A peaceful step back in time. Cozy cabin with comfortable furniture and period pieces. Lots of games, reading material, and near and far trails to walk, yet close to Lexington, Natural Bridge and VA history. Kitchen is sufficient if you are mainly heating up stuff and not planning to cook from scratch. Small very vintage stove and very vintage fridge with tiny freezer and no interior light. Well stocked kitchen otherwise. Large very comfortable upstairs bedroom with cable tv, and sitting area. Temperatures were in the 70's while I was there, so HVAC system wasn't used much. Cabin was cooler than air outside as nestled in trees. Had a problem with water flow to bathtub but manager was responsive and addressed the problem. Would not recommend if you have mobility or balance problems as the terrain is uneven and cabin has stairs and stopover vintage tub.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at this cabin over memorial weekend! The cozy atmosphere and seclusion was perfect to decompress. The owner provides listings of sightseeing opportunities and things in the area to keep you busy. The amenities of the cabin offer you the comfort and security that ties everything together.
