I gave it five stars because that’s the highest, but as we laid on the patio furniture and gazed at the stars, it is hard to imagine how this property could be any better. Communication with the owner was super and we plan to be back!

We were on a mission to see the Perseids meteor shower, and our mission was accomplished in style! We had a very enjoyable stay. The backyard is perfect for star-gazing but we didn't want to annoy any neighbors with our late-night visiting so we went to the Sky's the Limit Observatory just two miles up the road and "ooohhhed and ahhhhed" at the meteors into the wee hours of the morning to our heart's content. This was the perfect "home-base" for exploring Joshua Tree National Park during the day and watching stars at night. There are plenty of fast-food restaurants nearby and the local casino has the Oasis Cafe that we ordered food "to-go" from, which was delicious and reasonably priced! The home was clean and well-stocked with everything needed. It even has a Pac-Man and Galaga video game console for those of us who grew up in the 80s, which was useful during the heat of the day when we hunkered down indoors.

This rental is absolutely amazing. The house is beautiful and clean! It has an everything you need to stay comfortably. It’s very easy to find and close to the military base if you are coming to visit someone there. I can’t say a single bad thing about this place, it’s just amazing. It’s very quiet, beds are super comfy, plenty of dishes for you to cook instead of eating out. It was just fantastic all around.

Beautiful well kept home. So clean and inviting from the moment we walked through the door. A comfy soace with thought out touches. We especially loved the old school PacMan aracade game. We had fun battling each other in the evening after a ling day in the park. We will be back :)

We traveled to Joshua Tree for two nights with our two young children, and the house and location were perfect. The house was clean and had all of the amenities necessary for a comfortable stay. Garrett was extremely responsive and helpful. We hope to be back!

Very clean and well appointed home with everything one could need. Only 2 miles from park entrance. Very quiet and safe. Recently updated with attractive decor. Great bed and excellent water pressure in shower, bathroom and kitchen. Highly recommend.

This property had it all - right by the wonders of Joshua Tree Nationsl Park, and 29 Palms. The house is terrific and charming with a large yard, patio and fire pit perfect for star gazing. The interior is lovely with lots of nice touches - even a vintage Pac-Man game with free plays!

My family and I stayed two nights at Garrett’s place, and we loved it! One mile from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park, and 5 minutes from a grocery store, gas station, and Starbucks ! Super easy check in and check out, we would absolutely love returning. Highly recommended!!

We loved the location of the property. Its proximity to the park entrance allowed us to get there early easily to beat the crowd, as well as to rest comfortably at the house between our morning and afternoon hikes. It's also conveniently close to restaurants and stores. The neighborhood is peaceful. The inside of the house is spacious and nicely decorated. Our kid had a blast with the arcade games. We appreciate having a dishwasher and a microwave-air fryer oven combo. We wish there was more lighting in the living room, as well as tea bags and a tea kettle for those of us who don't drink coffee (the Keurig is a nice touch for those who do). The yard is beautiful and comfortable. Perfect for stargazing.

This property is a delightful little gem. I loved that it's in a quiet neighborhood and has lots of empty space around it. The decorating is really nice, the kids LOVED the video game console and the adults loved the surprise view of the distant city lights at night. Easy to get to restaurants, shopping, and Joshua Tree NP. Everything is dialed in. We enjoyed our stay.

Desert Haze is a beautifully-appointed property in the perfect location for exploring Twentynine Palms and Joshua Tree National Park! We visited during the October 2023 Night Sky Festival—only a few miles from Sky’s the Limit Observatory and the JTNP entrance plus plenty of dining options in town and some grocery options, too. The finishes in the home are lovely—lots of marble in the well-appointed kitchen, glass tiles in the shower, two comfy king-sized beds and plenty of living area entertainment and seating. We all enjoyed playing on the cool 80s-style video game console after long days of hiking and nights of stargazing. The two outdoor areas are both lovely—we had coffee on the back porch (in mugs with statements on them that were eerily appropriate for each of us) and watched the sunrise. We ate dinner in the yard under the stars and loved the comfy seating and fire pit. Garrett checked in with us on the app just to make sure we were doing well. Overall, we are just happy this is where we stayed. It made our trip to have such a great place to land every evening! Thanks, Garrett!

I always love coming here. This is a lovely, elegant home, situated just out of the way enough to feel isolated from town amidst the surrounding desert splendor while only minutes away from restaurants and stores in 29 Palms. At night, the starry universe glitters above. Can’t be beat!

This house is five minutes from the entrance to the National Park, Tortoise Rock Casino, downtown Twentynine Palms and plenty of sun! We enjoyed playing Risk (Lord Of The Rings Edition) and all the Pacman, Frogger and Donkey Kong we pleased on the classic game console. It was pretty hot throughout our stay, but we managed to utilize the grill and enjoy some outdoor dining on a couple of nights. Overall, a really nice desert vacation while we visited our US Marine stationed at Twentynine Palms!

Beautiful, very comfortable home, which appears recently, and very tastefully, renovated. Large front windows to let in light and space inside, with a lovely patio in back and desert landscape dotted with ocotillos in front. This is a place for lovers of the desert; its quiet solitude, distant colorful vistas, and star-strewn night sky. I will be back.
