About this cabin rental
This 6 bedroom, 3.5 bath newly custom-built log cabin nestled within the four-season Massanutten Resort boasts over 3,400 Sq Ft of sprawling gathering spaces, a modernized, fully-equipped kitchen, and luxurious bedrooms that will leave you wondering how you ever lived without this getaway in the first place! Savor the custom wood finishes, stone fireplace, large deck and a patio. In pretty weather you can have a BBQ on the grill, and in rainy weather, retire to the game room with its arcade style video game, foosball table and big screen TV. Whiskey Run Lodge is the perfect place to base yourself for a memorable stay enjoying the resort amenities just minutes away, while also savoring much needed time with your crew.

The driveway fits 5-6 cars depending on size. Extra cars may be parked in resort lots.
SURROUNDING AREA Downtown Harrisonburg and James Madison University are 15 miles from our home. Explore the fantastic restaurants, museums and shops downtown. The Shenandoah Valley offers many attractions including caverns, wineries and breweries. The closest Shenandoah River access is only 10 miles from the house. Enjoy tubing and kayaking during warm weather. The Swift Run Gap entrance to Shenandoah National Park, Skyline Drive and The Appalachian Trail is only fifteen miles away and offers excellent hiking opportunities.
This home is not affiliated with Massanutten Resort. However, it is located inside the community of Massanutten and minutes from skiing, snow and grass tubing, ice skating, two golf courses, indoor/outdoor water park, mountain biking, ziplining, putt-putt, go-karts, tennis, swimming, fishing, parks and more! You'll also have access to 30 miles of hiking trails. The pool is a community pool for the private homes in Massanutten. It is available for use by our guests from Memorial Day through Labor Day for $6/person/day (subject to change). Pool availability is subject to, and at, the discretion of the Massanutten Property Owner Association. Tennis courts are also located by the pool. Most Resort activities are available to our guests for an additional fee and should be booked online before your arrival, through Massanutten Resort's website. **Please note due to current COVID-19 decreased capacity restrictions, some activities may sell out in advance, especially on holidays and weekends. We cannot guarantee access to the amenities and amenity closure/availability is not a refundable cancellation reason. **
Outdoor surveillance is located on main entrance to the property. It is motion activated.
This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten property Owners Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including families with children, retirees, second home owners, and other guests enjoying their retreat.

Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 8 AM. Keep noise indoors during these hours.
No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents.
This home has designated parking at the home in the driveway.
Please keep all tires off the road.
Do not block fire hydrants.
Do not park in front of another property without written approval from VPMS.
There is an overflow parking area if needed, located at 4007 Peak Drive, Massanutten.
Buses, campers, and RV's may not be parked at houses or along neighborhood roads.
Parking rules violators may be subject to having their vehicles towed.
No open fires are permitted in Massanutten.
This is a high wildfire risk area!
Grills may be restricted during local emergency conditions.

No illegal substances are permitted at the home and open containers of alcohol are prohibited on any road or common area.
Pets are NOT allowed at this property.
Do not place garbage/trash outside, including on screened in porches, decks or carports. Trash attracts wildlife, which could endanger you and damage the property. All Trash must be taken to the dumpsters located at 4007 Peak Drive, Massanutten, at check out.
A minimum fee of $75 will be assessed if trash is not removed.
Trash should be removed regularly.

We stayed at this cabin for a 4-day weekend. There were 11 of us. The bedrooms were great and slept us all comfortably, but the living spaces were not large enough for us to all gather together in one spot. Some were in the basement, some at the front room with a couch and loveseat, and others at the table that sat 8 comfortably. We used the kitchen table for the other three family members, but it felt like the typical "kids" table away from the adults, except ours was rotating who sat in the corner/kitchen. The kitchen is cute, but not appointed for cooking several meals per day that serve 11 people. The refrigerator was a standard home fridge, and we did not have enough room for all our items for the weekend. We used coolers with ice to supplement. Towels are the smaller bath sized and pretty rough. Trash needs to be taken out to the bear boxes that are off site and not in the neighborhood. You must remove your trash before you leave. There is a motion sensing camera on the front door. Not too much for younger children to do at the location, and not really safe to play outside any where. The road noise is nearly constant as the cabin is located on a corner with a stop sign where the road T's. Another reason enjoying the outdoors was difficult. We did ask for the knives to be sharpened, a can opener, and a whisk as suggested for the next guest.

This is a beautiful house that's well-maintained, nicely furnished and clean. Bedrooms on three floors gave plenty of room for our extended family to spread out. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet, with lots of attractions nearby. The little kids in our group loved the lavender farm, petting farm and playground near the resort.

Lovely house, well equipped, perfect for our weekend away with friends. Host was super responsive and helpful during our stay. Would definitely recommend!

The stay at this home was everything we were looking for. It was very clean and the bedrooms were spread out and the kids had their own space. We enjoyed several mornings sitting outside, dinners around the table, and a family movie night. One thing to note, the floors were very thin to the point where we could hear cell phones very clearly from the rooms above. Not a huge deal but important to know if you have light sleepers or heavy walkers. Would visit this lovely property again.

Wonderful log cabin style house in the mountains - great for families with kids since Massanuttin Resort amenities are readily available as well as numerous hiking trails. Vacation Properties Made Simple was very responsive and professional, and communicated clearly and timely throughout the process.

It was a great place for our family of 14 to come and get away for my parents 50th anniversary. The place was perfect. We had plenty of room for 14 people. And the host was away there to answer any what that we had before we got there. Thanks for letting us use your place for our get away!

House was great. Newer build with interesting finishes. Loved the kitchen and plenty of room to relax. I would highly recommend for a family or friends get away.
