The property is multi-level, so you have great views of the lake through the trees from the house deck, and a completely different view of the lake when on the lower deck. There are stone steps leading down to the house from the garage/guest house as well as stone steps leading down to the lake. The last part of your drive to get to the house is a one lane dirt road with pull outs if you come across a car going the other way and our driveway is downhill once you go through the gate.

The entire house is accessible to our guests, with the exception of a few locked closets that contain personal items belonging to the owners.

If you're not already familiar with Flathead Lake, here are a few key pieces of info you should know. There are 185 miles of shoreline and 200 square miles of natural freshwater, therefore earning the title as “the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi”. In the summer time, Flathead Lake is a boater's paradise so even on peak weekends it seems un-crowded.

Polson is just a 20 minute drive by boat or car for all of your necessities. There are many islands to explore, Native American rock paintings to be discovered, glassy coves for waterskiing, and private fishing spots to claim. The lakeside communities have public access where you can pull in to the dock and walk to world class dining. Glacier Park is an hour away, if you can tear yourselves away from the lake. Overall we had a wonderful time and would return! The cabin is very secluded with a couple miles on gravel/dirt roads. The deck, dock, diving board, and direct access to the lake were all great! There are quite a few stairs to get down to the lake so it would be difficult for elderly people or anyone who has trouble with stairs. It’s also quite a trek back and forth if you need to use the bathroom or grab something from the cabin that you forgot. Inside the cabin was very clean, roomy, & comfortable, the furniture was all pretty outdated and “lived in”. It’s a charming home that made me feel like I was staying in my grandmas beloved lake house vs a sterile rental. We really enjoyed the large open kitchen and playing games on the big table. Besides enjoying the lake, I also loved reading on the upper deck first thing in the morning. On the negatives, the twin bed upstairs is not useable for anyone other than a small child (mattress was hard as a rock and felt like the bed frame was so rickety). And since it’s the only bed on the second floor, none of our kids wanted to sleep alone so it was a useless space for our family. All of the bed linens were very old and worn out. They were clean, but clearly very old. The outdoor furniture was also all very old and uncomfortable. Half the chairs by the lake were unusable. For the price we think that some new linens and new indoor/ outdoor furniture would go a long ways! Thanks for letting us stay and we hope to return soon.

What an amazing stay! The house was exactly what we expected and was fully stocked with everything we needed. The teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards and tubes! Laurie was an amazing hostess, answering my questions immediately both before and during our stay. We loved spending time relaxing on the deck and the dock. It’s a beautiful and peaceful location.

Parties need to know of the MAJOR INCONVENIENCES AND ACTUAL DEGREE OF THE CONDITIONS OF THIS VRBO rental. Vacation was planned some time ago for a rare family gathering . Price per night was extreme, but we understood this was a special occasion that we saved up for so splurged. The day arrived but began with much disappointment and work. Upon arrival, we were absolutely taken aback at the condition of the place. Not one thing had been done to prepare for our arrival. When we first walked in the door, debris was all over the floors. Laundry piled high, beds stripped. Many pillows were actually stained (YUCK). The kitchen counters, floors, sinks were all dirty. Dishes not put away, dirty tablecloth and much to our surprise, NO AIR CONDITIONING. This wasn't mentioned in the listing but ethically it absolutely should have been. The temperatures were over 100 degrees and you can imagine how uncomfortable we all were. Bathrooms GROSS. Fridge/freezer not working, water brown coming out. Ceiling fan broken, had to open and shut 39 windows 2X/daily for any air. Couldn't use 2 rooms as too hot to breath. Out of 4 full baths, 2 showers were useable, 2 toilets running, 3 when we left. Laziness with cleaning was apparent thruout the house. Light bulbs burnt out, rugs literally falling to pieces, BBQ filthy, NONE of outdoor furniture was set up or clean. Steps to lower dock broken and overgrown. Obvious ignorance & neglect from Hosts in maintaining their expensive rental,

We had an amazing time staying at this house. The pictures don't do it justice. It felt just like being at a family lake cabin. The amenities were plentiful, and the kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed all our meals on the spacious deck. This place was absolutely wonderful!

This is a beautiful property. The house is great. Direct lake access with a nice dock located in the middle of a small cove. I will admit the drive to it seems like you're going to a remote part of the lake. You are. That's the best part about it. I hope the host keeps this available for people to stay in. It really is nice. Arrange a place in Polson/Big Arm to park and launch your water toys.

Had an awesome time staying on this lake front property with friends and family. There is a large dock, lots of included water toys such as paddle boards, kayaks, etc. Plenty of room for socializing both indoors and outdoors. I would stay here again.
