Balewood House is less than 10kms off the Maroondah Hwy, and approx 20 mins drive to Mansfield Township, 45 mins to the Mt Buller Entry Gates & only 5 mins to the closest launching ramp to Lake Eildon
In the warmer months, wander to the water’s edge of Lake Eildon & have fun in the sun.
Take a walk along the Victorian Rail Trail, Visit the Mansfield Zoo or play in the botanical gardens with a family picnic.
Alternatively, relax at the home & watch the kids play in the fresh country air kicking a footy, playing backyard cricket or throwing the ball to the dog * All whilst you sit back & enjoy a nice cold drink while the BBQ sizzles away.
In winter take the drive to Mt Buller & enjoy a day at the snow knowing you will come back to a warm & cosy home where you can relax on the couch by the crackling of the wood fire reading a book or watching a movie on the large screen TV.... The kids can enjoy their own space & downtime in the kids bunk room.
Apart from being one of the best locations for water activities, there are many nearby attractions including horse riding, cycling, 4-wheel driving, motor bike riding, markets, plus much more & with an abundance of wildlife, great fishing, & a relaxing atmosphere. A perfect base to set off from to explore what the High Country Mountains, Rivers and Lakes have to offer.
