp mornings and warm afternoons was a pleasant contrast. For those who are birders here is a list of the unique sightings or sounds : Red Tail Hawks, Bald Eagle, Pileated Woodpecker, Eastern Screech Owl, Mallard Ducks, Canada Geese, Red Bellied Woodpecker, Blue Jay

My lifelong girlfriend’s and I had an amazing time at this cozy house on the lake. It had everything we were looking for and did not disappoint. It was clean and the open area was perfect for cooking and hanging out together! Amazing sunsets and an incredible view of the fall foliage!

The overall stay was good. The home was equipped with everything you need for a cabin weekend. One challenge we had was the owner had locked the thermostat at 72. After sending several messages she refused to unlock it. We even offered to pay additional money to cover the electric bill. The common area where we spent most of our time had high ceilings and was very warm. There was no way to cover or block the large windows at the top. For the price point we just wish the owner would have been more accommodating.

Very clean. The lake is beautiful 😍. Very nice hot tub, comfortable bed, many different areas to hang out in. The stairs everywhere were a bit much 😳 there are 60 stairs to get down to the dock so having to make multiple trips is a killer! Also is not very handicap friendly. We had an amazing time though!

We have stayed at many VRBOs but this one was the most compete. The owners did a fantastic ensuring you have everything you couId possibIy need and want; but aIso, fIoods you with information on things to do, IocaI eateries, maps, etc. There was an issue with a neighboring property out of the owner's controI but yet she stiII was abIe to contact them and get it address quite promptIy so it was great to see how responsive and caring they were even when it was something compIeteTy out of their controI. TruIy great experience!

This property was wonderful. Everything about it is great. We used the boats daily, both to fish and just to enjoy the serenity of the lake. The home has everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels, dishwasher soap, etc. Since I will never be able to afford a home like this on the beautiful Blue Ridge Lake, I am grateful that the owners opened their home up to us to enjoy the beauty of nature at their lovely home.
