Our casual 4 bedroom and 2 bathroom is perfect for those just looking to kick back, relax, and enjoy the island lifestyle. Fully stocked kitchen, large gated driveway for security and privacy, outside shower, outdoor furniture, washer/dryer, and more for maximum comfortability!
In the summertime (when waves tend to be the smallest), snorkel and swim out front or just enjoy your day basking on our gorgeous, white sand beach. During the winter, stay and watch the professional surfers out front, and catch a glimpse of the passing whales! Depending upon the waves, the beach out front and the surrounding area may fluctuate. Conveniently located, Historic Haleiwa Town is a short 8 mile drive, while Turtle Bay Resort and its numerous restaurants and activities (including golfing, horseback riding, helicopter tours, spa services, etc). is only 5 miles away. Other nearby activities include hiking, surf lessons, dive adventures, ziplining, sky diving, ATV tours, etc. Enjoy strolling our bike path, which stretches for 3.5 shady, lush miles and connects a handful of famous beaches, and leads to several local's-favorite food trucks, the ever-popular Ted's Bakery, and Foodland (our local grocery store).

The location of the property was amazing. Back windows and back yard overlooked the beach and the Sunset Pipeline surf break. Surfers very close all day long with big waves. Not a good swimming beach.
The house was not very modern, like a bungalow. Bathrooms and kitchen were minimal. We were expecting a little more.
We had an ant problem, sewer problem that the landlord was attentive to. problem with the garbage being full when we got there that was never resolved. back bedrooms of the house that faced the main roads have no glass in the windows and it was very noisy in the morning with traffic.
Don't expect too much if you rent this place. We still had a good time with the right attitude.

To start, the property had an issue just two days before arrival so we didn't get to stay in this particular house. Dave Sterman resituated us in another property on the beach and it was great. He took care of all our needs to get us comfortable due to the unexpected change of the properties. He went above and beyond to settle us in. The house was smaller, but felt more like home. The neighborhood and neighbors made you feel at home and like a local. The house was recently redone. It has no central AC, but Dave set up some portable units in the bedrooms and that was plenty. Thanks! Dave can be reached at www-dot-DavidSterman-dot-com The location we stayed was on Waialua Beach. Great snorkeling, sea turtles, an off shore nice little break, outdoor showering, volleyball court, and deck.

They didn't let us stay here.

Our family only takes a family vacation every couple of years. Our children are getting older and this may be the last. I couldn't have asked for a better spot for our family to call our "home away from home". The location for us was perfect. We love to get away from the crowds and emerse ourselves in the area as if we are locals. We were able to cook on the grill every night. There were even people that came to remove the coconuts and trim the palm trees while we were there...didn't bother us at all, made me feel like it was home and atleast coconuts didn't drop on our heads. :) Fact: more people are killed from falling coconuts then shark attacks!! We enjoyed watching the surfers right out the back door while sipping coffee and loved running down to the water every chance we had. Participated in the TAO LUAU which is just down the street and gives you access to the Waimea valley and falls for attending the luau Highly recommend if you are a family that likes to find a "home away from home".

We had a great stay. Waking up to see the ocean out of the window is wonderful. North shore food trucks and shopping not far from house. If we get the pleasure of coming back, we would stay here again.

Great location. Can't beat the views. Very easy check in process. There is a bunk bed but no ladder to get on the top bunk.

CONS: (1) SEWAGE BACKUP: Unfortunately, we experienced a heaving sewage backup after a rainstorm, there was poop all over the bathroom, it came into the hallway, and was all over the outside of the house. It was horrific and completely consumed an entire day of our stay. The host did refund us for the second half since we had to leave and find other accommodation (2) INACCURATE LISTING: NOT a true four bedroom home because bedroom with twin beds does NOT have any windows. There is no second escape route if there is a fire. Stay in that closed box at your own risk. Also, there is not a king bed on this property, they are queen beds only (3) BEDDING: The pillows are pancakes, the sheets are loose and stained. There are no extra blankets, pillows or linens if needed. (4) MISC: The screen doors were a pain to open and close and constantly falling off. We only got one roll of paper towels for an 8 day stay. Bunkbed room- no closet or dresser. Queen bed room- no closet or dresser. You have to put luggage under the bed to walk. Showers are tiny, good luck shaving your legs. I would never stay here again. PROS: Location, location. You have direct access to the beach, the backyard is lovely, Parking is easy and fits three cars. Walking distance to Teds Bakery and Sunrise Shack. Kitchen was clean. The views were beautiful. Ocean sounds at night. Outside shower.

We had a great time at this beach house on Sunrise beach. We had a beautiful view from the living room while drinking our morning coffee. Our teens loved playing in the waves out front. The waves were low during the week we stayed there. There were lots of beach towels, beach gear, and an outdoor shower to rinse off. BBQ dinners on the deck followed by sunsets in the beach every evening. It was magical!

Property was as described. Clearly a well loved beach home with amazing access to a beautiful beach and awesome sunset views. Would definitely go again.

Great Location! Some of the lights did not work. One Queen bed was too high for normal persons hight. There were only two full baths, No half baths as advertised.

This was a very convenient location for the North Shore. We went in October so it was not a good time for swimming because of the size of the surf, but it was a great time for watching surfers much braver than us and beautiful walks on the beach. Swimming and snorkeling areas were a short drive away. Also the Polynesian Cultural Center is close and a highlight. The property is older but well maintained and great for 6-8 people. We would definately consider going back.
