Welcome to Tranquility Luxury Lodge! Explore all that Calaveras County has to offer from your newly, extensively, remodeled rustic-chic lodge adorned with new, designer furnishings.
This unique cabin with its meticulous attention and stylish detail in every part of the house, sleeps to 6-8 people. Cozy up to one of 3 fireplaces in the home on chilly winter nights, enjoy a soak in the large sunken tub, or enjoy dining al fresco on the patio. Complimentary access to Local Pool and Big Trees State Park.
Visiting one of the many lakes near Tranquility Lodge is a must in the summer where you can swim, kayak and stand-up paddle board (available for rent in nearby Arnold).
Enjoy privileges at Big Trees Recreational Center (a private club you’ll have free access to) just 3 min away where you can swim in one of the 2 pools, play tennis, basketball, frisbee golf or bring the kids there to enjoy their fun playground, bocce, volleyball, horseshoes, shuffleboard and more!
The area offers so many year round activities …In the winter the snow capped trees tell you it’s time to get out the skis and head to Bear Valley Ski Resort (just 30 minutes up the hill) or to bring the kids sledding at a nearby snow park. Of course, many choose just to settle in at the cabin and enjoy the peace and tranquility found there. Relax in front of the huge custom stone fireplace while you're surrounded by windows that look out onto the forest or step outside and relax by the fire pit with a glass of wine after having a meal on the deck under the trees.
Fabulous living area with quality, comfortable furnishings, sit back and relax by the wood fireplace and take in the views! Designer kitchen with state of the art appliances and a gas range. Well stocked with the essentials to make your stay more enjoyable.
Two full bathrooms (shower in each), and a large stand alone tub in one. Relax and enjoy the view while being warmed by the fireplace. You’ll stay cozy by the fireplace in the primary bedroom or take on the fresh air on the private deck. The second bedroom also has access to the larger deck. The third bedroom is a loft with steep ladder access. Not suitable for for all ages.
A convenient fire pit for enjoying cooler evenings, ample deck space and outdoor dining, bbq, and outdoor lighting. Entertainment includes Smart TV, ping pong table, corn hole game, outdoor swing, board games, cards, books provided.

Pet Policy: This cabin is not pet friendly - If a pet is brought to a non-pet friendly cabin, there will be a $1,000 fee charged to card on file.
Payment (where applicable): A 2% surcharge (of the total transaction amount) will be added to your transaction charges when your credit card is charged. Upon booking, $300, plus the c/c fee, is due immediately and is charged to the credit card on file. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival (if you are booking a stay that is sooner than 30 days from the booking date, the full amount is due immediately & will be charged to your card on file). We will accept payment by check for the final payment, as long as your arrival date is further out than 45 days. If you wish to pay by check, please email our office immediately to advise us NOT to charge your card on file for the final payment. Please note that if your check is not received by the 30 day mark, your credit card on file will be charged, regardless of previous arrangement.

We all enjoyed our stay at Tranquility. The place was spotless, everything was updated very nicely, and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet.
The ONLY consideration for us not to go back with the Littles is the steep stairs up to the bunkbeds. IMO, the loft area is perfect for preteens/teens. Other than that, we highly recommend this cabin!!

We so loved our time at your beautiful cabin. We loved how quiet and peaceful the area was and the amazing outdoor spaces. So grateful for the wonderful air conditioning since it was so hot. The bedrooms and bathrooms were so well done. We loved the living room and the great big windows. Thanks again for being a fantastic host.

I travel alot for work and this is by far the best equipped and organized home I’ve stayed in. It’s beautifully decorated and the kitchen has everything you need for a perfect stay. It’s also nice that every light switch is labeled. lol it takes the guesswork out figuring out what lights work with what switch. The only thing that was a surprise is that the twin beds only hold 150 pounds and were too short and small for my 6’ son and my 5’7” daughter barely made the cut. I felt bad for my kids that I didn’t know this information. The deck is amazing and we spent most meals outside. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay

We enjoyed every moment of our stay in Dorrington at the Tranquility Luxury Lodge. We hiked in Big Trees, ate lunch at the Lube Room and ventured to the nearby Sourgrass Day Use Area in the late afternoon to explore the river. Our evenings were spent barbecuing and sitting around the fire pit enjoying the scenery. This was a relaxing and activity filled getaway!

We loved our stay at this property and really enjoyed our time here. It it lovely annd comfortable indoors and out and very well equipped. We loved the fire pit for morning coffee and evening time together and my college age boys loved the ping pong table too. The neighborhood was secluded and serene. Only bummer was that Big Trees State Park planned a controlled burn which made for a smoky day outdoors toward the end of our stay.

The most amazing girlfriend’s getaway weekend. Not a single detail was missed in this home. The decor, amenities, location and superior host accessibility made our stay perfect. We all agreed that we will be booking again.

Beautifully renovated and well stocked cabin. The kitchen was amazing, the beds were comfortable and the living room having doors so the adults could stay up and talk after the kids went to bed was ideal. The bathrooms were great and unlike many cabins even after 4 adults showered and the kids took baths the hot water still worked. It worked for us and the kids loved their loft, but the stairs were more ladder like than they had looked to me in photos, I would not recommend the loft for kids under 4 but for the elementary school age set it was “the coolest inside tree house ever!!”

The small details, a welcome package, accurate instructions and board games for the whole family really made our stay even that much more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back to stay!

It was a comfortable and cozy stay. Everything was clean and nicely displayed.
Check in and out was easily accessible and the Rosen family where friendly and communicative. It was also nice they provided plenty of snow gear to utilize.
It also was a nice location, where nearest town and food was a 15 min drive away!

We were pleasantly surprised by how wonderful and lovely the lodge was; it definitely exceeded our expectations. It is tastefully decorated, modern, yet charming with a well-equiped kitchen. We especially loved spending time by the deck firepit enjoying a glass of wine and the peaceful surroundings. The beds were very comfortable, and the master bathroom was great. The lodge is centrally located with a 15-to-20-minute drive to Bear Valley Resort, or shopping in Arnold, and other attractions. We hope to return in the future and highly recommend this lodge.

We had a fantastic stay at Tranquility Lodge. Check in and check out were super easy, and the house is gorgeous and comfortable. You can tell that a lot of care was put into upgrading the house. There's still a very comfortable mountain vibe but also luxury touches throughout. Having a/c in the summer made sure we were comfortable at all times.
Our group of adults were in town for a nearby wedding but we could easily envision a winter getaway, too. We would absolutely book this place again.

This cabin is as beautiful as it looks in the photos! Our family and our in-laws enjoyed our stay in the comfortable and luxurious accommodations. Kids aged 9 - 17 enjoyed the bunk room but had to be careful with the ladder up (as did us adults making sure everyone was going to sleep!).
Each room in the cabin was a joy to be in - pleasing to the eye and meeting every need. The kitchen had everything, which is so nice and rare in a rental. The deck was so pleasant to spend warm evenings on and the outdoor fire pit/table was a crowd-pleaser.
We appreciated and enjoyed all the amenities! The staff at the neighborhood pool made a point to remember our names. The kids (and adults) enjoyed innertube water polo, pickle ball, tennis, and movie night - it far exceeded expectations!
We will definitely be back!
