The perfect place to acclimate.

What a tranquil and welcoming property tucked away from the hustle and bustle in the sacred valley! Rudi and Claudia were exceptional hosts. They were so friendly and hospitable. Dinner was fantastic and they even accommodated my friend’s vegan needs. Our room was gorgeous with an amazing view and balcony. The bed was cozy and warm. We ended the evening next to the fire, gazing at the stars with Túpac the Llama. Rudi even arranged a few guided tours for us that were absolutely perfect!

Our driver had a bit of trouble finding the place via google maps. The Waze app however got us there.

Fantástico

Es espectacular. La habitación es bellísima, súper limpia, cómoda, decorada con mucho gusto, igual el baño. Es más bonito que en las fotos. El hotel es pequeño, solo 4 habitaciones + 4 nuevas que habrá en el futuro, por lo que el ruido es inexistente. Solo oyes la naturaleza, el agua y los pájaros. El entorno es todo naturaleza, el río, la montaña. Descansamos increíble, la cama más cómoda del país. El internet funciona 10/10, nos sirvió para teletrabajar y hacer videollamadas todos los días. Les recomiendo que coman en el alojamiento, Claudia la dueña cocina maravilloso, cada día nos hizo platos distintos y todo estaba riquísimo. Nos preguntó por nuestros gustos y nos cuidó mucho, ya que íbamos un poquito enfermos. En la noche, Rudi, el dueño y pareja de Claudia, enciende una hoguera y una barbacoa donde ver las estrellas. Jamás vi la Vía Láctea taaaan bien sin telescopio ni nada! Y como detalle final: Tupac ❤️ la llama-perrito de la familia. Es súper curioso y cariñoso, siempre quiere estar donde hay gente, y siempre está mirando ver qué haces. Te recomiendo también acordar con tiempo las excursiones para poder tener a Rudi de guía en la montaña, te contará mil cosas y es un apasionado de estar en el monte, se las sabe todas. Nos encantará volver a alojarnos aquí si pasamos por Perú.

Lo único que lamentamos es no haber podido estar más tiempo.

Increíble experiencia.

Fue una experiencia increíble haberme hospedado en Spiritoftheriverlodge. Es un lugar mágico, rodeado de increíbles jardines y bosques. Junto al río sagrado de los incas. Habitaciones super hermosas y amobladas. El baño es un lujo rodeado de jardines aereos y en medio de la naturaleza. Claudia me brindo la mejor atención y ayuda en todo momento. Tupac (la llama).juana y bingo son las mascotas más amistosas. Un delicioso desayuno 😋 y mucho paz. Recomiendo 100% este lugar a todos los amantes de la naturaleza y el lujo. Muchísimas gracias por tan linda experiencia. Volveré pronto.

Lovely rustic location and wonderful hosts, but some notable issues.

Lovely location (scenic and rustic), and the owners are wonderful hosts. They cooked and served us a delicious dinner after 10pm the first night when our flight got delayed into Cusco. The lodge itself has a very nice cottage vibe to it, and it was apparently built by the owners/hosts from the ground up, so they deserve a lot of praise for that. The rooms were comfortable with plush rugs and comfortable beds. The hosts also helped us bring our heavy suitcases up the stairs since one of the rooms was on the second level. Tupac the llama in the yard was delightful and a big hit!

The bathrooms are a little detached from the room in that you have to go across the porch next to the room door, which is open to the elements (and any prying eyes). There was no hot water in the bathroom sink. My wife and daughter both had to shower with cold water because they forgot to turn on the hot water pump on the second evening. This should not require human intervention really, and certainly my wife and daughter were both very unhappy about it! There was no trash can in the room, and only a space heater (no AC). There was a large fern that was rather awkwardly placed near the bed. The cash-only requirement for room and incidental charges, though specified up front, was a pain since we had to carry extra cash or go find an ATM. Finally, although the dinner on the first night was delicious and most welcome, some indication of the price up front would have been nice.
