Pondmead is a beautifully presented four-bedroom thatched barn conversion, peacefully located on a working farm in a rural setting near the West Devon village of Monkokehampton. Set amidst attractive rolling Devonshire countryside with glorious views of Dartmoor National Park in the distance.
This spacious holiday home comfortably accommodates up to eight guests and showcases rustic beamed ceilings, a cosy living room, well equipped kitchen, a large garden and three bathrooms. The living room is furnished with comfortable seating, a Smart TV with Freeview and an LPG gas wood burner, the perfect spot to relax and watch a film after a busy day exploring Devon. The well-equipped kitchen offers a sociable breakfast area where you can all gather to tuck into a hearty breakfast and plan your activities for the day ahead. The ground floor is completed by a handy utility area with a fridge/freezer, washing machine and a shower room. Head upstairs to discover the four beautiful bedrooms which are each furnished with comfortable beds. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and the family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath offering the choice of a relaxing soak or a refreshing shower. This wonderful home-away-from-home has a large lawn, outdoor patio space and seating area, and is a lovely spot in the evenings to enjoy the setting sun with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand.
This beautiful holiday home benefits from lovely countryside walks close by on Dartmoor and Exmoor, and cyclists and walkers are well catered for in the area with the famous Tarka Trail within easy reach, as well as The Granite Way. Iddesleigh, Hatherleigh and Winkleigh are just a short drive away and offer shops and pubs.
The outstanding surfing beaches of the North Devon and North Cornwall coastline are an easy drive away for a day out, with sandy shores and sheltered coves to explore including Bude, Saunton Sands, Croyde and Westward Ho!
