Secreted away in a cozy pocket in Seattle's Phinneywood area, this place was great for a family traveling on a workation. Within walking distance of good food (Try Yanni's, a short 15 minute walk away!), a nice zoo, a lake, and several nice looking pubs (didn't check them out, but they looked like the place for a brew), you can save some miles on the rental car and still have a great time. But if you've been to the Pike Place Market and got food for dinner, you're in luck, the kitchen is pre-stocked and ready for you to cook up a few meals! We had a great time and if we are ever back in Seattle, we'll try here first!

We arrived at around 10 pm and departed the following morning, so I can't comment on the surrounding area but it seemed very nice. Despite the proximity of a highway behind the house, it was surprisingly quiet, never knew it was there until I walked out the next day. The cleanliness and communication were commendable. However, I would advise against renting this place if you have mobility issues, as the rental is not the front door that you see in the photo but an apartment in the basement, accessed from the back down some stairs on uneven dark terrain. It's quite charming, but had my mother been with us, we would have needed to find alternative accommodations. The property description should clarify this aspect. Additionally, I was unaware of tenants living upstairs, but fortunately, there was no noise disturbance at all. I felt bad for walking around the house trying to find the entrance in the dark, but I never saw anyone! This is my first time renting an short term rental on Expedia, I had to send them a deposit and ID, I understood why but it was somewhat of an inconvenience as hotels do not require that.

We absolutely loved our experience at this location. My only wish would be that the advertising mentioned that this is a lower unit below another. There was a lot of noise (sounds of child and/or dog running)pretty early in the morning from the upstairs unit and would have liked some outdoor seating, but everything else was perfect.

Although the listing says "ENTIRE HOME" this is a basement unit with what appears to be two units on the upper floor. There was limited lighting for stairs and walkway after dark. There was alot of street noise. The shower in the upper unit leaked into the basement onto us while sitting on the sofa, so we texted and emailed the owner who said they were calling the upstairs unit to tell them they did something wrong with the shower. Each time they showered we got rained on. There was also what appeared to be mold growing in the closet. Otherwise house was clean. There were nice amenities like spices, coffee, and soap. The location was convenient for the park and zoo.

It was dark going down the stairs at night. Had to use my cell phone flashlight to see the stairs.

It says I had the whole house to ourselves, WRONG!!!! We were put in the basement with POORLY maintained walkways. I fell 3 times coming in at night because there was NO lighting. I was in the bathroom and I heard a man on the phone, and no man was there with us. The person above us I heard him talking to someone and snoring when I was trying to sleep. The mattresses were NOT comfortable, I thought they just gave us box springs to sleep on. The properties company that takes care of the unit, you can’t understand them because English is NOT their first, second or 3rd language. I want my money back. I was making the weekend special for my family and my 87 year old dad had to walk on uneven pavement EVERYWHERE!!! I want my money back, Expedia should cut ties to these so called rentals.

Immaculately clean, extremely convenient, quiet, comfortable. The payment process seemed a bit clunky but that was probably because I was unfamiliar with it. Overall very satisfied and highly recommend.
