I was not comfortable at all

Location

I had informed the property owner of my estimated check-in time in advance but received no acknowledgment. On the day of arrival, only a few hours before check-in, I received an email requesting identification for all guests and authorizing a security deposit from my Visa. I was at the airport with my wife, four young children (ages 2 to 7), and my elderly mother, busy with luggage and car rental arrangements, so this last-minute request was extremely inconvenient and unexpected. When my wife mentioned that it was challenging for us to provide these details at such short notice, especially with children in tow, the owner responded dismissively, saying, ‘Everyone has kids.’ The directions to the apartment were also unclear, as they were poorly translated into English via Google Translate. When we asked for clarification, the owner insisted that all necessary information was in the message, though we repeatedly explained it was confusing. Upon arriving, navigating to the apartment proved difficult. The basement had multiple doors, and the lighting was on a timer, switching off after only a few minutes, which left us rushing in the dark with the children to find the exit and reach the elevator. My kids were distressed, and it took us an hour of frustration before the owner arrived to assist us. Overall, it was a very stressful experience. The description mentioned two washrooms, but in reality, there was one with a shower, while the other was simply a toilet with a flush. Additionally, the toilet seemed to have an internal issue, as each time it was flushed, the sound of the water draining was loud enough to be heard throughout the apartment. This was especially disruptive at night, as the noise would wake the children when someone used the bathroom
