Nothing short of exceptional
The Hilton Yala is probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The facilities are exceptional and they are accompanied by hyper professional but warm and friendly staff that only enhance the stay. Anything you can think of the Hilton Yala has it, even down to the personalised buggy trips from the main complex to you room. My partner has a peanut allergy and the head chef made us feel super comfortable eating his exceptional food. The Safari was amazing. We saw a leopard, elephants, water buffalo and crocs to name a few. The experience was buoyed by the expert knowledge of the ranger. Although this hotel maybe expensive, I can promise you, once you arrive you will realise it is amazing value for money. We even extended our stay!

Absolute perfection!
Hilton Yala is a stunning hotel, newly built and with every detail of the highest specification. Our pool villa was spacious and beautifully designed. The grounds are immaculate and the expansive pool is incredible. The real selling point of this hotel however is the staff and the amazing service. Every single member of staff we encountered on our two night stay was friendly and helpful. You really get a sense of a hotel that want you to have the best stay possible and will go out of their way to make sure that happens. We were lucky enough to go on a morning safari with ranger Praneeth, who was so intent on finding us the elephants we wanted to see that he extended our safari by an hour to ensure it happened ! In the end, not only did we see a herd of elephants but a leopard too. It really is a magical place and we are already planning a return trip.
Nothing not to like other than lack of a swimmable beach. But this is a hotel in the middle of a national park and the focus on wildlife (and the amazing pool) more than made up for this.

A once in a lifetime unique 5-star stay in nature with a state of the art facility and some of the best hospitality and
The Hilton Yala was a very unique state of the art property in the middle of a National Park! The hotel grounds, pool, architecture, and overall layout were stunning and something we haven’t experienced before. However what made this one of the most memorable experience for us is the amazing and ever smiling staff right from the reception, kitchen, and room service staff. Their executive chef was always there smiling and greeting the guests which made this super special!
Activities on the property were limited unless you booked a Safari or an outdoor activity. Would be great if to expand the activities on the grounds especially to kids.

Amazing rooms, but poor overall experience
Probably one of the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in, very spacious and amazing amenities.
Unfortunately the nice room is let down by most other things in this hotel. - staff: although on the whole very welcoming and friendly, some of the front office staff unfortunately are not well trained, it took us nearly 30 minutes to check out because I was paying in US$ and it seems they weren’t sure how to process the payment and exchange rate. - facilities: there is a decent pool, spa and gym, but for families with kids there’s absolutely nothing to do in the evening. - food: both dinner and breakfast are a la carte, which is not ideal after a long day of Safari. The food itself is hit and miss though the chef is very friendly and made an effort to welcome us upon arrival. We had to wait for around 5 minutes to be seated at breakfast as the restaurant was as full which is understandable and happens in plenty of hotels, but the fact that there was a large table which was ‘reserved’ and we were told we couldn’t use as a group was coming shortly and only to see it still unused when finished eating was quite disappointing. - general lack of attention to customers: during one night stay we encountered multiple instances that made the experience rather negative- i.e., buggy taking 20 minutes to get to our room for check out, being charged for a broken water glass in the room (this in particular was shocking to me, the charge was only ~ $3 but it was rather odd to be asked to pay for something that was broken by accident). It’s a real shame that the amazing experience of the rooms does not cascade to other parts of the property, I hope that it was just our bad luck that we had these somewhat underwhelming encounters with the staff as I really wanted to like this hotel (esp as a loyal Hilton member) but I just couldn’t.
