Great place to meet people.

The stuff and the vibes and the offered program was amazing. It was comfortable and clean. Loved it.

it takes you about 20 minutes from the main road to get there. That was kinda a bit annoying especially in the evening, cause the road was not the best. And the food was a bit expensive, still ok tho.

Bestes Hostel in dem ich bisher gewesen bin!

Die Mitarbeiter waren alle super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zudem ist das Hostel einfach nur mehr als schön und jeden Abend gibt es Veranstaltungen, wo alle mal zusammenkommen. Essen ist auch top.

Die Badezimmer waren nicht komplett sauber und ein wenig schimmelig. Ein Föhn hätte gestellt werden können und die Preise sind für Hostel Verhältnisse recht hoch. Zudem ist das Hostel von allem weit entfernt und die Straße zum und vom Hostel war eine Katastrophe (wird aber erneuert!).

Bellissima struttura. Ottimo luogo per socializzare. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Vengono forniti i contatti per prenotare molti servizi (taxi,escursioni,snorkelling,diving)

Distante da tutto, ultimo tratto di strada per arrivare piuttosto impervio. Ristorantino dell’ostello comodo per non dover andare a mangiare in città tutte le volte, ma i prezzi sono abbastanza alti. I bagni andrebbero puliti più spesso.

A little paradise hidden away great spot 👌

Good vibe friendly staff, clean and there was always hot water, the food was tasty also although I did think the taco portion was pretty small on taco night, 2 tacos were gon in 3 bites cant be me thats a fatso 🤷🏻‍♂️

The bumpy road I guess was a little annoying but would still stay again.

Best Hostel, best people!

The best hostel I’ve ever been to. I saw people writing this in their reviews and it is just so true. The layout and the pool is amazing, the food is super good, beds are comfy, but what really makes this hostel special is the people. Josh, Jordi and Sam did a great job creating a very welcoming atmosphere here. All travellers live together like a family here and have a good time together. You can explore the beautiful island on a scooter in the morning, and then go back to Penida Project to hang out with everyone. They also have 2 dogs, one of them a puppy. So adorable! If you visit Nusa Penida, you HAVE to come here :)

Property is completely new, everything looks amazing and works perfectly fine. You can really see all the love the staff has invested into literally everything. The rooms are always super clean, and despite staying in a 10 people dorm, it was always very quiet due to the concept of the little sleeping cabins in the wall. They have great food (especially the pizza🥰) and the drinks are simply lovely! The staff is always, and I mean it, always super kind and try their absolute best to fulfill whatever wish you have. You can really see that they love what they are doing and that they are driven by the satisfaction of the people staying there. I loved my stay there and extended twice, despite I initially had other plans, simply because the staff, the place and the vibe were absolutely fabulous!

There is nothing to dislike at this place, everything is amazing!

Best place for solo traveling

10/10 for sure! Very social hostel, both brothers and there lovely dad, George ;) make you feel home for the very first minute. I really enjoyed my stay. The beds are very private and felt so soft. The best place for solo traveling. And really loved the dogs

Heerlijk verblijf

Het hostel ziet er top uit. Voelt niet aan als een hostel. Mooi zwembad en gemeenschappelijke ruimten! Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en helpt je met alles.

Je kon helaas nog niet met creditcard betalen. Begreep dat ze hiermee nog bezig waren. Goed om te weten vooraf. Maar verder niks!

Best hostel I’ve ever been to, be sure to check it out.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in during my 6 month tour of Southeast Asia. It’s brand new and everything about it is top notch. Josh and Sam have done a great job and this is truly a hostel you could stay at for a few days without wanting to leave the site. However, they are great at arranging any trips that you may want to do. Nice pool, great dorms, clean bathrooms. Food is fantastic and there’s a great, social vibe. The pool table is ace and the puppy is adorable. 100% recommend.

Lovely place with great atmosphere !

The staff were super lovely and so friendly ! Food was so yummy too and the general vibe of the hostel was so nice - very sociable hostel with trips and tours and lots of people to meet :))

Awful roads to get there but that’s like the whole of the island !

Great hostel

The owners and staff are so great. They're very helpful and super chill to talk to. The pool table, dartboard, basketball court and pool make it a really nice place to hang out at. Not to forget to mention that the food they serve is amazing. Highly recommend the Penida Project if you're on Nusa Penida.

Brand new social hostel

Brand new hostel and you can tell. Great capsule beds, modern bathrooms (powerful + hot shower), new pool table and swimming pool + basketball court. Open plan hostel so good for socialising with others + the Aussie owners are always happy to help. Have to try the pizzas & dumplings too - Western standard of cooking ! Will be back for sure !

Best hostel in Nusa Penida

Amazing place and amazing hosts. Joshua and his family are exceptional in hospitality and will make sure you have an amazing stay. The property itself is big and beautiful. Large pool, big dorms and comfy beds, big and clean washrooms, lots of area to socialise and play games. And food here is amazing as well. I'd say the best hostel in the whole of Nusa Penida!

Best hostel I’ve stayed at in Indonesia by a mile!

The rooms, facilities, atmosphere, people and food were all absolutely awesome. The whole place looks stunning, probably the best hostel I’ve stayed in in Asia for all of the above. Brand new, great location and easy to book tours and hire scooters from etc. Everything you could want from a hostel!

Absolutely worth every cent! Stay in Nusa Penida with a never-ending smile!

The food and beverages were phenomenal. The staff always had a sense of pride and joy about their role within the team. It was a buzzing atmosphere with cleanliness and presentation I've not experienced in any hostel I've stayed at prior. There's plenty to do at the hostel, and the beach and shops are only a 5-10 minute trip. One of the best kept secrets on Nusa Penida!

The road leading into the hostel could do with some TLC, but that's not within the control of this facility.

Built by backpackers for backpackers

What a great place! I loved having a comfortable mattress in a roomy capsule. It gave me some much needed privacy after backpacking for so long. The drinks and food were insane. The chicken dumplings were the best I've ever had. Pizza was elite! I don't normally drink tiki drinks, but the Lost Paradise made me change my mind. Such a gem :)

The team were still waiting on the Eftpos machine so I had to pay cash. But they said it will be in soon. Other than that couldn't fault it, amazing hostel.

Best hostel on Penida! Best food.

I heard about The Penida Project from some friends and thought I’d check it out. Josh and the team are such great hosts. My favourite thing about the hostel is the food! The chicken burger is the best meal I had on my month of travels. The pool, pool table and bball court made for a fun time. The sleeping nods were comfortable, air conditioned and private. Will be back!

Best hostel on Penida for solo travellers and friends.

I absolutely loved this place! Easily the best hostel on the island. The facilities are super modern and clean. The beds are comfortable and with the curtain it makes it super private which is ideal for sleeping. The pool is awesome and the floating beanbag will call your name as soon as you get there with one of the frozen strawberry daiquiris !! I forgot my wall adapter but they have USB plugs by the bed which was a win as well. The food is delish, the best pizza I’ve had in ages. I didn’t have one meal I didn’t like. The cocktails are also dangerously delicious and affordable. All the staff here also go above and beyond to make sure you’re enjoying your stay and will help you with renting scooters and booking tours etc I’ll definitely be staying here again!
