Go for the view you won’t be disappointed

The view from our room was spectacular The hosts went out of their way to make us feel special , they went the extra miles

Would have been nice to have a window as we prefer that over air conditioning but it wasn’t an issue as we had a patio door , and it is an older building that has such amazing views

Schönem kleine Hotel mitten im Ort

Der Ort war Ende Juni sehr ruhig. Der Pool ist zu klein um zu schwimmen aber für eine kurze Abkühlung gut. Das Hotel ist sehr schön gemacht und mitten im Ort. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend gross.

Wir haben direkt vor der Stadt parkiert, wo die Parkplätze kostenlos sind. Das befahren vom Ort ist nur Abends nach 20Uhr und Morgens bis 11Uhr erlaubt. Rollkoffer sollte man tragen (ca. 500m) da die Strassen aus Kopfsteinplaster sind. Das Frühstück ist einfach gehalten (ohne Rührei und Speck) aber ausreichend. Unserer einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre, dass die Besitzer anbieten den Koffer mit einem Handhubwagen vom Parkplatz zum Hotel und wieder zurück zu bringen.

Estadia excelente num local mágico

A Casa da Dona Antónia é um alojamento mesmo no centro de Monsaraz. A sua localização é muito priviligiada, por se encontrar junto do Turismo, dos cafés, lojas locais e restaurantes. Foi feita a recuperação de uma casa de família de forma harmoniosa, mantendo materiais originais misturados com modernidade. Decoração de bom gosto e funcional. A casa tem história e isso sente-se, falando com a Dona Esmeralda, a funcionária e o senhor Carlos o proprietário. Ambos acolhedores, prestáveis, simpáticos e muito profissionais. Excelente pequeno almoço, com muitos alimentos caseiros e de excelente qualidade. Higiene impecável. Quartos bem mobilados e com climatização.

A única coisa que mudaria seria o tamanho das tolhas de banho, que se revelam relativamente pequenas.

toller Platz mittendrin in Monsaraz, ist zu empfehlen

schöne Lage mittendrin, bezaubernde Dachterrasse mit Blick in die Ferne, mein Zimmer sehr ruhig, gutes Frühstück, sehr freundlicher Empfang, schöner Zitronen - und Orangenbaum im Innenhof

die Zimmer werden mit Klimaanlagen beheizt, was ein ständiges leises Rauschen mit sich bringt, habe deshalb nachts abgedreht und dadurch war es am morgen etwas kalt (Dezember) wobei es auch darauf ankommt, in welchem Zimmer man ist, im Doppelzimmer meiner Reisepartnerin war es kuschelig warm mein Studio mit höheren Decken war hingegen schwerer zu heizen

A localização é fantástica ( dentro das muralhas do castelo ) , uma vista deslumbrante , o Sr carlos desfaz se em amabilidades , a casa aproveitada e decorada com muito gosto , desde a recepção ao jardim e piscina . Wonderful stay in the small town with gracious attentive staff.

The staff was super…helpful, accommodating and gracious. As we were driving away, the woman who cleans ran out into the road to give us a charger and adapter that we had left behind.

Great location and welcoming service

Hospitable and thoughtful staff. We brought a bottle of local rose to enjoy after walking the walled village and staff brought it back in an ice bucket, with wine glasses and extra ice to enjoy in a warm day by the pool.

Lovely stay!

The owners were very extending in helping us find transportation in an area where there are no Bolts and no Ubers and the taxi company in don’t answer the phone. Very hot in this area so it’s important to plan transportation carefully, we learned.

Charming guest house right in the heart of Monsaraz

Charming guest house well located right in the heart of Monsaraz with a small pool and a comfortable patio and terrace for relaxing. Stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The host, Carlos, was extremely helpful and friendly and provided us with lots of information and lots of insights into the area. Breakfast was delicious and included a variety of home made jams, pastries and cakes. A perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Honestly, I can think of nothing. It was a perfect stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to return.

The most beautiful views in a family-owned hotel

The owners are incredibly friendly and wanting to provide great service. The terraces and the views are absolutely incredible. The hotel has a family feel as it used to belong to the owner's grand-mother. Bathroom is modern and comfortable. Monsaraz is a very special town, it's definitely worth sleeping there rather than simply visiting during the day, it is magical when the shops are closed and other tourists aren't around.

Not much. The photos of the beach on the walls were a bit surprising given the context, but I'm being nit-picky.

Amazing location, within the castle walls. Amazing views from the patio. Great WiFi. Super modern room. Great breakfast. Staff super friendly. Had a small swimming pool.

Shower was a bit small. From the description of the room we booked, I'd assumed we get a private patio, but it was one shared with everyone.

Situation was lovely. Owners were delightful. Breakfast very good.

Firstly I want to say the house, location owners breakfast were all great. We asked for twin beds. Our room contained a double bed and day bed. I had the day bed and did not sleep well. It squeaked every time I moved and appeared to slope outwards. Also the bathroom was so tiny. Everything else was good. I also understand work is in progress so the tiny bathroom will go.

Very friendly host. Great location. Great breakfast. Freshly prepared Great view over the landscape and the village from the terrace.

The water in the shower doesn’t have a stable temperature.
