Experience the throwback vibes of the 60s, 70s, and 80s in this eclectic, spacious, and colorful retro-inspired single family beach house in prime Manhattan Beach! Only a 5 minute walk to the waves, it offers ocean views, and two-car garage parking. After a day of beach fun, unwind on the cozy patio with a fire pit, perfect for a laid-back night. This home is centrally located, providing seamless access to gourmet markets, trendy shops, and top-notch restaurants.
Positioned on a desirable corner lot, this candy-colored home offers increased privacy and superior ocean views. It isn't your typical getaway as it reflects the eye-catching designs of the disco era! The blend of patterns and florals bring the space to life, creating a vibe that is joyful, carefree, and funky, all while maintaining the old school charm with the warm wood paneled walls, stained glass windows, and colorful ceramic tiles. The property was decorated an eclectic mix of plush and wood furniture, groovy patterns, and velvet headboards.
The two-story house comfortably sleeps 8. The master bedroom on the first floor features a King bed (sleeps 2) with its own bathroom, workstation with a vanity/desk and chair, and a private old-school flap door wet bar. The second bedroom upstairs features two queen beds (sleeps 4), a full bathroom, and a walk-in space originally designed as a closet, but now houses a dedicated workstation equipped with a desk, chair, and a window for natural light. A luxury King Air Mattress is also available (sleeps 2) with extra sheets, pillows and bedding.
The living space features two comfy couches, a 100-year-old vintage coffee table, a 55-inch smart TV to stream your favorite shows, a two-seater breakfast table to enjoy your morning coffee as you take in the ocean views, as well as a Pacman machine to game with friends!
In the dining room, you'll find a 6-person table perfect for enjoying meals, whether they're home-cooked or takeout from local hotspots. Our coffee bar cart is equipped with a drip coffee machine, Keurig, assorted sugars, ground coffee, and mugs. If you’re in the mood for a home-cooked meal, our kitchen comes complete with an 8-person dinnerware set with cups, bowls, and plates as well as pots, skillets, sauté pans, baking sheets, cooking utensils, strainer, measuring cups and spoons, can opener, wine opener, stemless and stemmed wine glasses, cutting boards, oven mitts, a blender, and more.
Step outside to our inviting patio oasis. The table for four is perfect for outdoor dining or evening chats. For those looking to truly relax, there are two wooden lounge chairs paired with a convenient shared side table, ideal for resting a drink or book. As dusk settles, the string patio lights enhance the ambiance. Gather around the fire pit for added warmth and shared stories. Or if you just finished preparing a meal, the patio's direct access from the kitchen invites you to dine alfresco. Located conveniently next to the garage, this outdoor hang out spot also seamlessly connects to the front yard driveway and street, making comings and goings effortless.
Your comfort is our priority. We've prepared the space with fresh linens, fluffy towels, and a selection of toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. For your convenience, the home also comes equipped with essential cleaning supplies and a welcoming starter kit of toilet paper and paper towels. Should you need to freshen up any clothing during your stay, a full-size washer and dryer are available for use in the garage laundry room.
If you want to explore, just two houses away, you will reach the popular Highland Avenue which features a downtown area filled with dozens of boutiques, restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, bars, pubs, salons, markets and more. Or, if you want to hit the beach, we provide 4 beach chairs, beach towels, a beach umbrella, a rolling cooler and beach cart on wheels to pack up the necessities and set up for a perfect beach day. In just 5 minutes, you can be on the sand with a seat and a cooler of snacks/drinks.
PETS: There are NO pets permitted on the property.
SMOKING: There is NO smoking allowed anywhere on the property.
OTHER AMENITIES: A hair dryer, iron and board, vacuum, 3 portable fans, arcade game (Pacman machine) , and beach supplies (rolling cooler, beach cart on wheels, 4 beach chairs and an umbrella) are available for your use. Additionally, two bikes are provided in the garage. There is a helmet and bike bump as well. Please be advised that all guests take full responsibility for their bike usage.
AIR CONDITIONING: The unit does not have central AC, however, there are window AC units in the main living room, dining room and upstairs bedroom which keep the place very cool. There are remotes for each unit so you can turn on/off and adjust temperature to your liking. There are also ceiling fans as well as three portable floor fans.
DISHWASHER: There is no dishwasher at this property so feel free to use the scrubbing brushes and sponges available. Dish Detergent is provided as well.
BACK PATIO: There is a back patio for your use with a dining table, chairs, and a fire pit that is fueled by a propane tank. This space also has string lights that you can use at night! To be mindful of neighbors, loud noise or music after 9:30 p.m. is prohibited.
PARKING: You will get access to a private garage, which will comfortably fit two cars. There is also an open spot in the front of the house on the brick patio. This spot is a first come first serve so you are free to park an additional car there if it’s available.
This property is located blocks from the beach with everything you could possibly need within walking distance. If you prefer car transportation somewhere, I recommend using LYFT or UBER (it is far better value than a regular taxi). You can download it on your phone.

Nice property located close to beach. Be prepared to walk the hill back. Garage fits two normal size vehicles. Glad I don’t take my truck.

We were attending a graduation at LMU this weekend and wanted to find a place close to to the University and LAX. This location met our expectations and more. Located just blocks from the beach and restaurants, we were able to enjoy wonderful walks along the beach, dinners and shopping. The property was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend and stay again, hopefully longer next time.

We had a great time. The property is clean, has views of the ocean, and any questions we had the host replied right away. You are steps from quality coffee shops and restaurants. Our favorite activity was walking a few blocks down to the beach. One bedroom and bath are on the lower level which is nicely separated from the rest of the house. Would recommend.

We booked not knowing much about Manhattan Beach. What a find! Place is perfect for a family! Well maintained and a really fun vibe. Tons of space for sleep and hangout, rooms are very generous. Garage made parking etc easy. Kids loved the old school video games! Would absolutely return
