The entry of the main home opens to a spacious and inviting area that seamlessly integrates the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen, a chef’s dream, features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a generously sized island with a sink, offering ample space for meal preparation. The living area includes a large sectional sofa and a flat-screen TV, creating an ideal setting for movie nights.

All bedrooms feature en-suite bathrooms, TVs, and spacious closets. The first two bedrooms each have king beds, while the third bedroom includes a queen bed bunk bed with a single on top. The casitas offer queen beds and small kitchenettes for added convenience.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented Hacienda del Mar for 8 days in February 2024. For over 2 days we were without water due to a failure of the property's water pump. Right after the water was finally restored, we received a text message from the owner's agent offering a 2 night refund for the inconvenience($1631) When the refund didn't show up, we were informed that the owner would not honor his/her initial offer but would refund only $1000. In spite of repeated efforts by various representatives to have the initial offer honored, the owner refused. Beware of promises/offers made by the owner.

PROS: The house is spacious 2 casitas allowed extended family to have their own private space. The house was fully equipped with everything needed even chairs and towels to beach. TVs w firesticks. Comfy beds. Close proximity to restaurants and beach. The highlight was the visits from iguanas, howler monkeys, racoons, and possum. CONS: You will run out of water if staying w a large party or extended stay. Property is supplied with water via truck delivery (not city central system). Also, if you lose power, you will not have water since the system operates on a pump, and there is no backup generator. This is not disclosed in the listing. Unfortunately, we were w/o water starting Thu – Mon (~ 76hrs/3.2 days). Despite what the property management may say, this is a water delivery logistics issue. We feel 2.5 days could have been avoided (we aren’t counting the power outage) w frequently planned water refill deliveries to avoid complete water depletion. During this time, we had illnesses, had to ration flushing to only vomiting and #2, haul pool water for flushing, and buy jugs of water for cooking, dishes, and bathing. What’s most frustrating is property manager kept assuring water was going to be refilled soon. Had we known this was not a guarantee we would have left earlier. Also, disappointing/poor customer service is they promised compensation for the inconvenience. It's been over a week w no followup or apology. House was lovely, but this left a sour end to our stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stay was nice over all. The location was good for all our guests to stay occupied. Lots of maintenance issues with the house when we arrived. Hot water tank leaking, many lights didn’t have bulbs even. Air conditioning didn’t work. First 5 days of private stay we had constant maintenance staff letting them selfs in with no notice.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was beautiful, spacious and clean. We had a group of 7 and we had plenty of space. As with any rental there was a few minor issues but it’s how the property management handles the concern, my call or message was answered immediately and Tony was awesome and eager to assist us giving us recommendations to local restaurants and directions.
