Not only was it my first time staying at this hotel, it was also my first time visiting Warwick, NY. It was a short business trip, and the management of this hotel provided me with truly exceptional customer service. I had had a problem accessing the TV channels, and the manager replaced the cable box very quickly, in spite of constantly being called, on both the hotel and his smartphone, he took care of the problem much faster than expected.

Very friendly staff and family, location could not be beat. They were kind to us despite our very late arrival, and the room was warm and cozy. Included a fridge and microwave, which was an added bonus!

The bathroom had filthy corners on the wall. The wires on the tv and cable box were a bundle hanging on the wall, I had to trace them because they weren't plugged in properly. The room phone didn't work. Around midnight, neighboring rooms were banging on the walls and running between rooms, making a disturbance. I called the office (on my cell) to ask that they resolve the issue. Their answer was "They are customers, what do you want us to do? You (I) are welcome to speak to them directly, ask them to stop". Only when I threatened to call the police, they intervened, calling the room. The noise then stopped. Warwick is a beautiful, upscale town, this motel is no where up to those standards. Dont let the location fool you!!!

Hotel is alright for a short stay. Looks like a normal house. People are very friendly. Hotel is a family hotel. Nothing fancy. You get what you pay. Overall okay.

Had a very bad experience at the Hamlet Inn. After checking in, we arrived to our room to find that the door had been left open for an unknown amount of time (which according to the person at the front desk was to let it "air out"). The room itself was in poor condition, with broken blinds and grime in the corners of the room. Only one of the lamps in the room worked, and flickered every couple of minutes. The bedsheets and linens clearly had not been cleaned properly, as only two days after checking out my partner had to be treated for scabies. I would recommend to avoid staying here unless you have no other options.

We were told upon our arrival that the room we reserved on Expedia was no longer available and that we were getting a “lesser” room. Evidence of insects, extremely torn shower curtain, very slippery bathtub and damaged toilet. I realize this is a very basic, economy hotel and was not expecting luxuries but felt like a bait and switch

This is a decent place to stay. Its a nice area without much traffic. The staff is super friendly and kind. They do special order vegan Indian food which is really good. I wish the pool was functioning and there was a larger area for walking pets since this place is pet friendly. Its not the fanciest place but very convenient to local shops and eateries. Sheets and towels are clean, bed is comfortable. AC is excellent! Carpet could use a shampoo but its always vacuumed. If i didnt know the area i would think the pricing is bit too high especially when charging $25 pet fee each day but it matches the location so cant really complain.

The Hamlet Inn in Warwick, NY, was simple and satisfactory last night. No fancy furniture that I didn’t need. Just a wheelchair and a folding lawn chair. But the bed was comfortable, the TV worked, the air conditioning worked, and the microwave heated the leftover coffee from my thermos and warmed and softened a Long Island bagel. The price was considerably less than I thought I had signed up for.

It was adequate for what i needed. A place to sleep and shower. It was also in a close location to town and other things to do in the area.

Room was dirty. Stains all over bed, rug dirty, shower was dirty, soap in the shower was used, marks all over walls and ceiling.

The check in experience didn't feel welcoming, the individual at the desk seemed annoyed that I had a pet with me at check in and felt it necessary to tell me I was in the wrong for not directly contacting the motel to reserve a pet friendly room, I checked the box when booking with Expedia. There is a $25 pet fee which is not clearly stated on Expedia. I was informed at check in that if the motel was totally booked for the evening I would have not been able to stay due to not contacting them directly to reserve one of the few pet friendly rooms and that they could cancel my booking, this was stated to me 3 times by the individual at the front desk repeatedly as if said individual was annoyed or irritated.

This was our second stay at this property from a year ago. Last year, the property was under renovation and there were many issue with that stay. This year, the property was in much better condition and the current management were way better than previous management. We would stay here again.

I was impressed with my overall stay. I was greeted with a warm welcome when checking in which was pleasant. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed (even shampoo and body wash). I would definitely book again when I'm in the area.

The place is a dive. Supposedly it was refurbished and reopened under a new name, but i saw no signs of refurbishment. While there was a flat screen TV, it didn't work. The cable box for it was damaged and when I brought it to the front desk, they didn't have a replacement box to give me. There was no place to sit other than on the bed. There was no cup in the bathroom and no complimentary bottles of shampoo, and no bar soap. Just a couple of tubes attached to the shower wall, one marked body and one marked hair. I would highly recommend that NO ONE ever stay at this hotel.

New owners are doing a great job renovating this hotel (and it seems like they’re doing most of it by themselves!) One of few places to stay in an area that has amazing hiking, mountain biking, breweries, and restaurants!!!

I pre-paid for two rooms. At check in I was told that my reservation was for one room. I was also told that if I needed another room that they would extend the same price as I had paid for my single room. This was a scam to try to get me to pay for another room. I would like a rebate for the room I was not able to use. I have the receipts.
