About this house rental

Our family owns the ferry service to Cumberland Island. The cottage pays tribute to the Ferrys that have taken passengers to the Island for the past 30 years. The Cumberland Queen was the first ferry. The current ferrys are The Cumberland Princess, The Cumberland Lady and the Cumberland Queen II. We have two original wheel house windows from the Cumberland Queen that were salvaged after it sank during hurricane Irma in 2017. You will have a two block walk to board the Cumberland Queen II on your visit to beautiful Cumberland Island. You will have views of the St. Marys River from your front porch and bedroom 2. The back patio overlooks the History Walking Park. Many restaurants and shops are within walking distance from the cottage.

This townhome has recently been renovated with new appliances and furniture. Each bedroom has a full bath and smart TV. There is a half bath downstairs. Fully stocked kitchen with new appliances and washer and dryer. Dining room accommodates 4-6, also dining on the patio. Large smart TV in living room, free high speed internet. Seating on front porch with river views.

This cottage was as great as advertised. It was so beautifully decorated and perfectly appointed. We had everything we needed for a delightful stay: fluffy white towels; crisp, clean sheets; well supplied kitchen; several cozy indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing. The cottage was conveniently located to all that St Mary’s offers and the hosts provided great information on all the restaurants and local happenings. I would definitely stay here again.

We greatly enjoyed staying in Amy's beautiful rental! She fully accommodated us on the busy fourth weekend; early check-in, reserved parking, fireworks view from her deck, and easy walking distance to the C.I. check in and ferry dock!

We stayed in the Cumberland Queen Cottage for the golf tournament weekend! It was so convenient to the waterfront and restaurants in St.Marys, we walked everywhere. The cottage itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. Especially enjoyed the front and back porch for coffee and reading.

Could not have been better. Such a convenient walk into historic st Marys and the Cumberland island ferry. Immaculately furnished and clean. I was very surprised to find soap like a hotel provided, that is not common among rental properties. Also easy parking, we drove to Jekyll and Amelia Island as well which was a piece of cake. The only thing that could be better would be larger beds. But regardless, I want to visit St Marys again, and I am going to plan my trip around making sure I can stay here. It really made the trip fantastic.

This house was amazing! All the comforts of home while on vacation. Located in downtown St. Mary's, easy walk to all of the shops, restaurants, and waterfront. We will be staying here next time!

Very clean. New. Cute! My only critique would be a king bed is needed in one of the bedrooms and an upgraded mattress would be better. Also a grill cover would be good.

I recently stayed at this property with my two best friends. We were there over a weekend to visit Cumberland Island. We all agreed that it may be the best rental we've ever stayed. The property is so well decorated and stocked. The rooms were all so comfortable and clean. There has been so much attention to detail put into this place. I would love to come back and stay again some time. We could not get enough of it! We all kept saying how much we loved it. Everything was walking distance. St. Marys is a true hidden gem.

This place was awesome. St. Marys does not have a lot to offer however, this place is amazing because it is affordable, super clean! I mean you could see where someone vacuumed and the smell when walking in the door just was amazingly fresh. Never stayed somewhere so clean! It was a short walk to town and to the Cumberland ferry. Would recommend this for couples looking for a quiet weekend getaway. My 8 month pregnant wife and I stayed here for a weekend trip and we would definitely come back in the future. The host left us a sweet note on arrival telling us how thankful she was to have us and recommended some things to do. This would be a great basecamp place for a couple or a two couples who want to go and see things within a hundred miles. Such a gem! Highly recommend locals seafood all you can eat shrimp from 2-4pm!!!

The house is lovely and inviting! The neighborhood was quiet for out stay. The park directly behind the back yard was nice. Pier directly across the street was beautiful in the evening. The town was nice and quaint. Things seem to shut down around 9pm this was not an issue for us. Of course Cumberland Island is beautiful and full of history. We were there on a holiday weekend so we did not have time to see all the local museums like we wanted, we this was expected. The location of this property is great and allows for a quick walk to town so no need to get in the car and drive, when you want to get dinner or just spend a little time exploring. Not a review for the Local Dockside, but great food!

Cumberland Cottage is one of the best places we have stayed, and we rent a lot of vacation rentals. From the moment we walked in it felt like home. Everything you need was available and it was very clean and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of the downtown area where you can eat, shop and relax. We cannot wait for out next visit to the area.

This rental had everything we needed: location was perfect, complete comfort inside the home and no detail left spared. We have been to St. Mary's before but now we will only stay at this location. You can walk/bike to the Cumberland Island Ferry and the downtown shops and restaurants. The area offers many birds (songbirds, raptors, water birds) in the front and back yards. Jekyll Island was a perfect day trip (about an hour). The Langs are well-invested in this area and are sure to make sure you have a pleasant stay. This may be our new Spring Break spot!

This townhouse was so well located and so beautifully decorated. It was a real pleasure. Everything we needed and more. It is definitely in the top tier of places I've stayed. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area. Walk to the ferry to Cumberland Island and on the way back, stop for dinner at Local Seafood. Quiet, comfortable, and really, really nice.

Without question the nicest place we have rented. Location, cleanliness, wonderful owners. We would rent there again in a heartbeat! Peaceful and quiet yet walking distance to several restaurants. Very cool to walk out the back and be in a park. Just lovely!

We enjoyed our stay in St Mary’s and at the cottage. Everything we needed was right at the property and the hosts even added some extra decorations to make our stay feel like Christmas. We had asked if the place had a grill and the hosts bought one for our use. The house was super clean, beds we’re comfortable and no shortage of towels, blankets and sheets. Everything we needed was right there and it made our stay feel very much like we were at home. The hosts even delivered firewood for the fireplace even though we never got to use it. I recommend anyone stay here and you will be within walking distance to the St Mary’s waterfront where there are restaurants and shops to explore. The hosts were very responsive and made our trip most enjoyable. We will definitely return for our next visit.

This property was wonderful to stay at. It was in a nice neighborhood but still close to downtown. It was nice that the host has things in the pantry that you may need but do not want to buy due to a short stay such as paper plates, napkins, extra foil and plastic baggies. There is plenty of living space. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return again.

This cottage exceeds all expectations. It was clean and the hosts had provided everything you would need for a comfortable stay. It is conveniently located close to the Cumberland island ferry. The town of St Mary's is a lovely town with plenty of things to see and do. I would highly recommend Cumberland Island Cottage.

We scheduled a quick trip to GA from NY to see our son who is stationed at Kings Bay. This was our first time not staying in a hotel. I’m so glad we found this cottage! It is in a wonderful location. The setting provided the opportunity to relax and visit with family and not feel penned. All amenities we could have ever needed were available. The cottage is bright, clean, and very comfortable! The property manager was readily available if I had any questions. I highly recommend this property and hope to have the opportunity to stay again when we visit St. Mary’s!

We visited st. Mary’s and Cumberland island for our anniversary weekend getaway. Cumberland island is well worth the visit and highly recommended. St. Mary’s is a very quaint little town. The townhome we stayed in is literally walking distance to every thing!! We only used our veh to go to Walmart for supplies. The downtown area is very nice. All the restaurants are locally owned and very good. Very comfortable causal attire and reasonably priced. There are a couple bar type locations but the town is very quiet and pretty much shuts down about 10 or so. The town home was very clean and welcoming. A lot of attention to detail and a lot of effort made to accommodate your stay. Abundance of towels and toiletries, as well as snacks and water are available. There’s a nice deck out back. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!! I can see us planning our trip around available dates of this condo!
