We planned a Family Reunion for the immediate family with 15 of us filling the Lakeside Home. We never felt crowded. The large kitchen and recreation rooms provided plenty of room to spread out or have family get togethers. The 4 girls ages 10 - 16 loved the bunk bed room and the 3 master bedrooms worked well for older adults providing privacy and comfort. The others spread out in rooms of their choice. The dock was more than adequate for docking the boat and water toys while providing a safe swimming point for the kids. The hot tub was clean and in constant use. The fire pit was a hit with smores being toasted in evenings by the lake. The location was perfect and restaurants plentiful with good food and service. We sited deer and even a bear as we hiked in some nearby trails. We only had one glitch in our stay and the management company was very responsive. A water heater failed and they had a plumber out and fixed the problem the same day. As we all went back to homes as far away as Texas and as close as Florida, we all recounted the many unforgettable memories made in the Georgia Mountains. It was the perfect place for a week away from home.

This property feels like a family home generously shared. The decor was fascinating and we wanted to know the stories connected with many pieces. It looked like someone who lived an interesting life had lived there. Our large family loved staying at this very comfortable home, and the quick response to any of our questions related to property or procedures was definitely appreciated.

The house was in a great area and had superb views of the lake. We loved being able to immerse ourselves outside and relax with the sounds of nature. The home itself is pretty dated, but bustles with cabin-styled decor which is standard with lake houses. The kitchen was stocked, but could be better stocked for those who planned to cook at the home their entire stay. (ie more pots and pans or cutting boards) Main Bathroom downstairs had standing water in the shower and seemed to be clogged. Bathroom in the single bedroom downstairs didn’t have any water pressure and essentially dripped water. Rusty nails were found all over the deck on the main level. The house was extremely hot when we first came in and took hours to cool down - which is okay, but recommend turning on the AC a few of hours before guests arrive. Recommend adding more chairs by fire pit and potentially some chairs on the deck too. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay and really loved being surrounded by nature + Lake Chatuge!

Beautiful house that was 59°F upon arrival. We arrived at 4:30 PM and the trash it’s still not been collected. Potato chips were on the floor. For the premium price we paid over the holiday, I expected better. We were in town for my mom’s funeral.
