About this docked boat rental

Welcome to The Boathouse! Outfitted with a washer, dryer, and dish washer you can have the conveniences of home while enjoying the unique experience of floating on the water. Take a seat on the deck and watch the boat traffic pass on the Clinton River. Visit by land or by water. The Boathouse is roughly a 25 minute cruise when traveling from Lake St. Clair by boat. The Boathouse does not leave the dock.
The space
The 3,000 sqft houseboat has two separate units each with their own private entrance. This unit has 2 bedrooms, 2 beds, 2 full bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests. Both units are available for rent either together or separately.

The space has wood floors, a redesigned bathroom, and brand new furnishings.

Please note the space does share walls with a neighboring vacation rental and an office space. The boat is located at a marina. Marina customers may also be on property.

This is the larger of our two vacation rentals. There is a larger deck space and more amenities such as a grill, dishwasher, washer, and dryer that the neighboring space does not offer.
Other things to note
*We can accommodate larger groups when desired. Please book the neighboring space as well here at The Boathouse if you would like to accommodate more guests. With both spaces we can fit a total of 8 guests. Each unit alone accommodates 4 people.*

Remember! You are on a boat and it does endure slight movement in rougher weather. The boat does not leave the slip.

Parking Details:
Parking is available in the marina parking lot. *When looking at the barge* please park on the left hand side on the road side. Please pull in, do not parallel park. Please message the host if there will be more than 2 cars.

Wonderful unit. It was just as pictured. Faced the water. The host Shannon was easy to work with and always responded promptly. Will stay again when we return to this area. Thanks Shannon.

This boathouse is super cleanly, spacious and perfect for a short stay on the Clinton River / St. Clair. It’s in a good neighborhood which is key in the Detroit area. We were fishing a few days on Lake St. Clair. The only reason I have this a 4 star was the paper thin walls between the units (there are two). When you’re fishing long days and getting up early, having people next to you blasting their TV until 4:30am and yelling / partying or arguing with each other is NOT fun. Unfortunately, that’s what we experienced with the renters next to us. Overall, it was fine and this boathouse is nice. The host was communicative and laid out all the details in a timely fashion.

Shannon was very responsive and helpful! The property is amazing. If you are in this area I highly recommend The Boathouse. Everything we could need was provided, not just a “starter” tp, paper towels, trash bags, ect…everything was provided for the stay. Excellent location for our sailing event. If you are bringing a boat she offered to provide a space for us. It is on the water so you do get some water “gnats” I would call them. Just keep the doors closed behind you and the blinds closed, they really are non existent when the sun is up and not a bother. The bedrooms and bathrooms are huge! We were a group of 4 (one couple and 2 singles). There was an air show during our stay which was an amazing bonus. They made sure people just pulling in to view didn’t take up our parking space. Everything was just above and beyond!!
