Laut Bildern ein eher luxuriöses Haus - tatsächlich ein etwas geräumiges Gartenhaus

Die Lage am Fluss war super. Fern ab von Menschenmassen, zumindest jetzt im Herbst. Die riesige Glasfront war sehr toll und hat somit vermittelt mitten im Wald zu sitzen. Der Kamin war wunderschön, nachdem wir die Scheiben geputzt haben und das Feuer dann auch sehen konnten. Die richtigen Betten waren bequem und wir haben alle gut darin geschlafen. Man konnte schöne Spaziergänge in beide Richtungen entlang des Flussen machen. Die weisse Dünne war wundervoll zum Sonnenuntergang.

Allgemein ist die Unterkunft höchstens für vier Leute ausgelegt. Unsere Kinder haben auf der Couch geschlafen, diese zwei Teile, die man dafür zusammen schieben musste, sind immer wieder auseinander gerutscht. Das dafür vorgesehene Bettlaken ist viel zu klein gewesen. Ablagemöglichkeiten im kompletten Haus fehlen. Keine Schränke für die ganzen Klamotten aus dem Koffer. Leben aus dem Koffer mit Familie wirklich unschön und stressig. Waschbecken in beiden Bädern viel zu klein. Im obersten Bad ist höchstens Platz für eine Person im Bad. Auch das ist nicht für 6 Personen ausgelegt. Das Bettzeug ist für Oktober dann schon sehr dünn gewesen, leider waren keine dickeren Decken oder extra Wolldecken zu finden, über Nacht hat sich das Haus ohne Feuer wieder sehr schnell ausgekühlt. Geschirr, Besteck, Gläser und Tassen nicht ausreichend. Der Geschirrspüler hat das Geschirr dreckiger gemacht, als wir es rein gestellt haben. Stühle am Esstisch hart und unbequem, der 6. Stuhl ein anderer, war viel zu hoch für den Tisch. Ich habe dann die Zeit auf einem Hocker gesessen. -Licht an der Dunstabzugshaube defekt. -Türklinke von innen defekt- ließ sich nur durch aufschließen von innen öffnen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Mit etwas mehr Pflege könnte man einen guten Standard aufrecht erhalten, aber hier fehlt etwas die Liebe zum Detail. Die Strände sehen auch schon lang nicht mehr so wie auf den Bildern aus. Stege sind kaum zu betreten, da das Holz sehr kaputt ist. Auch die Sitzmöglichkeiten auf dem Steg waren vielleicht irgendwann mal so. 😔

Exceptional

1) Host extremely helpful and kind, always online to help with accommodates. 2) Sleeping was very quiet and nice. Air comes nicely cool in the evening due to river nearby and forests around, even when air was very hot during the daytime. 3) Place is very beautiful. River, forests, walking path along the riverside upto the mouth of Lielupe and "Baltā kāpa" dune (recommend to visit at dawn). 4) Easy to access from Riga. Actually surprisingly close both to Riga and Jurmala, but seems a completely remote place. 5) Very nice and quiet bridge-fishing in the evening. 6) Small sandy river-beach is 50 m at the very house. 7) Good place for sup boating or just boating if You bring one with You. Bank is not regular and interesting to explore from the river. 8) House has a spectacular huge window, which makes it very romantic to spend the sunset in front of it. The garden is the one to rest and cook meat outside. 9) Kitchen and all other accommodates are fully equipped for comfortable staying or even living for a longer period, like vacation.

1) Better to have a car, since no local stores are around. The closest is 2.2 km away in Priedaine, which closes early in weekends. Better take everything with You in advance. 2) Riverside comes popular during daytime in summertime weekends, however is almost empty in the mornings and evenings.
