Our first tiny home experience and we loved it! Thank you for your hospitality!

The property was nearly brand new, well stocked, beautiful furnishings and decor and a very responsive and helpful property manager/owner. This is a very spacious tiny home and we loved it for our first experience! Also...There is an EV charger across the street (walkable) if you are an EV user and that was really nice for us and tons of things to eat and do nearby.

There really is nothing to not like! The AC unit upstairs wasn't working properly but we made do!

This newly renovated property is on it’s way to being a really adorable mountain retreat.

This is a newly renovated motel that added cute “tiny homes” to their property. I am not sure what the motel rooms look like inside, but the outside was cleaned and freshly painted with great care. We stayed in one of the “tiny homes”, which was brand new (and had a brand new smell). It was EXTREMELY well appointed with a complete kitchen, beautiful bathroom with a nice, large shower and very comfortable king sized beds (3). It is little, so you have to keep in mind that there’s not a lot of room, and walking sideways around things is going to happen. The upstairs loft has a low ceiling - but seemed very cozy. All the amenities (soaps, shampoos, conditioner, towels, etc.) and all kitchen necessities were perfect. We did have an issue with the internet and TV connection - but I am going to say that was probably due to the newness of the property and the ongoing landscape construction. I am sure they will get this issue corrected soon. The management staff was always available - that was very comforting.

With all that said I also want to mention a few things that I think that would make this updated property really special and take it to the next level: 1. Prepare a notebook/binder for each room with things like: wireless connection and password information, best way to access TV, info on local restaurants and important places of interest, etc. 2. Have the old motel parking lot re-paved. 3. Landscaping needs to be a priority. Place large planters with seasonal or perennial plants along the front of the motel. This may be in the future plan - I hope - because it would really transform the front of the old motel giving it a more high-end feel because it still has an aged/dated look. 4. Surround the “tiny homes” with perennials (i.e. hydrangeas). The Retreat on the Lake is barely on a lake so landscaping and plants need to be a focus. 5. Name each of the “Tiny Homes” instead of giving them generic alphabetical letters (A-F). - Name the cottages something quaint, like: Mountain Laurel Cottage/Hydrangea Cottage/Wild Azalea Cottage, etc…

Room is clean. Nice woodwork and cabin theme. Management helpful via text messaging.

No host physically present, will buzz you into your room by text message. Keyless entry, climate control and TV hard to operate. Room is tight. No breakfast as expected. Neighbors TV could be a problem. Not too soundproof. $15O a bit steep.

Worth the price for a quick over night. We have we needed.

Exceeded our Expectations!

Our camper lost power so we quickly had to find a place to stay in town. We could not beat the price of this place! It has a nice cozy cabin feel, comfortable bed, very clean, wifi and smart tv. Exceeded our expectations!

It took a little while to figure out how to work the thermostat, but once we figured it out, all was well.

Nice room if you are just looking for a place to sleep and go.

The room was very nice, and clean.

Have someone there to help with issues. We had a hard time getting into the room whenever we returned. no where to sit, It would be nice to have a table and a couple of chairs in the room to sit at. TV we could not find any local TV channels or live sports on the service they were using.

Lovely accommodations.

Very nicely decorated, uncluttered, and clean! The beds were comfy with nice bedding. We would definitely revisit!

Car noises. We were aware of the area ahead of time. Not a deal breaker for us, but it is loud in the early mornings with work traffic.

Good location rooms are great they are large and decorated nicely bath room is large shower was awesome the walls are real wood so the room has a fresh cut wood smell one of the best rooms we’ve ever stayed in

Stairs to the 2nd floor are a little narrow and steep I have a bad knee and had to be xtra careful on them

The room is very impressive 👏👏👏 When I walked in it felt like I’m in a summer cabin , the looks , the smells , awesome ambiance … the staff / Mr. Chad whom just happened to be near the place has gone above and beyond to help me out get settled in , because my phone died and can’t retrieve the info I needed .

The motel sign is not visual like a good landmark, there was one , which I just noticed before I checked out … it will help if there’s one that shows coming to the opposite side of the Main Street . Location wise it is great 👍🏼 Restaurant/ cafe diner kind are walking distance and there’s Ingles close enough if guest need last minute things and foods .
