Summary:
Welcome to the Majestic View Canyon Condo - a family-owned mountain retreat in Mammoth Lakes. Expansive views of the Sherwin Mountains are enjoyed from this 1,500 sqft top floor, 3 BR, 3 bath unit at 1849 Condos. Best location right across from Canyon Lodge. Easy access to skiing and the Gondola to the Village.
This two-level condo is only a short 3-5 minute walk from the Canyon Lodge base area of Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, offering guests outstanding access to the Village Gondola and the base of Chair 7, Chair 8, and the Canyon and Schoolyard Express Lifts. Grab your skis or board each morning and take the short walk across the street to the lifts to enjoy 3,500 acres that peak at 11,053 feet, spend the summer hiking to Devils Postpile National Monument (15 minutes) or admiring the otherworldly vistas at Mono Lake (30 minutes), and plan a day trip or two to natural wonder-of-the-world, Yosemite National Park (45 minutes).
Convenient outdoor parking (for up to 3 vehicles) in front of the unit. Complex has excellent common area amenities - pool, 3 hot tubs (2 outdoor, 1 indoor), rec room (foosball, ping pong, fire pit) and BBQ/picnic area. Park your car and leave it if you like, as numerous shops, bars and restaurants are easily reached by the free shuttle system or the gondola from Canyon Lodge to Mammoth Village - both just steps from your door and free!
Spacious unit features new flooring throughout. Amazing living room boasts 18’ ceilings, recently remodeled fireplace, large flat screen TV, wifi speaker and pull-out sectional sofa, along with panoramic south-facing views of the snow-capped Sherwin Mountains. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine while relaxing on the window bench in the dining room, as you watch the snow fall out huge double-paned windows, which open to allow cooling breezes in the warmer months.
Chefs will enjoy preparing meals in our well-equipped kitchen, which features new refrigerator with ice maker, new microwave, electric range/oven, dishwasher, and garbage disposal, along with all the tools necessary to make a five-star breakfast, lunch or dinner. Let your culinary skills loose while utilizing the new kitchen counter tops and mobile kitchen island, which provides extra prep space.
After a long day on the slopes or trails, take a soak in one (or all!) of the 3 spas which are less than a 1-minute's walk from the front door. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available within the development for your snow gear, bathing suits and towels. Then settle in by the push-button wood pellet burning fireplace (pellets included) and enjoy one of our many books, DVDs or board games. When you're ready to call it a day, put the kids down in the bunk room which comfortably sleeps four (1 bunk bed, 1 twin bed and 1 trundle twin bed) and then rest well between luxurious linens in one of our two master suites (1 king, 1 queen), both with ensuite baths (both featuring tub/shower combos and soft towels). Note: top floor bedroom is technically a loft but is truly separate and feels more like a private bedroom vs. an open loft, however does feature a small, shuttered pass-through to the kitchen, so consideration should be given to potential noise.
Come winter or summer, you'll find a wealth of outdoor activities in Mammoth Lakes to enjoy including skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, sledding (sleds included!), snowshoeing, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, hot springs, golf, and tennis. The Neighborhood:
Mammoth Lakes is a quaint resort town in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for the Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain ski areas and nearby trails. The town is a base for Devils Postpile National Monument, a formation of basalt columns, and the soaring Rainbow Falls. To the north, saltwater Mono Lake is dotted with limestone towers and Yosemite National Park, with its granite cliffs and ancient sequoias, is within a 30-45 minute drive.
Majestic in scale and awesome in its natural beauty, the year-round adventureland of Mammoth Lakes is one of those rare places that you have to see to still not totally believe. The name speaks to the size of the mountains, the expanse of the valleys, the incredible number of crystal clear mountain lakes and the endless opportunities for adventure just outside your door. But what makes this place really unique are the surreal storybook scenes that drop jaws, spark the imagination and make every moment feel like a brush with the truly incredible.
Adventure is available year-round in Mammoth Lakes. In fact, there is a lot of debate about which season is best. During winter you can ski and snowboard Mammoth Mountain or take off into the wilderness on your cross country skis. When spring hits, you can ski and also celebrate the fishing opener in the same day. The summer melts away the snow, opening two scenic golf courses, roads to Devils Postpile National Monument, 101-foot Rainbow Falls and the gateway to Yosemite National Park. Some claim autumn is the best season because you get all of the sightseeing of summer PLUS spectacular fall colors and fewer visitors. No matter what time of year you visit, there are plenty of things to do in Mammoth Lakes.
You’ll definitely work up an appetite and thirst having adventures and exploring our incredible natural landscapes. Luckily, there are Mammoth Lakes restaurants for every palate. Whether you’re craving innovative brewpub grub, a perfectly prepared steak or delicious Mexican-Latin fusion cuisine, restaurants in Mammoth Lakes offer all kinds of deliciousness for you to enjoy during your visit.

We were very happy with the property - clean, spacious and with all the amenities you would expect. We will definitely book this property again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this place thanks in great part to the easy access to the ski slopes. The advertised 6-min walk to the Canyon Lodge is for real. The hot tub is right across the parking lot and is a great way to relax after a day on the slopes.
THe apartment is well furnished and clean.

Convenient access to canyon lodge and the pool. Great check in check out process and immediate response from owner.

Used this property as a base for a Yosemite motorcycle trip. It’s close to everything and roomy enough for 7 adults. The place was clean and quiet and we had no issues. I definitely recommend. Thanks for a memorable experience.

This was a great condo for us as we rested up before a backpacking trip into Yosemite. Well-maintained and clean, and the kitchen in particular had everything one needs to prepare great meals. We’d happily stay here again.

Nice location, had a relaxing few days. The property was well set up for families with lots of games, books and even toys.

Easy routes to view June lake and mammoth lakes. Beds were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay.

The place is fantastic. Great wifi. Great location for winter skiing, but a little far from spring skiing (the only spot to stay for walking distance to spring skiing is at the Inn by the main lodge). We counted seven beds, but one was a pull-out floor trundle, and another was a sofa bed. Two of the seven beds were solo in private rooms.
The beat things about the place are the homey accommodations, great view from the dining room, and lots of zip lock bags and containers for day food storage. So convenient! We were really happy to stay and the hosts are the best with communication.
We'd stay there again. Super awesome. Don't tell your friends so we keep a fair price. ;)

Great location-close to jacuzi , parking, lifts. The place was functional. A bit surprised how some things were run down though, and the decor could use lots of updating.
I will for sure stay again though

To begin, we had a wonderful time in Mammoth. The location itself was fine. The distance to Canyon Lodge was great. The view was fantastic. The condo was lacking however. We had to buy our own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and dish washing detergent. There were not sufficient towels, and no wash cloths were provided. Only 2 dish towels for 4 days were provided. There was no dish cloth or sponge provided. The refrigerator and kitchen cabinets were so full with personal items that we had no room to stock our own food items, etc. The housekeeping services prior to our visit was very lacking. We had to clean every pan, pot, and skillet prior to using them. We found dirty tissues behind living room chairs. There was dust and cob webs in the living spaces. But, the living spaces were sufficient. There were lots of games for the family to play. The dining room and living room were spacious. The access to the condo was good. The jacuzzis and recreation room was nice and comfortable.

We had a pleasant stay at this condo in Mammoth. We were seeking fall colors in the alpine lakes around the area. This condo is super convenient - the red shuttle stop is right outside the condo complex and Canyon Ski Lodge is just a half block away. I love the ski decorations in this unit. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, which was a huge plus for the two couples in my group. Having a third bathroom was essential for my group since we had five adults.
The living and dining rooms are spacious and comfortable, even for a large group. There are enough seats to gather around the fire or at the dining table. Every possible entertainment connectivity is available on the TV, along with bluetooth speakers.
HUGE PLUS - this condo has five Charge Point EV charging stations. It is on a private network, so you have to request the connect code from the front desk. Rate was $0.35/kWh.
On the minus side, this unit is a bit rough around the edges and it is showing its age. I am sure it is consistently occupied during the ski season. The third bedroom (with bunk beds) felt like a dorm room. There is just one light - not next to the single bed - so I could not sit and read in bed. There is no nightstand, so glasses and charging phone had to go on the floor. While I am OK with extra condiments in the fridge, it is rather unusual to see five different shampoo bottles in each of the bathrooms.
Having said all that, three bathrooms and EV charging were the deciding factor for me, especially at this price point. Despite the minor annoyances, I still can recommend this property.

Wonderful property in a great location. Very comfortable with lots of room and all the modern conveniences one would expect. We would definitely recommend highly and stay again.

This condo was exactly as it said it was! But even more surprising was all the comforts of being home. Fully stocked with spices, condiments and almost everything need to be comfortable without having to buy everything to cook a meal. We were traveling with small children and they even had games and toys for them to play with. The proximity to the lifts and village make this place primo for a Mammoth vacation. We were there in the summer and we were able to bike-out and bike-in from the mountain bike park. The trolley also runs right in from of Canyon lodge if you want to just park your car and jump on. We had 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 5-12 and it had plenty of room for all of us. I can’t say enough about this place. If you’re thinking about booking winter or summer. This is the place!

We had a lot of summer fun at Mammoth Lakes. We used this property for convenient access to activities at Mammoth Lakes and a day trip to Yosemite. The condo was spacious enough for five people and very comfortable. The windows and window seat provided a great place to have morning coffee and simply enjoy God's great creation. Perfect location, perfect condo space, and layout made our vacation great.

The stunning window view of the Alpine is breathtaking and captivating, the place is clean, the decor is warmth and cozy. It's definitely a gem for a family getaway, it has all the amenities and utensils needed, the three bathroom is the plus. It's so calming and relaxing just to sit on the long window seat with propped up couch pillows, reading or meditating or taking a nap or just staring and enjoying the outside view...... Our family of 5 have so much fun doing the outdoor activities in Mammoth and coming back to this cozy, warmth home away from home, we love it 💕💕💕
5.0
The place was really close to Canyon Lodge. The only thing was that we stayed during the Spring Season, so Canyon Lodge was closed.
There were 6 of us, and it was plenty of room. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the bathrooms were clean.
There were many different board games, Apple TV and puzzles. My family had hours of fun working on the puzzles. Few pieces were missing, so it was little challenging. :)
The bed upstairs was little too plush, but other than that, we had a great time staying in Nate's condo.
