COMPLETELY RENOVATED (4/2023) second floor end unit condo directly on the ocean! Nothing was spared in this renovation. You just don’t get closer than this. Just steps away from the beach! There is also an oceanfront pool where you can spend the day soaking in the suns rays. Surf fishing is superb directly in front of the condo due to a large rock formation next to Fort Fisher.
**Maximum of THREE (3) adults**
Second floor, end unit directly on the ocean with the BEST views you will find on the island! Watch the sunrise from your private balcony. Just steps away from the beach. 2 miles to Kure Beach pier, 2 miles to NC aquarium, 5 miles to Carolina Beach Boardwalk. This unit has one bedroom with a king bed and two twin bunk beds in the hallway. Full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, Keurig machine (please bring k cups), toaster and all utensils, dishes and glasses. Unit has WiFi, Netflix and cable TV. TVs in living room and bedroom. Washer/dryer. We are stocked like a hotel with all linens and towels cleaned for you and ready before you arrive. We also are fully stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap and laundry detergent.
This condo is located all the way at the end of the beach strand by Fort Fisher. What that means is the beach is never packed. At times, you will feel like you are on your own private beach. If you prefer crowds, go one mile South to Fort Fisher Beach area or two miles North by the pier. Surf fishing is primo directly in front of the condo because of a large rock formation off of Fort Fisher. Just to the North a couple hundred feet, you will find one of North Carolina’s very few coquina rock outcroppings. The kids will be entertained for hours playing on the rocks.
**We highly suggest you purchase travel insurance for stays during the months of June through October, however the most active months for hurricanes are September and October. Refunds will not be offered for poor weather unless the property is uninhabitable**
**We ask that you please bring your own beach gear due to the lack of storage in the unit and gear continually disappearing**
**Pool typically opens early May and closes mid September. Closure of pool relates to weather and can change.**
**In the Spring and Summer, the beach is typically very plentiful. In the Fall and Winter, we can get what are called “King Tides”. These are extremely high tides due to the moons position with the earth. They happen monthly for about 5-6 days. Combine that with strong NE winds and you will have very high tides which can cause lots of sand to be removed from the beach, exposing sandbags that are mostly covered in Summer. There is still room to walk the beach heading north from condo. The beach replenishes itself VERY fast afterwards, so conditions can change in a matter of days**

I was traveling with my 2 yr old daughter who tends to get overwhelmed by crowds so I wanted a more quiet “lowkey” space and that’s exactly what I got. Kure beach has a homey vibe while the very nearby Carolina beach has a little more action, which was a quick 5 mins drive away. This was perfect for my needs. Also the Aquairium is like a little over a mile away so you’re as close as you can get if you’re planning on visiting. The pool was great. The neighbors were great. I met some cool people during my stay And the apartment, just perfect. Super clean, updated, and amazing view. I loved just sitting in thr balcony and watching and listening to the beautiful ocean. The condo is equipped with pretty much everything you need, which was wonderful. James is also a great communicator and responded practically IMMEDIATELY even when I contacted him for something small and even said “no rush”. He’s super responsive. Thank you James! I honestly wish I was able to book it for longer…but it was only available for the 3 nights of the week that I was off and able to travel. I’ll definitely be back and will be booking in advance for longer next time.

First vacation of a family of three and made all the more perfect by staying at this property. Everything exactly as pictured and by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Loved Kure and plan to make many more memories here in the future.

This unit was absolutely amazing! My wife and I have stayed in many vacation condo's over the years and this unit was by far the cleanest. Ocean views from the balcony were awesome and everything was as described in the listing. James kept us informed during the whole process and was great! Would definitely book at The Riggins again with James.

We loved the condo. It is the last set of condos on the island, which gets you right on the water, I mean like feet' away! There were lots of places closed since this was the off-season but we enjoyed the peace and serenity of not a lot of people. We enjoyed the many walks down the beach, on the trails, and seeing the unique rock formations in the ocean. We hated to leave and come back to reality.

This space is tastefully decorated and very soothing. It literally could not get any closer to the water! The parking and beach access being immediately next to the building is amazing. Everything was really comfortable and the view of the ocean is just incredible. Definitely the best sunrises one could ask for.

This end unit condo was tidy and beautifully decorated. The furniture and bed were very comfortable. A nice surprise was the the two person shower! The high tide is almost close enough to touch. Definitely "ocean front"! Gorgeous views and very relaxing location.

From the beach interior to the view, this beach rental is fabulous! It was well stocked with everything we needed including hangers and plenty of hooks for towels. Love the proximity to the beach and water, too.

We loved everything about the rental. The space itself is gorgeous- clean with lovely furniture. Sheets towels and everything we could need was provided- it was great to not have to bring anything with us. The view- oh my— watching the sunrise from the balcony was just beautiful. And when it was rainy we could still watch the waves from the sofa in the living room. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I loved this condo and location. We had not been away in a couple of years and rented this. Definitely as close to the oceanfront as we have ever been. I call it a little "Rodanthe". The beach was very quite and relaxing. The kitchen was well equipped and decorated perfectly. The surrounding area was perfect. Great food! Unfortunately, we made the decision to leave due to the impending storm and how extremely close were were to the water! We will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful few days!

The property is very clean and has a fully equipped kitchen, plenty of linens and helpful extras like laundry supplies, paper towels, dish cloths, a fan, and more. It is decorated very tastefully and the furniture is comfortable and looks very nice in the space. We could not believe how close the unit is to the water, an amazing beachfront property with a lot of options for a super nearby beach setup. We loved Kure Beach so much more than the busier Carolina Beach area, but it was nice to be nearby for more restaurant and bar options. We enjoyed the condo so much, we only ate out a couple of times and didn’t end up going to bars because we loved the relaxing area we were in, right next to the crashing waves. Freddie’s was amazing, be sure to make a reservation. We really hope to vacation here again!

What a beautiful spot-right on the beach and next to the pool! James was so fast to respond to everything and the place is clean. It is tucked away in Kure Beach yet very close to Carolina beach. We highly recommend staying here. You can listen to the waves 24 hours a day!

We had a wonderful time at this condo. Every detail was taken care for us. The kitchen and laundry were equipped with everything one would need. We have stayed in many places, but never stayed anywhere like this special.
Our week was full of sun and an ocean that was just a few steps. We made some great memories and can not wait to return.

The condo was nicely remodeled and provided the necessary conveniences of home. The owner provided clear communications that made check in and out an absolute breeze.
The cleanliness of the condo exceeded our expectations. The kitchen had all new appliances. The unit was equipped with a standard washer and dryer and not half size ones that we've typically had with past rentals.
The location of the condo was the closest we have ever stayed to the ocean. It made for a relaxing coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening. More importantly, it made getting to the beach with a toddler easy as the entry was literally right next to condo.
After spending every morning/afternoon at the beach and pool, we were able to explore the area by visiting the Kure Beach Pier, Carolina Beach boardwalk, USS North Carolina Battleship (Wilmington), ACL Railroad Museum (Wilmington), Ferry to Southport (departs from Kure Beach), North Carolina Aquarium (Kure Beach, Fort Fisth (Kure Beach).

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful property! The unit is exactly as described - very clean and perfectly decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the king size bed was super comfy. James was a great host, and we really appreciated the extra touches such as being fully stocked with all linens, paper towels, toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, etc. The location is seriously second to none - you couldn't be any closer to the ocean. It is an end unit so every window in the living area has an incredible water view. The balcony has comfy chairs for relaxing (it was our favorite spot when we were not on the beach!) We love Kure beach, it is quiet but also super close to everything. If you are looking for fun things to to when your not enjoying the beach, we recommend taking the ferry to Southport (neat little town) or if you don't feel like taking your car it's just $1.00 per person to walk on and enjoy the boat ride! Thursday night fireworks at the Carolina Beach boardwalk and Britts donuts are a must, and the Aquarium is super close and a fun place to go if you need a break from the sun. Make sure to get up early at least once to watch the sunrise! We will 1000% come back again, it truly felt like a home aways from home :-) Highly recommend, Thank you James for sharing your little slice of heaven!

The beds were so comfortable and to hear the ocean waves right out the balcony made it so wonderful and relaxing! I would recommend more lower seating on the balcony to accommodate everyone though.
We greatly enjoyed staying here for the first time and highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much. James made the booking, and check in process super easy. He even provided directions, an email of things to do and places to eat.
The condo was really clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked if you wanted to make meals at the condo too.

Where do I start? BEST view in town! Have never been this close to the beach. Everything was completely new and recently renovated. Nicer than my house! James communication was amazing and he really helped me out of a situation I was in. Thank you again!!
I recommend The Spot for food! And the waterfront stroll from the condo to Fort Fisher is nice!
We enjoyed chatting and reading on the couch while listening to the waves.
This condo had everything I needed. We met the cleaning service and she was incredibly sweet. Even helped a few of my friends out when they were in a bind on the last day.
Would definitely be back next time I’m in NC!
