nette Gastgeber, sauberes Haus

Das Haus liegt eine gute bis anderthalb Stunden außerhalb von Vancouver. Es war unglaublich viel Verkehr und wir haben wirklich lange gebraucht, bis wir hier waren. Es ist aber leicht zu finden. Parken kann man in der Einfahrt vor dem Haus. Aber Vorsicht, die Einfahrt ist sehr steil. Und beim Öffnen des Kofferraums sind uns dann unsere Sachen entgegengefallen. Das Haus ist recht neu und hübsch gemacht. Im Eingangsbereich hat es eine Küche und ein kleines Wohnzimmer sowie ein Badezimmer. Oben dann zwei Schlafzimmer und ein ganz kleines Extra Zimmer, sowie nochmals ein Badezimmer. Soweit war wirklich alles vorhanden. Das Haus ist angenehm sauber. Nachdem wir angekommen waren, kam der Vermieter auch gleich aus dem Nebenhaus zu uns. Er stellte sich vor und fragte, ob alles in Ordnung sei oder ob wir noch irgendetwas brauchen. Die Vermieter waren sehr bemüht darum, es uns angenehm zu machen. Sie schickten zahlreiche Nachrichten. Hatten uns auch etwas Wasser und Süßigkeiten bereitgelegt.

Das einzige, was ein bisschen schade ist, sind die Sitzgelegenheiten im Wohnzimmer. Ein Sofa und zwei Stühle ist ein bisschen wenig für einen entspannten Abend mit mehreren Leuten. Das Haus liegt zwar etwas vom Highway entfernt. Dennoch ist es relativ laut - auch in der Nacht. Es fahren viele LKWs in der Nähe vorbei und es war seltsamerweise auch so etwas wie Baulärm zu hören. Schade finde ich auch, dass sehr viele Fenster mit Sichtschutzfolie zugeklebt sind. Ich kann verstehen, dass der Vermieter gerne etwas Privatsphäre zu seinem Grundstück hinüber hat. Dennoch ist es nicht angenehm, nicht aus den Fenstern schauen zu können. Und es fühlt sich ein bisschen ungastlich an. Auch fehlt mir - neben dem Blick nach draußen - die Möglichkeit, mal raus zu sitzen, draußen zu essen oder einfach nur den Abend zu genießen. Es gibt zwar zwei Stühle auf dem Schotterplatz vor der Eingangstür - aber das ist keineswegs gemütlich. Zumal man direkt auf die Straße bzw. die Kreuzung schaut.

such a spacious place for my family! quiet area. friendly owners. a home away from home feel, which I loved. quick and easy check in, and friendly greeting as soon as we got on the property:)

No blinds downstairs on windows so no privacy & it got extremely hot inside

It was ok

The beds were comfortable and the home clean.

The photos were a little deceiving, I had the impression it was a lot larger than it was. Living area is small and uncomfortable. No mention of how steep the driveway is or how steep stairs are in home. Definitely not suitable for persons with mobility issues

Hidden extras

Quiet, clean,

When we arrived, we were told there was additional $150 cleaning fee, and we had to pay all up front, plus a $500 damage deposit. We got the deposit back when we left. 3am the owner was at the window looking in, creepy!! We could not even check out the inside before forking out almost $1000. There was no mention of the $150 cleaning fee or the $500 deposit when booking thru booking.com. I feel like we should receive the $150 back as I feel the was unfair and a hidden extra
