Front garden with garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 5 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a step in the garden and an unfenced pond. . Great for larger families and friends offering a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort, making it a place to create wonderful lasting memories. The drive leads up to the detached farmhouse which is surrounded by rolling fields, and fenced paddocks with grazing horses, the lawn garden surrounds the home, with an unfenced pond. It provides ample space for outdoor activities and offers plenty of private parking.
As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere oozing farmhouse charm and character. The spacious living room has an inglenook fireplace, which takes centre stage, creating the perfect spot for gathering around a crackling fire on cooler evenings, with large comfortable sofas, perfect for enjoying quality time together with good conversation or watching movies. The farmhouse kitchen is a blend of tradition and modern convenience to provide a practical space for preparing and enjoying meals. The dining room has a large table, perfect to seat the whole family and celebrate any occasion in style. Offering five bedrooms, each with its own unique character. A very spacious master bedroom includes an en-suite bathroom, with a bathtub, and walk-in shower cubicle, a further kingsize double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, another double, a twin, and a full-sized bunk bedroom. The family bathroom offers a walk-in shower. The lawn garden sweeps around the home, with a patio terrace for outdoor dining.
Excellent walking from the doorstep, with quiet lanes, trails and Peddars Way to explore. An 8-minute drive is Watton and 15 15-minute drive to Attleborough, each having supermarkets, shops, cafés and restaurants. Visit the amazing North Norfolk coastline with excellent sandy beaches, coastal path, RSPB nature and bird reserves which are 40 miles away. Also close by, visit the Sandringham Royal Estate, 34 miles, and 23 miles away is the city of Norwich, with many shops, a cathedral, theatre, castle museum, market square, cafés and restaurants. Wroxham, the capital of the Norfolk Broads, is 32 miles away, with daily boat hire and river trips, shopping and waterside restaurants. Newmarket and Cambridge are both within an hour’s drive, and the local National Trust properties including Blickling Hall and Oxburgh Hall should not be missed. For adventure and activities, Thetford Forest is 13 miles, where you can hire a Segway and there are designated walking and cycle routes for all abilities and picnic areas. For the kids, Banham Zoo is only 11 miles away, and Melsop Farm Park for petting animals and children’s adventure play area is just 4.5 miles. Explore Grimes Graves, an interesting, Neolithic flint mine, and Castle Acre Priory ruins, a preserved monastic site. Enjoy a ride on the Bressingham Steam Railway, 16 miles, and explore the steam collections and official Dad’s Army exhibition. Norfolk Tank Museum at Forncett St Peter is 16 miles away. Beach 40 miles. Shop 4.5 miles, pub and restaurant 1.3 miles.
