Thought this would be a good setting for myself, husband, and 80 yr old in laws while they were in town to give a eulogy at their friends' memorial, but I wish I had just booked two hotel rooms instead. Upon arrival, in-laws were waiting outside in the un-groomed yard (where we saw cats which were clearly hunting mice) since the code to enter was in-valid and I had to wait for a response with the proper code. No "welcome book" as advertised, wifi worked for only a few hours and the TV didn't work at all the entire time. There was splatter in the fridge, stains on couch, & most outlets did not work. Large Cobwebs on A/C units (guests are asked not to use ceiling fans) and dust on surfaces. THE BEDROOM CURTAINS ARE SEE-THRU, and one window isn't even covered at all. Owner came with new towels and offered to wipe down fridge but that was the least of my concerns -- he only attempted to ask us via the app to reset the wifi then stopped responding to texts or calls with all the other security and cleanliness concerns that arose. I asked for a partial refund and explained the situation why we were in town and that we were not there long; couldn't wait on the property for any kind of response, and a partial refund is certainly due. Owner refused and when I escalated security and cleanliness issues to VRBO, they deferred to owner who LIED about offering assistance. I SINCERELY hope this property is upgraded or the owner is taken off the platform. Beyond disappointing. DO NOT BOOK.

When we arrived the outside of the house was less than inviting. Notice there are no pictures posted of it. The interior photos posted on this listing do not show the level of stains on ALL of the furniture including the headboard showing body oil stains. We did not stay in the house. There are not enough curtains to properly cover the windows, also, they are all somewhat see through. You will not have any privacy. There were crumbs on the counter and in the fridge. The back door has a simple hook but NO lock. LADIES! DO NOT STAY HERE! IT IS NOT SAFE!!! I reached out to both VRBO and the property manager asking for a refund and neither are offering any sort of compensation or refund because we DID NOT STAY. I am now out over $600 for two nights and had to pay for a hotel on top of that. I have stayed in many VRBOs and is not a clean VRBO. Go stay in a hotel.

I debated about writing this review for nearly two weeks. Our family had a terrible experience at this property, and I want to give the owner the benefit of the doubt. However. The condition of the property and the experience we had with the owner was unacceptable. I hope this review will make others think twice before staying here. Bottom line up front: This appears to be a partially completed renovation. The house was dirty. The description of amenities was inaccurate. The electrical system was haphazard. We stayed one night and forfeited the remainder of our trip. We had expected a refund given the conditions, but the owner was unwilling to work with us. Total fail. More info: - The house seems like it was hastily remodeled recently, but they didn't really clean up after the work was done. Dust everywhere, incomplete aspects (e.g. trim, floorboards missing, etc.), and it is a poor bit of work - windows are sealed shut due to paint, there are tarps on the roof which hang in front of windows, etc. - The property is a mess. Overgrown weeds, garbage piles (from renovation, we assume), and badly needs paint. - There are electrical concerns - wiring hanging off of walls, non-functioning outlets, extension cords used as permanent wiring. - The description of this property is inaccurate, including amenities that simply aren't there (hot tub), but also overselling the condition of the home (e.g. the stove requires you to turn on a valve before using).

This home is not ready for the STR market. It is in a good area and lots to do around it. But it is not beautifully renovated as the listing states. It is an older home with a new coat of white paint, minimal furnishings and inadequate window coverings. I We did not stay and went to a hotel after we saw the lack of locks on the windows and back door. The back door had no door latch and was held shut with a key and hook lock. Some windows were painted shut and others did not lock. The home has potential and is charming, but needs to more work to be a short term rental.
