he Red Barn offers a quiet retreat close to the vibrant attractions of Tobermory and the Bruce Peninsula. Enjoy exploring Tobermory's charming shops, delicious eateries, and unique experiences. The Red Barn provides beautiful access to Lake Huron, perfect for canoeing, relaxing on the dock, and watching the sunset. Larry's Lake is shallow (3-5' off the dock), making it ideal for kids to play and catch minnows, though we recommend children be at least 5 years old due to the steep cottage stairs.

Very quiet area, perfect for that weekend getaway with your sweetheart or a smaller family. Larry's lake is a shallow, sandy lake. Off the dock ranges from 3-5' (depending on water levels that year) and is good for kids (we recommend at least 5 years or older for the fact there are steep stairs in the cottage) to play in and try and catch minnows. It's a great location for relaxing on the dock. The cottage allows 3 adults and 2 children max.

Beautiful hiking trails located within 15 mins as well as the stunning Grotto.
A vehicle is needed to get around the Peninsula.

Occupancy: 6 (4 adults and 2 children, 12 and under)

The property is in a great central location to everything we wanted to do during our stay. The location is quiet and well maintained. Foosball and provided boardgames kept us entertained on a rainy evening.

If you are looking for a good place to park for the week that is close to all the national parks and main attractions the red barn is a good choice. Just under 10 min to beautiful singing sands and less than 20 to the grotto Tobermory and halfway log dump parks. We appreciated the cute walking paths to the dock and fire pit and our boys ages 12 and 13 spent hours playing foosball in the bunkie. The cottage is quaint, beds are comfortable linens provided but warm in late July for sleeping. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need and nice to have extra dish soap paper towel etc . Grey Bruce cottages is responsive and were lovely to leave us some goodies upon arrival. I will mention the lake out front is small and does not connect directly into Lake Huron. There is iron sediment at the bottom of the lake not making it welcoming for swimming and as mentioned only 1ft off the dock . We did not use the lake other than to paddle over to portage to Lake Huron, however did sit at the dock for the beautiful sunsets. One other point is the fridge is extremely small. If looking to stack with water, drinks and food for the week you will not have room. Overall we had a nice stay however for the price something in Lake Huron would be ideal
